Looong and boring session
  remember87, Sep 12 2008

I just pulled off a 6 hour poker session at a friend. We were 3 players and nobody had any luck at the tables. I cant remember when I had such a boring session. I run into some coolers and actually outdrawed a person or two But except from that I didnt have anything to play with at all. People were playing pretty tight and nothing interesting happened! Guess it would have been more exciting to play minesweeper today

Well its soon off to bed. Tomorrow Im gonna play violin so I dont want to be too tired.
For those who miss the concert I´ll give you a taste of whats coming; Karl Jenkins - Palladio. Since the music is exactly as we play you are getting the LOTR theme as a bonus. Enjoy!

Autumn is here
  remember87, Sep 11 2008

So I finally noticed the season change. Goodbye to the summer and welcome Autumn. Some things are better but many things worse.

Bad stuff first: The good weather and free time is gone. I also think I am beginning to get my first cold since last winter (and perhaps fever?). Yesterday I sat at my computer just watching movies and pokershows with like 4 layers of clothes, 3 pair of socks, a scarf and a blanket oround me and still freezing my ass of! That would have been ok if it was like 17 degrees inside but it was 25 so something was definitely wrong with me! I am feeling a bit better today but I let the poker rest until tomorrow. I tried a small session yesterday but my brained was jammed so I quit after a few lost coinflips and standardcoolers.

Good stuff: School began a few weeks ago, the regular rutine is beginning to take place and you dont have to feel depressed if the wheather is bad. Its just perfect to be inside and grind a lot this time of the year. The tv-series are also starting to roll! My favourite show, Prison Break, is on its 4th season and I think it has potential to be the best so far!
The past week I´ve also gone through the swedish "Morgonsoffan" with many of swedens best comedians. I really can recommend that for those who understands swedish since they are doing such a great job mocking with both politics and the tv-industry.

Not a good start
  remember87, Sep 08 2008

My first session here was kind of the worst I have played in months, not able to focus at the game at all... I made basic mistakes, didnt follow my instincts and didnt even try to handread my opponents. And the worst mistake; I didnt try to fold when I was beat so I paid of in two potts I usually dont ever do that:

The only good thing I did was close down after 500 hands. One of the things that has saved me a lot of money during the years has been to never play when I am
1. Tired
2. Hungry
3. Not motivated.
(Since I dont drink I cant play drunk but if I had been doing that, that would also be on that list.)

Since I broke against my third rule I guess I only have myself to blame.

Well, no poker now until wednesday. Tomorrow I have to practise some violin since I am going to play at "kulturnatten" (an annual event in uppsala where the whole town is filled with music and culture) on saturday with Livets Ord. If I havnt got this wrong I think we will have a stage at "stora torget" (the big square in the middle of Uppsala) so there will be plenty of people listening. So that will be fun!

Hi guys!
  remember87, Sep 08 2008

So. I have been following this forum some time now without becoming a member. Especially the blog of Dustylove and SakiSaki but also some other people. Anyway, I was at Dustys party this friday and met Pinball and Malmis who only had great things to say about Liquid. Since Dusty have tried to get me here before and I actually dont have a reason not to, I thought, why not give it a shot! I hope I can learn a lot from all of you and hopefully give something back too!

First a short presentation: My name is Daniel, I am 21 years old and live in Uppsala, Sweden. I´ve gone 2 out of my 4,5 year law-eduaction, just beginning my 3rd year. Beside school I play violin and love poker!

I started playing poker like 3 years ago. Not knowing anything I learned to play basic poker for a school assignment (projektarbete in swedish). I started pretty low, had some luck in the beginning months before I could beat like NL50. From there I studied a lot, learning about bankroll management, potodds and all that basic stuff that every serious pokerplayer knows now (but not then). After about 3-4 months I played NL200, jumping from different sites, InterPoker, UlimateBet, Parbet etc but I never found the site for me. When I met Dustylove in autumn 2006 he brought me to Unibet where I played for 2 years.

The games were good in Unibet for a long time. I ran good, played well and won a lot of money. But I still kept playing at NL200. As soon as my bankroll went over 10k I took out like 3-4k and invested them in stocks, or just had fun with them. This summer thou, I decided I needed to go up in level because I didnt improve my game at all, just playing pretty standard TAG, and I found it pretty boring. But of course I go on like a downswing during the summer months and I lost all my interest in sitting inside and just play.

In mid August I then decided that this was enough. Unibet had some trouble, I went mad, took 1300$ and put them on Full Tilt for a fresh start (taking home the rest to buy stocks ) I have since then grinded that up to 5k with 500 coming up in rakeback.

At the moment I play 4 tables NL100 and 2 tables NL200, when I pass the 6k mark I will play 6 tables NL200. My main goal is to go up in level pretty fast. I will not withdraw any money and hopefully I can reach NL600 in some months. Since I have never played up there I wont have any futher goals, but just see how it goes and always do my best!

I really havent had much thought about what I will write in this blog. I will upload hands, let you know how I am doing, and just hanging around. If you want me to write more pokerstuff or go into more whats happening besides school, let me know!

Anyway, I am looking forward to become a member of this community and all what that means!

See you around!
