Running really bad, i cant seem to win any hands at all.

Especially vs short stacks, they have top pair and hit 3 of kind on river always, fucking sucks.

On the plus side, i got my pokertracker finally so thats alrite.

Current BR: $550

Think im gunna move my roll over to full tilt for rakeback and hope for some better luck there

The bad beats continue!
  Critterer, Feb 17 2007

Wow my blog is a real fucking whinefest but jesus christ i need somewhere to vent my frustration.

This is unreal i managed to lose:

KK vs AA preflop, twice.
KK vs QQ hit set preflop.
flopped 2nd nut flush vs flopped nut flush.
set vs overpair allin flop, he hits set on river.
set vs higher set.

then the most insane beat of my life, this one is the best of the lot i reckon.

my set of 2's vs his top pair, he hits QUADS ON TURN AND RIVER WTF??? he needed to hit BOTH the other queens in the deck to win and he did it?? un fucking believable.

why do bad beats seem to come along all at once? if they were spread out it wudnt be so bad but wtf they all come within like 1 hour of each other.

have to show like that since poker.com has some retarded system for hand historys they put it in some userfriendly bullshit i think i mite leave the site only for this reason its well frustrating.

anyway on the plus side im actually breakeven for the session, shame about the beats id probably be about like +8 buyins otherwise.

Current BR: $680

My mate also has found the solution for bad beats:

  David says:
it's recommended to wank at least once per poker session tbh

Problem Hands
  Critterer, Feb 17 2007

Now, theres some hands i have issues with playing, more to the fact i dont really know the best line to play.

AJ is a hand i have problems with a lot.

So, my question here is, how is best to play:

A) AJo, late position/button.

I'm mostly stuck if i get a raise first, mostly i am tempted to reraise to see how strong their hand is, however if they call my reraise im effectively drawing dead?

Is it better to fold AJo late position to a raise, this seems a bit tight to me. If theres no raise i will raise this 100% of time and if i hit my ace assume i am good and go to war with it, unless i get some really fishy play/obvious flush hitting.

B) AJs, late position/button.

This hand is similar but has flush posibilities, how much stronger does this hand become being suited? I'm not sure tbh. How do you play this hand in comparison to AJo, do u reraise this more?

C) AJo, early position.

I really hate this position here, i usually raise/call dependant on table image, i really dislike calling now with AJo though, even if i hit my ace in an unraised pot theres a chance i cud get cained by a freak hand like 48o. Best to just fold this early position? again tho seems a bit tight to me.

D) AJs early position.

I usually raise this hand here but again not sure if this is good play, im mostly looking to hit the flush or my ace, but if i get TPTK with jack i usually assume im good here. If i get reraised im a bit clueless and generally just fold it or call and hope to hit flush draw on flop.

This is for 6max 25NL.

Any advice/opinions appreciated

Quads...
  Critterer, Feb 17 2007

Was playing another game of poker with my mates last night, luck wasnt on my side at all, wasnt hitting anything at all.

One of my mates though, got quads 5 TIMES. This is in a tournament style game of 5 players that lasted only about 4 hours... insane!

Anyway back to real poker, had a good session ish this morning, up 2 buyins.

BR: $725

Been running bad
  Critterer, Feb 14 2007

Running really shit, dont think my play has changed ive just been running bad =/ if it continues i may well have to drop down to $10nl again which i really dont want to do.

Finished another losing session this time down almost 4 buyins. Stupid shit like my nut fullhouse vs quads etc.

Anyway:

Session length: 5 hours
Profit: -$98

Current BR: $700

Can afford to lose about 10 more buyins i reckon before i have to move down, lets hope i run well again soon so i can stay up.

On a happier note i think im getting my pokertracker soon, my promotional thing is being verified so dunno how long that takes tho~

I'm thinking i will play NL25 until end of month, when i will transfer over to fulltilt and play there with whatever BR i got, hopefully enuff to continue NL25 there.

Boring session
  Critterer, Feb 14 2007

Break even over ~3hours or so, nothing fun at all.

Played solid, didnt run very good, but managed to keep myself average. So reletively pleased.

Better than a losing session at least.

Session Length: ~3hours
Profit: ~$0

Current BR = $850

Running nice again!
  Critterer, Feb 13 2007

Well had another fantastic session, took some REALLY bad suckouts, straight vs 2pair that boats up, set vs backdoor flush hitting etc, that kind of shit. But oh well, ended up WAYYYY up for the session.

Played about 5-6 hours or something total, up $400 on NL25 so that aint bad at all!!

Heres a screenshot showing my stack sizes for my tables at one point near the end of the session:D:D

Also i had another table open just b4 i took this screenshot where i was at around $70 or so

12 buyin stack - ship it!!

??
  Critterer, Feb 13 2007

You are dealt 56s and call an unraised pot,
up comes J39 all suited,
guy leads with pot size bet,
you raise, he pushes,
call or fold?

Tuesday Morning
  Critterer, Feb 13 2007

Hmmm

Well todays session is currnetly about break even..

I keep playing solid poker, slowly and steadily increasing and then get dealt KK and think, nice, here we go, go into a reraise preflop war and lose a buyin against AA. Happened 3 times in 3 hours.

Oh well, least im not down massively like last session.

I do think its rigged though. Only played on poker.com for like 3-4 days and ive had KK vs AA literally 10 times...
