Last night was the first time I was able to go out and get shitty in a long time. Finally had a Sunday off so I was long over due for getting er done with my buddies. I had a hokcey game last night that we managed to win 7-4. The back of my ribs are killing me right now. I hit this huge fuck last night and he was so solid it knocked the wind outta me when I hit him. Im not a small guy by any standards (6'1" 197 lbs) but this guy is probably about 6'4" 240 atleast.
After my game I went to a friend of mines place for a little pre drink. I got there a little bit late so I couldnt really get a good buzz going before we hit the bar. We ended up going to Fubar which is always good for a drunk night no matter how much you like or dislike this bar. It seriously was a huge reunion there though. I saw so many people I knew or people that I havent seen for the longest time. Nice to see all of them.
My buddy ended up getting kicked out because he was just so shitfaced. He had the wobbles going and I called him on it. Next thing I know he got kicked out for being too drunk haha. After he got the boot I left to go find him becuase hes got some loose lips when he gets the boose in him and last time we were at this bar we ended up getting in a huge scrap with some guys + bouncers because he started lippin so I figured I better go see if hes doing alright and I was already so fucked so I was fine with leaving. I found him at Pita Pit, we got some food and went back to the house with 2 of my other buddies.
We got back to the house, got into the whiskey and smoked a nice session. Before I knew it, it was 5am. I crashed hard and ended up wakin up at 9am when everyone was leaving ugh. I decided to drive home so I could get a nice sleep in my own king size bed instead of some shit couch. All in all it was a good night and Im glad I got to see everyone.
I got back up around 3:00 or so and started to play. The tables really werent that good. I lost a few hands here and there and lost a set over set and was stuck about 25BB which isnt really that bad at all. I took a break and started up again after I got some food and me and just about 10 mins ago I got even thanks to one big hand.

Yet again I didnt have to go into work. It kinda sucks becuase I need all the money Ican for school but w/e. Ill take what I can get. No point in going to look for another job that Im only going to be wokring at for a month and a bit. Since I didnt have to work I put in a nice early morning session. Just so happeneds I got into some realy good juicy games and ran very hot.
This is my graph for the morning session. 68BB in under 300 hands.... yea I ran unreal. Huge donks actually were making really big hands against me but I still had the bigger hand and played them to maximum value. I think I had set over set 3 times and everytime I had the bigger one. I had a couple guys go crazy with there two pair vs my nut straight once or twice which was nice too.
This is the graph so far this month. Starting to look a lot sexier. I kno its a small sample still but my stats are right where I want them so far and my new adjustments that Ive made are working well.
Im going to start taking a new line with middle pair on a pretty dry board. I think if I start raising the turn a bit more I will be able to get a free showdown this way becuase the player will usually check down the river. If a brick hits I can valuetown it as well.
Running hot is always nice. I think Im going to go make a feast then maybe play a tourney before I go to hocey. Hopefully tonight we actually burry the team were playing because there just a bunch of clownshows.
How is it possible to loose a fucking hockey game when you out shoot the team 56 to 25... yea thats right. My team tonight totally out played the other team but we got fucked over and lost 6-4. There goalie is a fucking luck box and our goalie... fuck tonight let in some cheeseburger goals man. Just my little vent... kinda mad we lost a game we shoulda owned. Bounces just dont go your way sometimes I guess.
I gotta work at fucking 6am and its 1220 right now... going to be a long day ugggh. Might grind tomorrow we will see.

I really love waking up at 5am after having a a terrible sleep, driving all the way to work to find out that you have the day off. Its not so bad I guess but I probably would have rather worked at least a few hours because it looked like people were going to get sent home eventually anyways.
Im going to put in a very nice session today and set the goal at winning 20-30 BB. After that Im going to call it a day. I might play in a donkament too... havent played in one for a while kinda got the itch to try and take one down today for some reason so wish me luck. Ill update this page throughout the day with how shits going.

I always seem to get stuck like 20 BB right away and have to fight to get even again lol its annoying. I just played about 500 hands and it was a struggle. I just broke evena couple of minutes ago but I think I need to take a bit of a break, eat a bit and clear my head.

I guess is alright. Ill take anything thats not in the negative. Like I said Ive been trying a bit of a different style of play then Im used too. More raising instead of flat calling to help show more strength in my hands to confuse opponents so they dont know if I got the nuts or not much at all. Going alright but I gotta fine tune it. I think Ive decided that at the end of next week (Sunday) Im going to review my hands more and see where I went wrong etc. This will let me see how my style is working and how I can adjust.
Pokerstars, pokerstars, pokerstars. What can I say....? I really like the software the site has. Due to complications with FTP I said fuck it and came back to Pokerstars. Ive havent been lucky at all on this site... seems like I got that doomswitch. Anywyas I instantly got down 30BB... ewe. I grinded a bit and managed to break even. Taking a break for now. Really want to get over to FTP so I need to work out a few things first. I got rakeback and a bonus just waiting to be used.
Im trying to fix up a few things in my game. I think Ive been cold calling too much so Im trying to open up my 3 Bet ranage and throwing a few hands I might just flat call with into the muck instead. Im going to keep tring it and see how things go with it. I know that is a bit of a leak in my game... my VP$IP and PF Raise gap is to big. Im going to take a break for a bit then just grind it out again and hopefully end the day in the plus. Ill throw a graph up for the end of the day.

The cleaners...not really that great of a movie. Not a bad one though but I wouldnt suggest it to anyone. I just saw K2O4's blog post on South Park and Obama and I cant wait to watch it lol its probably fuckin jokes haha.
I also managed to beek out a 20BB win... or one buy in what ever you want to call it. I think I just need to keep it simple and play pretty ABC at these tables because people arent usually lying and play straight up. I just gotta get out of the way when I know Im beat and get the bets in when Im ahead. Not going to bother putting up the graph... pretty much the same as the first one but a little higher in the + side.
I said earlier that I was wanting to try and get my VP$IP and PFR closer together and it worked pretty well. By raising more hands instead of flat calling it disguises my hand strength and these players are just to dumb and automatically give me credit. Ive also started throwing away hands that I might call with in certain situations even though its probably not the right decision. Anyways Im going to keep looking over my stats and see where I can improve on.
Tomorrow I gotta go to work. Hopefully I get some hours in Ive been getting fucked over and they keep sending all the low senority people home. Sucks when Im trying to save for school and Im not getting hours.
My internet has been really shit the last couple of days... you would think that you would get consistency from a well established company like rogers and on top of that you are paying for it. The last month or so my internet has just been shit but I think its the worst today. Always disconnecting, reconnecting. Really annoying.
I took all my money off Absolute... that software is not working well for me lol. It says there are only 50 ppl online with like 7 tables going or some garbage. Enough of that.
Ive been debating a few things and Im just curious to what you guys have to say about this. Im not the ind of guy that throws down 1k+ hands a day and Im not a very high limit player.(yet) Now Im having the old debate on what site to play on. STARS or FTP? I know STARS has a special VIP program with points but I hear you have to play very large amounts of hands for it to be beneficial to you and I doubt you will get a lot of points at the levels I usually play online.($.25/.$.50 - $1-$2 LHE) I have rakeback on my FTP account so no matter how many hands I put in I will be getting some money back regardless which is probably the best option. Im kinda curious how the STARS VIP works though. Do I have to have atleast Platinum for it to benefit me or what?
Absolute poker is treating me pretty nicely... maybe Im running good? I think it more so has to do with my table selection and stop loss. Ive been watching the tables pretty closely since Im a new player on AP and when they seem good (high % players to flop + relative short stacks) I jump in a make a few bucks then leave. Ive found that if I win around 15-20BB Im happy with that and can leave. So far its worked to my advantage. Heres my stats since I jumped on AP 3 days ago.
So in 3 days im up 60BB! Pretty nice. Im running at 4.27BB/100 which might not be sustainable with the rake but I think I can keep it up there at these limits. Its pretty soft games. Ive paid another 40BB in rake... ew. Good thing I have rakeback. Hopefully I can keep playing well for a while because I could use some extra money right now.
Ive been trying to save for school which today I found out I got into a course I really wanted to take which is awesome. Now I have to figure out how I can grab a student loan to help out with rent and shit when I move down to London. If anyone from Canada has gone through this process Id be interested in hearing on what kind of deal you cut with your parents... if your parents are rich and they pay for it all I dont care. Im thinking my school costs for the year will be about 2k and thats not including rent for a year. Im looking at places right now that rent out for about 400-450 a month. Im going to be moving with 1 buddy for sure maybe 3. I have to figure out how I can work this financialy with myself and my parents. Ive heard OSAP helps out with tuition but Im not sure If I can get that right now or if Im even qualified. Anyways if you are a student and had this problem that I had I would like to know how you guys went about it.
Right now Im going to go out with some buddies, smoke a j and chill out. If the tables are good when I get back then maybne Ill jump on and grind out a little bit of a win.

The only other thing I did today was play a bit of the new Fable game. Its pretty sick so far but I feel like theres so much more I can do in the game besides the main quests. Next time I play Im going to walk the world for a bit and do a lot of the side quest. I just got to the part where you are about to go to Lucians island with that Monk monster of a girl lol. So far so good.
Tomorrow I have to work... ugh. I honestly have the worst fucking shift these last couple weeks. Hopefully I can get a weekend off soon and go out and just get shittered with the boys.
