MTTs
Python817, Jul 04 2008
So I started playing quite a few donkaments yesterday. Mostly the guaranteed ones throughout the day such as the 11/5/3 dollar rebuys, $27/11 freezeouts and the nightly 50k. Maybe some others but I can't really remember. Now I'm pretty terrible at tournaments so I need to start learning them and start playing the sundays with my fpps since they're so good in value. I'm gonna keep playing them and hopefully win one of these someday. Also if any of you good tournament players can lend me your luckbox that is much appreciated.
June -.-
Python817, Jun 27 2008
So June is coming to an end and it looks like I might have another breakeven or losing month, not there yet but we'll see.
Also need to lose less pots without showdown which is hard when you're constantly getting shit on by everyone and not picking up hands at the correct times.
Played 2 sessions today one in the afternoon and one at night, lost 3 buyins in the afternoon and 2 at night.
Some Hands from today
I duno wtf happened here, I had a feeling I was beat but he instaminraise and snapshoved the river. I couldn't figure out wtf he had so I pushed the call button.
+ Show Spoiler +
This guy probably won the most money from me today, 2p vs straight
+ Show Spoiler +
Had been 3betting this guy a ton and he just sucked out on my a few hands prior. When he called flop I just put him on some kind of pair but when he bet the river I had a feeling I was beat but just couldn't fold to him.
+ Show Spoiler +
Against guy in hand mentioned above
+ Show Spoiler +
Damn shortstack
+ Show Spoiler +
Guess I could've just called the river
+ Show Spoiler +
Somehow this was the only allin I managed to win in 4000 hands today
+ Show Spoiler +
This guy was raising my bb everytime it was folded to him so I decided this was as good of a time as any to 3bet him which didn't work out so well
+ Show Spoiler +
I just instaminraised him since a hand played out earlier vs him where flop checks through and he raise/folds the turn. Not that it mattered in this case since the money wouuld've gone in anyway.
+ Show Spoiler +
Should've C/C the river instead of leading out so big which is pretty bad
+ Show Spoiler +
Anyways feel free to comment on any of these hands especially the AQ one vs 42 -.-
Quit at hand 1k
Python817, Jun 26 2008
damnit -.-
First drop was JJ vs fish that got it in with AQ on 234 flop and turned a Q
Then the second was the same guy KK vs AK
The other 3 buyins I lost was AK vs QQ/KK/AA
Question for you
Python817, Jun 22 2008
How do you guys multi-table, do you cascade tables or just tile them?
How many tables do you play and how big is your monitor?
I have a 22 inch monitor, when I open 4 normal sized tables they overlap and when I tile them they feel a bit small. So I've just been playing 8 tables and putting them on cascade.
little downswing
Python817, Jun 22 2008
15 buyins or so at nl200
After tuesday night/wednesday's little 10 buyin setback I'm having a 3 buyin stop-loss which I hit the last 2 days
I still have little more than 33 buyins for nl200 so if I have 1 more -3 buyin day I'll move to NL100 till I hit 33 buyin again and repeat
I'm not getting in as many hands as I would like since even if I don't think I'm tilting I'll probably not play as well as I'd like after I hit my stop-loss
beautiful
Python817, Jun 17 2008
was a bit tilty somewhere in there
I'm happy :)

I decided to play another 1.5k hand session after the first one didn't go so well. It started out pretty shitty and got coolered a bunch just like in the morning. Things started to get better for me after a while and I ended today up almost 2 buyins.
I'm really happy with the way I played today. I didn't really make any mistakes or spew so even when I lost a big pot I didn't feel bad at all.
Here are some of the big hands from the second session
Big Hands I lost:
AK vs 55 - tp vs set
+ Show Spoiler +
AK vs JJ - this guy is so bad >.< doubled up the last hand shoving QK vs KK
+ Show Spoiler +
KT vs A6 - 2nd nuts vs nuts
+ Show Spoiler +
AA vs 25 - just had me going wtf for a little bit
+ Show Spoiler +
And here are the hand I won:
overpair vs underpair
+ Show Spoiler +
That hand was the only allin I won. Other than that I won a bunch of 40-100bb pots mainly vs people trying to bluff me.
Updated Graph of Today:
playing better
Python817, Jun 05 2008
but still losing
I reviewed my session on pt after today's session and didn't really see any mistakes aside one hand where I called down on K2395 FD board in bvb with AQ
+ Show Spoiler +
So today I'm down $40 so its not bad and that brings the total of June to -$53
here are today's big winning/losing hands which I guess are all pretty standard
QQ vs AK

AK vs AA

QQ vs AA

June so far
Python817, Jun 04 2008
Started out pretty good but what can I say?
Today started around hand 7k
-7.5 buyins today
hm ok
Python817, May 31 2008
So turns out this is going to be my first losing month so far. After my 3.9k hand session at nl100 ending down 2.5 buyins I decided it was pretty to continue playing nl100. Since I had 33 buyins for nl200 there was no reason why I shouldn't play it. I 4 tabled for 900 hands and ran horribly getting set over set/overpair vs set/set vs fd/set vs gutshot and such.
Anyway my BR is at 5.6k right now so I'll play nl100 till 6.5k and try nl200 again.
