This is probably the worst play I've ever done in my life... but I think that betting sequence says AA... I've lost 3 buys this week like this... the other 2 were all in preflops but this time I said... wait, the only hands this guy would play this way are KK or AA.... in fact, it's the same analysis used to throw QQ away preflop... because if you throw QQ down you're afraid of AA or KK... but if you have KK it's likely he has AA. |

4 handed i dont think theres anything wrong here - unless you have a VERY strong read |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |

I called preflop because it was 10% of my stack to see a flop where I'd trip 14% of the time... my goal was to trip and stack or miss and fold... but how could I let go of KK to such weak bets.... it seems like he has AK and is doing a very weak continuation bet... in reality, the pot is huge, and he knows I'm only drawing to a 2 outer... so why not take advantage and slowly push my money in. He has 3 chances to bet so why not bet an irrissitable amount first...
From now on when I sniff out AA like this... I'm folding... does it sound smart? |

why not check/raise and find out right there on the flop insteald of sometimes laying down to queens |

Also, since I would only do this bettin sequence with 2 hand... the reraise from 8 to 20$... It would be unprofitable for someone to try to push me off of KK.... if I were to play it the same way as AA up till that point
what do I mean... well say, everytime I reraise to 20$.... say everytime that happens someone comes over the top of me and reraises to 40 or whatever. Action, if I have AA I reraise and lets say he folds and I take 40$, if I had KK I fold and he takes 20$. Since you get AA as much as KK, I would have KK 50% of the time and AA the other 50%... so I would have an expected value of 10$ per hand profit if it were to go no further with my AA holding.
For this reason I don't think folding KK in this situation is a weak play... even without a player specific read.

because if he pushed queens that much preflop which is doubtful he will be willing to go all the way with it here if I put him to the test.... but perhaps, he will check out QQ after I call the bet. If I raise and he calls.... he still could have AA... remember his small flop bet was small because he's slowly getting my money in... he doesn't need to reraise me. |
