100nl
  Sloverville, Jul 13 2008

First 2 weeks at 100nl have gone kinda meh. Im making more an hour because im 9-tabling instead of 6. But my winrate has been basically chopped in half compared to 50nl 6m.

The last few days ive really tried to ramp up my 3-betting so my hands look less transparent post-flop. I had been playing 20/17 with a 4.5% 3-betting average. This weekend i played 23/21 with an 8% 3-bet. I ran like shit all-in but for the first 2 days this month my money won without showdown was above 0. Yay me.

Why do i all of a sudden go through stretches during a session where i just start flatting raises in spots where i normally 3B??? Not only that, but when i start doing more flatting than 3-betting, i very rarely play back unless i hit something. I cant exlain why this happens. When it does happen, its usually begins an hour or two into a session. Maybe i should take breaks more frequently when playing. Who cares.

My results so far this month:

I watched a CTS 5/10 HU video today. Never thought i could learn so much in such a short amount of time about HU. Soooooo sick.

I need a break.

1st day back at 100nl....
  Sloverville, Jul 01 2008

Things couldnt have started out any worse for me today. For the first 2 hours i played so passive postflop it was embarrassing. I took a break to refocus and came back aggressive only to run KK into AA twice, and then this beauty + Show Spoiler +

. Before i knew it i was down $600 and felt fairly helpless. Another break, came back and finally started getting some breaks of my own n top of my hands holding up. Sooooo many regulars playing right now with the Double VPP promotion.

My immediate observations on 100nl 6-max compared to 50nl 6-max is the level of competition is somewhat identical. I think more players play back postflop in 3-bet pots. Here are a few more hands from today:

Shitty winrate but all things considering, i'll take it. Grizzaph:

Oh yeah, hehe....

[ ] 5k month at 50nl
  Sloverville, Jun 30 2008

Had my best month so far playing cash games. I had a 20,000 hand stretch where i ran shitty but i just grinded through. On days when i start out stuck i usually take a break to refocus and resume playing until im back ahead for the day. Only had one losing day out of 25. Pretty fucking good month. Will finally be moving back up to 100nl this week.

I'll need to allot more time in July to work out and party with my friends. I didnt get out much this month besides a few nights. I need some Beam and my swimming trunks.

Id still like to get in 45,000 hands this month. We'll see how it goes.

Best wishes.

***EDIT***

DOUBLE VPPS THIS WEEK ON STARS!!! 100,000 hand month?!

Running Bad Isnt Fun
  Sloverville, Jun 23 2008

When im running bad i usually just keep playing and playing until i bust through. Unfortunately by doing so the last few days ive formed a couple bad habits and have tilted at times. I think more than anything i need to play a little less and relax. I want to clear this bonus on Stars though so we'll see how that goes.

(Last 5 days at 50nl 6-max)

These are just a few nuggets. Theres more. Many more.

Played 6,100 hands today. Im pretty sure thats my personal record. In the middle of it all i had a 8 buy-in downswing but still managed to come out ahead $60. Heres the gay graph and results:

Maybe i just need to have a lot of sex. That usually turns things around.

My name is Gladiator.
  Sloverville, Jun 20 2008

This week has been a GRIND at 50NL 6-max. Ran -2.1bb/100 below expectations all-in (-$355). Pretty fucking frustrating but i dealt with it ok. I tilted this week for the first time in a while and at times it wasnt pretty. Not tilting will be my main focus this next week.

Also played much differently this week. Too much flatting preflop and made the wrong plays vs the wrong players. Final numbers were 25/20 as opposed to the 22/19 i generally play. Oh well, learn and move forward.

Choppy Waters:

I am trying to get $500 off of Full Tilt. If anybody would like to trade for Stars, PM me.
