W.
  Graisseux, Oct 25 2008

I went to see W. yesterday and thought this was a good spot to steal milkman's concept of movie reviews. I was very enthusiastic prior to seeing the movie and I must say it did not disappoint me.

Oliver stone (World trade center (2006), Alexander (2004) and such) portrayed Bush son as an overconfident man with limited intellect. We get to see W. Bush's life from a human point of view, from his 20's up to now.

Actor Josh Brolin studied hard to mimic Bush almost perfectly, how he talks, how he walks, just how Texan he is. He made a really good job looking like a retard that still can be admired by the American people somehow.

James Cromwell was Bush father. It was really interesting to have a (very) short review of his 2-part presidency. You could tell the resemblances between the two men, while it was obvious that the first was brilliant while the second is the just the son.

In short, the movie explains how Bush son came from being an alcoholic ass in his 20s to an almost extremist christian president. It shows how Bush heavily relied on his advisors (mostly Dick Cheney who really is a dick in that film) and how they could make him do whatever they want because he is so naive and doesn't understand shit. In big, it excuses him for his sins by saying that he is stupid.

I think I don't hate him anymore, I have pity for him and for the American people who voted for a guy that was probably far from being as intelligent as the average American. Did I say they voted for him twice ?

Really good movie, serious subject with good load of laughs. Stunning acting (and make-up) for all the actors that look just like the actual politicians. Probably way better than Max Payne

I guess the launch of the film in theaters only half a month before the elections is no coincidence. I'd bet a 2$ that Stone is gonna vote for Obama.

Rebuilding sucks
  Graisseux, Oct 18 2008

I've cashed out everything last year to buy christmas gifts and to focus on school. Since chemistry in 3rd year's a joke, I decided to put in a little 40$ to start playing again.

My bankroll has never been that big (I had 1000$ and was playing NL25 when I stopped), but now it is damned tiny, so I've got to rebuild. I went through NL2 in about 4-5 days and I thought I would hopefully rampage NL5 that quick too because it's boring as hell.

Then boom

I was running at about 20BB/100 when I started running into so much crap. Last 4 days have been horrible and it's so tilting to think that every cooler is making me stay a little longer at that shit limit lol. It's been only 9 days since I deposit but it feels like months.

By the way, is there anything wrong with my stats ?

September is done
  Graisseux, Sep 30 2007

First nice looking month @ NL25. This is 11k hands.

Am I crazy or is fullring WAY easier than 6max at NL25 ? Is it a bad idea to take a shot at NL50 @ full ring too ? I've tried full tables since only about 1 week and it felt so easier from the first hand.

Uni + Poker
  Graisseux, Sep 04 2007

So September = back to school time = university initiations.

For those who've never been initiated, it's mass fun, you get to meet lots of new friends, you discover the campus and after a whole summer of wasting yourself in bars and clubs you realize that it is still possible to have fun elsewere.

Oh, and there's unlimited free alcohol.

So to wrap up the thing, last week the new students had to come up to the chemistry café dressed up as super heroes where we, 2nd year students, would begin their integration .

I had a nice vision upon arrival as there were 3 catwomen/batgirl (out of 16 ppl lol) that formed a pretty nice trio. All the others were great too and I'll post pics someday (and maybe some pics of me from last year, I'm pretty cute as a cheerleader).

After having them run all over the building screaming and acting like ducks, cows, etc. they were ready for the Kamasutra balloons. We seperated them into 2 big teams which were then splitted into 4 pairs. Then, in order to score points, they had use their balloon (filled up with water+flour) as a penis and make it pop on their partner. The funny thing is that the balloons were REALLY hard to break and that they had to use weird sexual positions found in some kamasutra book we had. Got pics of that too.

The last part was the food fight between chemists and biochemists (btw death to them) of which I have pics also.

Anyways I posted this blog entry because I was wondering if there were many ppl @ university in this forum (I think so), what their field of study is and how do they deal with their poker addictness and the fact that they (I presume) have to study a minimum.

I don't have the pics uploaded yet, so in the meanwhile enjoy those chicks :

Make your life better, get some floofy
  Graisseux, Aug 01 2007

I felt I was doing OK today, making some money, losing it to horrible coolers like:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/242720

So it was a normal day, until I remembered that I still had a 30min lesson available . Without losing anymore time, I woke Floofy up and told him to come at my 2tables.

Then I proceeded to let the floofy skills do the work. Pokergod probably owed him a buck or two, because he managed to call down from the skies about 10 big pocket pairs (including 4-5KKs) in about 50 hands.

(Stole myth's concept)
