Should i get stacked here every time? I would have definately called a turn push as well since i had the nut flush draw as well. I've been getting alot of top 2 vs trips in raised pots. I'm wondering if i can get away cheaper.

pf good, flop good, turn good, check call river. if he goes all in on river, go broke.

Why would you check KA on KA589 no draws hit against an opponent that hasn't shown agression on neither flop nor turn?

i told him "you didn't need to slow play i woulda called an all in on the turn easily"

also, would you go broke with KQ on a KQ438 flop with no flush board?

the guy had 44 and i did get stacked.

Also the difference between hitting a strong 2 pair in a raised pot and an unraised pot. Is it right to go broke in an unraised pot with something like KQ top 2?

it just seems like betting 35$ on the river won't get called by a weak ace or anything else that you're ahead of. furthermore, it's like you said, no draws hit, opponent hasn't shown aggression, i think checking the river would induce ur opponent to bluff at it if he had something like AQ/AJ/AT. furthermore, if u're behind to a set, inducing a bet from your opponent might save u some money. instead of pushing, ur opponent may only value bet his strong hand.

i guess it's just my style, i definitely agree with the fact that most players should go broke here, but checking the river is a play you should consider.

If he has AQ/AJ/AT it's not a bluff. Also, these hands are likely to be checked behind. The way to make money out of QA/AJ/AT is to bet. No doubt about it, it's simply a fact. On an AKxxx board players are also not very likely to bluff missed flush draws because their opponent will easily call a bet with Ax. There's no scarecard such as an obvious straight/flush/board pair to bluff at either.

Checking here is a horrible horrible play.

Think I woulda bet more on turn and gone from there. And why you bet 35 on river? seems like a big bet for Ax to call, i dunno. Easy to lose all your $ here though.

i was thinking about pushing turn actually since i had such a strong hand. But i wanted to get value from a flush draw/straight draw as well as a weaker ace and lower 2 pair. I had a feeling he had trips, that sick feelign you know. But i decided to pay 55. And i did.

gotta give this donk a little bit of credit for flat calling on the flop/turn he really played this slow. if i flopped a set against you im just going all in regardless of how small the pot is
