Opponent is 50/29/2, and is more or less the reason I'm not asleep (I promised myself I wouldn't quit before he did as that would be throwing money away).

Anyway, he's pretty aggro - 2.8 flop, 2.8 turn, 10 river (lol), he calls like 50 or 60% of all cbets etc, so he's basically terrible.

A few orbits ago I bet big 3 times with AsTx when I turned a flushdraw that got there on the river, in a Sb vs BB pot.
IIRC we haven't played any other big pots (and this pot was only about 35bb as he folded river).

I'm kinda lost here, I of course cannot call since Tanaka could very well have a seven here, as could the donkey, but then he INSTAmin3bets me.. I don't know if he's bad enough to do this with 2 pair, and I feel like his most likely holding is a straight.

So I call planning to stack off on a board pairing turn.. Although I really hate this. If I call and board pairs I still lose to higher sets, but now also to a bunch of 2 pairs. I beat his straights.

If I shove, I lose to his higher sets, his straights and I dunno if he'd fold a 2 pair hand but I don't think he has one.

Is it just a bad fold and I should be happy to get it in on the flop or is fold fine?

Btw, if the thread I made on 2+2 is anything to judge by I'm expecting to wake up seeing about 50 "SHOVE FLOP" posts.
Oh well, might as well leave the thread up, I found it to be a difficult spot, and I basically never fold sets.

If this hand was 3 way I would have never folded, is it wrong for me to think that because it's 5 way I'm so much more likely to be beat that I can fold? Or is the difference really not big enough?

I think you're really beat here, but I'm not folding sets that often either.

So is it a flop fold or a turn fold? Or do you mean it's a fold on turn as played, but a flop shove?

Fold on turn as played, shove flop.
I can see him having 77 or 76 and he's prolly sticking it in on the flop with these hands. If he has a set/str8 and you decide to shove flop, it's the same as calling flop/shoving safe turn. But if he has a str8 draw or 2 pair here, than there are a lot of bad cards to come (killing the action/making a straight more obvious). That's why I like shoving muuuuuuuuch more than calling here.
EDIT: Folding to his 3-bet is also better than calling.

fold flop after he 3-bets you, unless you think hes capable of playing TPTK/ TT-JJ/A-7 ish type hand/any 2 pair/pair+straight draw like this, in which case you should prob get it in on the flop

I actually thought it was a flop fold, then I post it on 2+2 and every single response was 'wtf shove'.

Glad that not everyone thought that way.

I don't really think he'd min3bet the pair+draw hands, and I dunno about 2 pair hands. I think it's extremely unlikely that he'd play an overpair like this.

This is one of those spots where you can ez fold a set.
