Rebuilding

Hello everyone. I've been lurking around the forum for about a year now and thought it would do me some good to start blogging and contributing to the forum.

I started playing just under a year ago (late 2009) and started to do my grinding at NL10. Started to really get into the game and was reading a lot of the posts here about anything related to poker and the hardships that people overcame before their grand successes. After about 6-8 months of grinding, I moved up to 6-tabling NL200 6-max and some heads-up on the side. I have a habit of doing stupid stuff and decided it was time to bust 70-80% of my bankroll in under two days. Determined to rebuild and move my way back up, I decided to switch up sites, clear my database, and really try to think about how I play poker.

I've been rebuilding my roll at NL50 this September and I feel great doing it too. I feel that busting most of my roll was a good experience and helped me grow as a player (although I did not feel that way at the time). I am sticking to 4-tabling 6max thus far, although I usually switch to two tables of HU/6max each to keep me from going into autopilot or surfing the net.

I have a tendency to go into a "loose-passive mode with random spazzing" after losing 3-4bi into a session. My play becomes much sharper after I lose around 6-7. I feel that is one leak I see myself recreating so far in my sessions (I also have a tendency to play long losing sessions when it should be quite the opposite... stoploss maybe?). Aside from those two big leaks, the other smaller ones I intend to fix when I adjust my play at NL50 (4betting light way too much against standard regs, etc).

Most likely will take many days off with the release of Civ5 so close and SC2 starting to pick up again.
