i'm not actually angry

So to my suprise a few of you commented on my blog. I'll issue a disclaimer right now. I'm not an angry angry angry angry man. Maybe just angry, so don't expect posts seeping with venom.
I can actually be quite rainbow like - if for example a patient comes in, has a 5min problem, and handsover 50 bucks. Which is of course still less satisfaction then when a donk stacks off to you.
At one stage i considered getting wireless internet and playing on my laptop between patients. Initially i thought against it because what if i was in the middle of a huge hand but had to go immediately? Then i discovered that uni had somehow ingrained an ethical conscience, and that i actually felt bad.
So - does every1 agree. Playing poker at workplace = unethical?
introduction
stiffpinkie, Aug 06 2007
i'm a jaded doctor with too much time between a thousand identical presentations of URTI (upper resp tract infections).
Pretty much sums things up. I'm currently playing 50NL, and am on a training program that death sentances me to rural australia for 6 fucking months.
Think australia, think stereotypes, think that simpsons episode which ridiculed australia. Reduce population density by a further factor of 10, add in ethanol as a means to get high, reduce average vocab by 50%, increase inbreeding by 50%.
that's going to be my sad life for the next 6-10 months.
Unless ! poker takes me away. So back to grinding
