I saw this video for the first time immediately before the links I made in those two blog posts to here
Ron Paul for the win!
Remember you are only ever given 5 minutes
I say again, this man is a genius.
No one in DC today has the balls, the insight, combined with the perseverance and intelligence of this man
He speaks the truth to the best of his ability
and what the most important thing is his ACTIONS speak louder than his WORDS
Obama and his 24/7 every step of the way teleprompter can go take a hike
I really am afraid of when/if this man passes away
Half Pot!

i posted in your other blog, "Not Yours to Give." I've tried to provide you with some insight that I feel is lacking in your posts and I've made a defense of what Saki had to say there. Hopefully you'll find it useful

You know, I keep hearing all this blathering about Obama reading from a teleprompter, as if he's some clone robot who can do nothing else. Um, FYI, every president since the advent of television has read from a teleprompter. I dont understand why this is such a homerun hit for republicans, to knock on Obama because he reads from a teleprompter when giving a speech. He has stood up on enough occasions to speak from his own mind to prove that he is no scripted goon. He continues to give interviews, attend summit meetings, and have open discussions on a regular basis to prove he has a thought in his brain. Unlike our previous president who spent most of his time behind closed doors or partying on his ranch.
bye now

blathering, I like that
and out of everything, you are going to argue about the teleprompter comment
fine
start here
I am not a republican, and I never implied this issue to be some homerun hit. It is just something I do not like. The teleprompter point is nothing more than one of the many many little points that add up to the actual person imo. I never said no other President has used a teleprompter and Obama was the first to do so. Nor am I saying that Obama should never use a teleprompter. I am saying Obama RELIES on it way more than I think he should need to and I have no idea how he handles himself under pressure.
When even people on his political side say something similar or they write articles mentioning that he seems disconnected with the audience, or never before have they seen a president use a teleprompter at the start of a news conference or that he seems transfixed with it etc etc etc...it makes you wonder where this guy is coming from. Especially when he even admitted himself the very day he became a senator that he would literally have to start right then and there to have even an idea of what he was doing as President. He didn't just say no I'm not running for president, which is a common strategy, but he goes as far to admit how much he does not know. Again, of course this is not some homerun hit, you chose this subject, but if you look to see or try to find who Obama is at the actual core as a person, things like this can start to add up. It is just something that me as a person, who I am, I do not like about Obama as a President.
There comes a point where if you use a teleprompter so much that it's no longer you speaking at the present time. It becomes either your notes, your teleprompter, your team or administration. I would then imply from constant overuse that yes I think most of his notes and speeches etc do not actually come from him. They come from his administration or team.
I personally don't like that at all. I believe OUR president should be able to speak from the core of himself more times than not and not read from a teleprompter or the words from someone else all day. Especially when it's been noticed many times that when Obama finally does "go solo" he stumbles and stutters ALOT and often he says the wrong thing. Ok not everytime, but often enough to easily see if you go look. To me I want to know where this mans core is. I want to see how he handles himself under pressure...way before an election, way before he becomes President. I even want to see an open hard debate like in Europe between candidates where it is well known who this person is and where they really stand. Mad respect to them for keeping that.
This softer approach of always relying on electronics, technology, staff and even sometimes your opponent to know generally what's coming is meh. Some of my respect has been lost.
Your final comment brings up something else from me.
"Unlike our previous president who spent most of his time behind closed doors or partying on his ranch."
Yes Bush did such a great job of not giving a shit and running things right into the ground that really any Democrat was going to win the election. But currently this exact line of thinking gives Obama so much leeway that Obama can never be wrong in anything and basically get's a golden pass by America because people can not let go of the past. Wake the hell up. Yes Bush ran us into the ground. This is past tense. Obama is now digging to China. This is present tense. That's the wrong way America.
Anyone that mentions how bad Bush is or was needs to get with the times.
Ok, yes we got coolered there; let it go and move on to the next hand.
Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him?
Let history answer this question.
fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity
