Poll: What poker tracking software should I use?
(Vote): Poker Tracker 3

Poker Tracker 3 or Holdem Manager. I will look into using one when I move up to NL10.

So I keep on steadily winning/running well at NL2. Gonna keep my promise at winning 100 buyins before I move up to prove to myself i have some discipline left in me after busting multiple rolls by getting a little money then playing nl50/100 hu with like a 400 roll. I started with $22.99 about a week ago and am currently sitting with $157.17 which is a $134 dollar profit but more importantly 67 buyins up. Before my last session I calculated my hourly to be exactly at minimum wage in the USA. Made me want to quit my crappy summer job haha but that'll never happen. Anyways i kind of wish I had poker tracker at my disposal but no biggy there. I've been keeping a graph on my own on excel and its nice to see the steady winrate i've achieved. That is all for tonight, played my longest session to date... 18-20 tabling NL2 (6 max) for 3000 hands.
Good luck to all,
Donald

I am gonna keep this blog going so I can also get in that bloggers freeroll tourney... updates on this little win 100 buyins at NL2 before moving up "challenge" of mine are as follows...at around 14k hands in, made about 44 buy ins, 4-5 days in (i forget) and just still grinding. My last 2k hands were the roughest so far meaning just stupid all in pots vs idiots resulting in a suckout or bad call by me with TPTK vs a flopped set or something. Anyways...I go back to college soon, I go to Franklin and Marshall College out in Pennsylvania and I can't wait. It is not easy living with my parents and I could really use a break from working at the bs supermarket I work at. That is all for now gonna log some more hands.
Good luck,
Donald

Fresh Start

Hey guys so I took a 6 month break from poker and am currently grinding up through the ranks again. My friend Chris suggested to me that I should force myself to make 100 buyins at NL2 (Six Max) before I move up and so I know i have discipline (i am pretty tilt prone and need to see if i can grind a lot). I'll be going back to school in a few days and have already made great progress on that 100 buy ins. I have won approximately 45 buy ins in about 12k hands. PTR says my BB/100 is at 19/100 and I was wondering if my extreme success is just a heater? I know I only have 12k hands logged but I feel that nl2 is like taking candy from a baby. Also, I have played up to nl50 6max. Anyways, I guess i'll keep this blog updated so I can hopefully enter that bloggers tourney on stars. Once i get up to like nl25 with like 1500 i will buy poker tracker but I have been keeping a graph in excel to see how i'm doing and it is quite beautiful.
GL All,
Donald

I doubt I will get any response from this but was wondering if any baller out there would want to stake me for the summer (as I have off from school) for 90 man KO sngs and mtts $3.30 and less on full tilt. Would be 60/40 in favor of backer. PM me if there is any interest in this...
Downloading on a MAC
BiNK, May 10 2009
hey guys I have a 25 dollar visa check card but of course it was rejected by pstars and is under the 50 dollar minimum deposit on full tilt. I was trying to download another client so I could deposit there but my MAC doesn't support any of the other USA poker rooms. Was wondering what I need to run PC programs on a MAC client. I think there are programs out there to make this happen was wondering if you guys could help?
Thanks,
Bink

So I guess I don't really have to solid a plan...but i've managed to turn my $2.65 into $335 as of today. I have found a pretty good thing in the $3.30 (90 man) double stack turbo knockout tourny's on full tilt. They are so soft and I have been getting a final table every 1 out of 5 i would say...I consistently get to the top 20 in them...just gotta be able to survive as the blinds eat you up to get to that FT and then if you're there with like 25bbs or so you're set (just gotta run well)...So i guess i'll be playing those till about 400-450 with NL10 on the side (gotta get that rakeback haha) and then move up to the 6 dollar ones with a sexy 144 first place money. Overall goal is probably to have $1k by the summer with having cashed out 500 for summer expenses. Well, off to bed as I have a long as day tomorrow with three 80 minute classes.
GL everybody
-Donald
