I'm Back...
  RAHZero, Jul 13 2007

I took a little break from poker over the weekend, and had class this week, so I hadn't played for a while until last night. Hopefully I started to break my July downswing, as I finished up a little over $1,100 in about 2k hands, despite losing two huge pots where I got it all-in as a big favorite:

Anyway, after yesterday, I'm stuck about $2600 for the month. Hopefully I can get back into the green before the end of this weekend.

June Results / July Goals
  RAHZero, Jul 02 2007

So the last day of June kind of sucked, took some shots and things went poorly, ended up down a little over $3k.

June graph:

My official stats:

Total hours: 100.33
Total winnings: +$28,495.60
Total losses: -$11,697.65
Net profit: $16,837.95
Hourly rate: $167.82

I won't be playing as much in July, but I'm still aiming for 35-40k hands and at least $12k total profit. After Thursday, I think I'll make NL $400 my main game for now, with shots at higher limits only when the games are really juicy. I'll also be playing a little bit on Stars if I can ever get money on there, and will probably be playing a few tourneys when I get the chance. Started off July playing some tourneys last night, didn't do too much, pretty much broke even in the UB $25+$2 bounty tournament (made like $17 after bounties), and won a seat in an $11.70 double shootout on Stars, and took the $215 in T$. Will be playing some cash over the next few nights, if I can get $ in Stars I'll probably be at the $200 and $400 games there.

Bah...
  RAHZero, Jun 26 2007

So apparently my parents think I have a gambling addiction (yeah, so I probably do). Since I have to retake a class this summer, which runs Monday through Thursday, I'm banned from playing poker during the week. As they're still paying for most of my college education (despite my recent winnnings), I really don't have a choice but to accept, especially since I really screwed up last semester. So that means I'll be grinding quite a bit on weekends. Probably will get one last session in this Thursday night, this weekend I'm going on vacation. I'm pretty close to a $25k month, will need a very good day Thursday to reach it though. After that, I'll probably aim to get in 25k or so hands during July and hope for like $10k profit.

Ridiculous weekend...
  RAHZero, Jun 25 2007

Haven't updated in a bit, but this weekend was pretty crazy. Anyway, here's my graph from Friday and Saturday:

Yeah, not very fun. Most of this was at $400 NL, lost a tiny bit at NL $200 and about $500 at NL $600. Some hands to illustrate how well I ran over this period:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218249
Ugh, no way I'm ever giving up AK PF to this guy though.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218250
Nice river for me. Could raise the flop, but I'm getting great odds in position and don't want to push out a lower FD or T9.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218252
Typical.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218253
So sick.

Sunday was a different story, however, as you can see:

So yeah, I passed $3k and went straight to my first $4k day. Most of the profit was at NL $400, with about +$600 at NL $1k, + $200 at NL $200 and +$100 at NL $600. And it could have even been a $5k day, since I got bad beat hard in the following hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218267
WTF is with flop call?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218268
Guy tried to convince me afterwards that I overplayed my overpair and was behind his range on that flop. ROFLMAO.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218269
Nice to see my 95-5 edge not hold up.

Of course I had some big hands as well:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218271
One of my biggest hands ever in terms of $$ won. I lead pretty much any turn except that one, and usually lead flop. Playing it a little differently paid off here.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/218272
Snap called that river. Really like the turn check here.

A lot of other standard hands, letting aggro-tards bluff their stacks off and the like. Overall, a very nice turnaround. I'm now nearing 75k hands and $20k profit at the tables (probably have already passed $20k with hands PT missed). Total RB + bonuses is somewhere in the neighborhood of +$3k, so overall a very nice month. Probably won't get too much better though, I'm starting my summer class now and won't be able to grind nearly as much.

Another wild day...
  RAHZero, Jun 22 2007

Yesterday was one of those crazy swingy days:

I started off running well, picking up some big pots, hit a K with AK in a reraised pot and picked off a river all-in bluff to go up a stack early, won a little at NL $600 while taking shots there. Then things went south, I stopped hitting hands, everything was off. I worked my way back up again, hitting a set with QQ against AQ on a 22QA board in a 3-bet pot to win a stack, took down another big pot with a flopped flush from the BB, and had a huge stack. Then, of course, I got doomswitched in what I think is the biggest pot I've ever played, for that big drop you see in the graph:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/216578
Don't really see any other way to play this against this villain. I mean, he's obviously semi-retarded with the hand he shows up with here. He's like 66/30/6 and I follow him around constantly. I'm 99.9% sure he fires this turn when I check to him no matter what card falls here. Just my luck that he turned two pair.

After that, things started to pick up. At NL $200, I shoved a FD on the turn in a reraised pot on a board of KK42, got looked up by 77 and rivered the flush. Had 15 outs there, so whatever, villain was a fish but I thought he could laydown a hand like that and I had plenty of outs if called. I hit a set of 3s in a reraised pot to win another stack (raised from button, guy reraised me from BB, knew he was reraising light, and sure enough he bluffed off his stack to me when I hit). Won another stack with 3s when I flopped a set vs. jacks, and won a couple other small pots to finish the night up nicely.

After another big day, I'm now up over $20k all told in June, with RB and bonuses factored in. It's been a very solid week, up over $1k / day, and barring anything crazy, I should finish June somewhere in the +$25-$30k range. +$30k would be ridiculous, considering my best month before now was a little over +$3k. June graph so far:

Decent day...
  RAHZero, Jun 21 2007

Another good, but frustrating day yesterday. Things went OK early on, then I just hit a huge cold streak where I couldn't make a hand to save my life. I was at a table with a 75/2/2 type player who called every one of my raises and every c-bet, and I just could not make anything against him. The one time I finally flopped top pair, he called me down with bottom pair and hit a runner runner flush. Then I got hot, and won some huge pots, including this monster one with flopped flush over flush:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/216064

However, for some reason, whenever I get up big I always hit a wall and inevitably drop a buy-in or two before calling it a night. I ran into flopped straight under straight, which cost me about $250, stacked off with an overpair against a donk who finally caught a set, and finished down quite a bit from my peak. Still, a very good day overall as I move closer to 75k hands. I might actually hit $20k overall profit at 75k hands, which would be double what I had hoped.

Running cold sucks...
  RAHZero, Jun 19 2007

Just finished a rough session:

I ran about as bad as humanly possible, so to finish barely in the red feels pretty good. The big drop was me getting rivered in this monster pot:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/215227

Then I lost another big pot later here:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/215228

A bunch of other retarded coolers and bad beats as well. Just kind of sucks that I'm playing really good poker lately and not winning but whatever, I'm sure things will turn around.

Sometimes I hate poker...
  RAHZero, Jun 18 2007

So yeah, I really shouldn't be complaining, given that I just finished another $1k+ day, but sometimes poker can really piss you off. My graph for today:

PT missed a bunch of hands, including one big stackage, so my actual total was a little over +$1300. Pretty much all of this was at NL $400, except for like 30 hands at NL $200 with +$50 or so in profit. So frustrating that I was having my best day ever, and over +$3k, and then finished up with less than half that amount. I suffered my biggest pot ever lost here:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/214777

Obviously just a huge cooler. Guy was 55/30/6 and mad aggro. Once he raised the flop I figured he's calling a push with any ace and I'm not getting much more value out of everything else, so it's a clear shove. I'm not even thinking about being behind on this flop.

I also lost a huge pot on this complete BS hand:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/214778

I could reraise PF, but this guy is a complete monkey, 55/25/5, as you can see by the way the hand plays out. Of course he hits his 5 outer on the river.

I also got 2 outered twice by PPs that turned sets against me when I had either an overpair or top pair, lost with flopped top set to a runner runner straight against the guy from the AQ hand, and got 3 outered on the river when I had a huge LAGtard outkicked and he rivered his kicker. All in all, I have to be happy with the way the day turned out, given the number of beats I took, since I feel like I played really really well. I tilted slightly during the sick downswing, but managed to catch myself before it became anything significant. Other than that, I felt like I played awesome poker, so the results are diaappointing, but I guess you just gotta learn to play and not worry about the results, since they'll take care of themselves if you're playing well. I've had a good month by all accounts, and certainly had my share of luck. Anyways, I'm now up $15k for the month according to PT, but it's probably closer to $16k with all the hands missed. Also another $2k or so in RB and bonuses, so I'm still doing alright.

Same ol' story...
  RAHZero, Jun 18 2007

Another great day yesterday. Started out playing some donkaments, played in the UB $200k guaranteed, a $55 deep-stack tourney on Stars, a couple satellites on Stars, and the Stars $215 Sunday second chance. Saw pretty much not a single hand in any of the tournaments, except for AK in one where I lost a flip AIPF on like the third hand against QQ. Anyway, I also played some NL $50 on Stars while I was playing the donkaments, and pretty much just crushed. I splashed around in a lot of pots, called a lot of raises PF even OOP, but players there are just terrible post-flop. After that, I took a nice break, then played a night session for real at UB. Played pretty much all NL $400, except for the few hands of NL $200 shown below. As you can see, I ran and played pretty well:

Started off pretty big in the hole at NL $400, but managed to get work my way back up thanks to 3 $1k pots. Think PT overstated my winnings though, according to my numbers I was up like $2060, so it wasn't my best day ever, but it was close, and my third +$2k day.
