Hi guys,
The first half of November I played 0 hands of poker because uni exams went for the first 2 weeks. After that I started playing NL100 Full Ring on Stars, 24-tabling, a game I haven't played in in quite a while. Anyways, I was pretty pleased with my effort in 2 weeks:
At the moment my VPP count on Stars is 145000, so my plan for December is to grind around 175k hands of NL100 Full Ring to reach the 200k VPP 2k milestone bonus. If I make it it will be my biggest month volume wise, and it will be tough, but I feel motivated to reach it.
Played a 3 hour session today...was the most swongy session i've played at 1/2 yet...
I made one bad river call but apart from that I think I played well...altho after being stacked like 6 times I was talking to myself and about an inch away from the screen lol
Hey guys,
So June started out pretty shitty, then got good, then turned to shitty again (teh swongs). Lost 2k on a 2/4 shot early in the month, returned to 1/2 and won 3k putting me at +1k for the month. I then entered a -3k downswing at 1/2, which was of course fun. So today I jumped onto 6 NL100 tables for the first time in over a month to get some confidence back and ran good and played good. NL100 6-max on stars in an insanely nitty game....imagine a table of 1-3 40/5 retards and 2 15/13 nitregs. Paradise There are enough tables running on Stars at this limit at any time of the day that you really can table-select 6 tables exactly like that. There really is quite a substantial difference in the skill level of regs at NL100 and NL200 on Stars imo....the majority of regs at NL200 play like 20/18 pre with a decent 3bet %, while the average NL100 reg is just a multitabling nit... Anyways I haven't decided whether I'm gonna play some more NL100 and get back to even for the month or jump back into the NL200 games....I have played like 50k hands of NL200 6-max on Stars now with a winrate of a whopping 1.65 or something, but that includes like 2 or 3 10+ BI downswings so I'm pretty sure I have a solid edge in those games. Might just play some random sessions of NL100 when I feel like it for the next week or so, since I have an exam tomorrow and 3 next week as well....just less variance/stress.
Anyways, I had better include a graph of today's session, since the title of this blog is 'Sick NL100 Session':
Hi all,
So I decided to take a 2k shot at 2/4 since I had been doing well recently at 1/2 and was feeling confident. Ended up playing a short 1 hour session in the afternoon and a longer 3.5 hour session later at night. Results:
So the shot is officially over which is kinda sad 2/4 is so much fun Got to play some with the infamous Jamie217 which was cool. The good news is at least my red line is solid and if I actually ran according to EV (always nice when on shots) it wouldn't have been so bad.
Back to 1/2 for now, see some of you there!
Later,
Dean
Just played my longest session ever, 4 hours straight!
Also, i won my biggest pot ever, both in BBs and $ (90% of the money went in on the river btw, I didnt suck out!)
Feeling confident playing $1/$2 for now, gonna stay here for a while (hopefully) and try and make some nice $$$.
Finally hit the 5k mark on PokerStars After playing about 50k hands of full ring the last 2 weeks or so, I decided to take a day off and 6-table 6-max. Played well/ran awesomely:
Thanks all LP for helping me get to this milestone, even if most of you still don't know who I am haha.
Good luck everyone,
Dean
Total hours played: 5
Total hands played: 7751
Total Profit: $446.80
So I wasn't able to play at all on April 2, and only had time to play for 2.5 hours today (April 3). Had a pretty swingy session:
I played in the SCOOP Events 1 and 4, only the low variants. I loved the structure of the $5R, and i finished in around 1500th out of 27000 for like $60 which was ok, but a little disappointing, considering it took like 7 hours to get to that spot and I had an above-average stack for the majority of the tournament. Here is my planned schedule for SCOOP:
Event 5: Low and Medium
Event 8: Low and Medium
Event 10: Low and Medium
Event 17: Low
Event 21: Low
Main Event: Low
Hopefully I can run good in one of these and give my bankroll a welcome boost
gl to everyone else playing any SCOOP events,
Dean
