Hey im about to buy a new PC to have 2 grind stations, my current set-up is with two widescreen 22" monitors, it works well, but im considering buying a 30" but im not sure wich option works the best, i kinda feel that two monitors allows you to have a more organized screens, not sure.

So who has tried both and what is your opinion?

30inch
/end thread

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident.

now if u want to actually be even smarter. go with a 30inch and a 24inch or something on the side for HM and table selecting maybe something else but if u had to choose between exactly two 24s or a 30inch the choice is ez.

I got a 27" one and I'm satisfied with it. Didn't buy 2 yet though that was my plan at the start. Thing is, 1 30" costs the same as 2 27" here. So if it's the same, I would get 2 27" monitors. Difference is 'only' 160 pixels vertical (2560x1440 vs 2560x1600).

Baal go 30 its the best. I have the Dell one. I've had a couple 27s as well but nothing is like 2560x1600 on the 30!

that big of a difference? 2 27"s sound sweet, maybe 1 27 would suffice tho

i agree with everyone that says the 30", i also have Dells, its amazing playing on a single 30" with two monitors you have to turn your head a lot more, not comfortable. Buying a 30" (even tho expensive) is the best electronic purchase i have done.

In terms of how much desktop space you get for the dollars, 2x27" is much much cheaper?

main thing is to get high resolution, like twisteds 2560x1440 would be great. My 27" only goes does 1920x1080

My opinion, I used to have one 30 and one 27, but really didn't like the 27, it just felt awkward, so I gave it away, then I used a 30 and a 22, didn't like that either, no symmetry, so I gave the 22 away.

Now I'm thinking about getting a 24 lol, since this one is too big for my graphic card and cpu to run games, due to the 2560 x 1600. It's sweet and all, but I can't fastforward replays in SC2, and I can't run Diablo 3 on max without lag or some screen tearing. And even when it's got full graphic, I'm a little too close, it feels as if It'd be more comfortable with something smaller lol.

I rant about games lol, but just for Poker two 30 inch is probably coolest if you got a wide space. Poker one one and articles, notes, lobbies and stuff in the other sound really comfortable.

I have several mates who claims they've gotten eye problems with playing with a 30 for too long, they get dry, uncomfortable. Like Dokosko, so he sold his two, and now he's rolling with a laptop lol.

My hunch is that Two 24 is perfect, at least for my use, since I like to game and write notes, read articles and multi task a lot. If you got a lot of space, and mostly for Poker, probably two 30.

If u have the money then buy a 30", or at least a 27 w/ 2560x1440...if u play more than 4 tables I believe 2560x1600 is the res needed to tile 6 tables w/o shrinking...if ur gonna be playin vid games on it then obv u have to spend at least $500 on a vid card since u need at least gtx 680 for single card and prob need crossfire or sli cards that r 7870 or better to get over 60 fps.

I love the fact that poker players care more about screen size and have nicer displays than anyone in americas workforce except for programmors, stock brockers, and some IT....like at most work places i know of for cheme engs 19" is standard, 22" is considered huge

i use a 30inch +27inch.

you don't need a 30inch unless your going to play lots of tables. But if you've got lots of monies then get it anyway. when you've got 4 big tables you'll be able to notice a little bit more and play slightly better.

If the choice comes down to one 30 or two 24, I'd go with 24 any day of the week. It's much more organized and you get more shit done, + you can multi task more fluent.

I was always told that 30 was bad for your eyes. I just use a 24.

there is no reason not to get a 30" unless you want to save money

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time
