First off all, bankroll, what's a good rule to go by, second its basically an all in fest till you hit the break. What kinds of strats do you guys go with early, I'm curious. |

basically always double rebuy (if that's possible, it is on stars) to 3k chips (so in effect a 3$ rebuy is actually a 6$ rebuy), try and get as deep as possible, id accept any coinflip, probably push good draws on the flop, basically just get all in where i feel i have a half decent chance of winning the pot. as my stack gets bigger i get more and more inclined to stop and be happy, and protect it. i think i'm happy if i get to the end of the first hour with 10k after topup |

Should you LAG it up and attempt to accumulate as many chips as possible? or play solid TAG and attempt to stack ppl that are going crazy? |

I think this depends a lot on style. You have to feel quite comfortable with your skill to spend many rebuys to double up instead of trying to be tight as your expected winnings go down with each rebuy. |

LAG when rebuy is avaliable after rebuy is over, get addon then play TAG.
but dont go all in early in pots u know u gona lose. bascaly early on dont be afraid of 50/50. if you do manage to double up in the rebuy period then you should tighten up since it gets harder to rebuild if u bust, so i'd be carefull after that. |

actually its easier to rebuild cuz you've put all these extra chips out there and your image is great |

Is it ridiculous to enter a rebuy tournament and just not rebuy? |

If you enter a rebuy tourney you really really need to at least rebuy once when it first starts so you can double your starting stack. Starting everyone off but you with double the chips is really hard to overcome. Other than that you dont have to rebuy if you dont want to. If you just play solid then you can often times get a large chip stack without ever having to rebuy again. |

if i'm in a rebuy i want to be on a table with TONS of chips because if i get enough of them then i basically only need to win 1 more big pot against a bigstack plus the standard races with shorter stacks then im on final table
if ur starting table has 8 gay rocks and ur the only one pushing and rebuying it's basically guaranteed that none of you will get anywhere; the good news is most players have no discipline and if u start flinging, odds are enough of the players at your table will too
the perfect starting table has 9 players rebuying nonstop and none of you get moved
starting table is really important |

starting table is important, agreed. its not a disaster if you land on a bad table and the blinds are 12 min or so.
if its a speed tournament and your tables full of tight / slow acting players then you've got a nightmare scenario and your not going to go far, at least - the odds are against it.
i suggest just playing straight up and not rebuying or whatever. try to take stacks whenever you can. start off playing looser premium hads... 99, TT, JQ, JK, KQ.. etc then about 3 levels in you should play very little hands, maybe 1 in every 20... super premium style. This pays off in the longrun
also, focus on people trying to make moves on your stack. focus on one table when playing a hand... multitable is bad for tournament play imo |

as long as you can afford it and the prize pool is WORTH it, going all in every hand, getting everyone to think you're retarded + get them to have nice stacks, doubling up to 6 or 12k through luck, and then take down enormous pots with decent - good hands, and get at least 20-30k chips.
i think it's well worth it... say a $3 rebuy for example that's not the 20% prizepool bullshit with a good 4-5k first prize, it's worth it to put $60 or something in as long as u can get that enormous stack at the end of the rebuy period, cuz then u can support the blinds for 2 hours and just play good hands and stack fish
if u cant afford it, i'd just wait for decent enough hands and just push, or get a crazy mfker on your table and have fun |

oh, and talk an enormous amount of shit as ur going all in. start as many fights with players as possible. they'll take it personally and give you more action, especially at the crucial 12k double up phase |

$22, $55, $100 rebuys are not the tourneys to use this strategy.
$3r, $5r, $10r GUARANTEED events that AREN'T 20% are worth it though. |
