what crown was saying is they were playing on a unsecured personal network, not the poker sites network.. and if you work or play or w/e on a unsecured personal network u should be ready to lose money if a hacker actually tries to steal from u, its waay easy for them to just use a keylogger or a full on trojan to view ur whole screen.. and yes if u were playing poker on any network, it wouldnt change a thing, he would see your whole desktop.
Its hard to make a easy buck legally, its impossible to make a easy buck morally.

does ptr reeally make that much money that they think it would be more profitable to expose this than to exploit it themselves?
Is that under the assumption everyone who tries to earn money doesn't mind being a thief?
this makes me that some people would even consider that an option

I believe it's in UB's best interest to be a trustworthy and legitimate site with honest games. They seem to be in it for the long haul and rightly so. Since they'll make so much goddamn money in the process.
I'll take the risks associated with playing on a "shady" but more likely incompetent site if the games are softer and I get paid more.
they still get better traffic than most other sites besides stars and ftp. and the games are significantly softer. especially on weekends oh baby...

Thinking about it, didnt that one dude massively win at blackjack on UB @ odds that seemed unphatomably possible, like .012 chance of it happening?
isnt something pretty likely to happen to someone if it has a 0.012 chance of happening?

here is a vid i got from the HSNL thread on 2p2 about this...
also Crown, I believe you are thinking of ShaunDeeb's bj run from a cpl years ago. He didn't profit a mill, just wagered like 800k or so. I think he made a cpl hundred? It was really sick though and he created a brag thread on 2p2 about it a while back.

Would you prefer nearly impossible or higly unlikely odds of detection when performing criminal acts?

Research* shows that virtually 100% of the population is willing to cheat, but only a little. There are very few people that would use it to make millions, but nearly everyone would exploit it in a small way.
*See, for example, Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.

research also shows that imaginary things aren't real and therefore virtually 100% of the research on willingness to cheat is retarded.
