hey guys

after playing sc for 3 years and being a teamliquid member, where i read alot about poker, i finally wanted to try it out and deposited 20$ on pokerstars 2 weeks ago. im mainly writing this blog because i dunno where else to ask some newb questions.

i really enjoy reading all the hand evaluation threads here, and im impressed by the effort and detail lots of users put in their answers. the outthinking and putting the opponent on a hand part about poker is what i think id enjoy most, although im getting the impression that one shouldnt use that aspect of poker at all, until you reach a certain limit. since the strategy most used at 0.2/0.5, which im playing at right now, seems to be call with anything preflop, check until river, call any size of bet if you got a draw, then bet half your stack if you got something, theres not much outthinking or holecard guessing one could do. although i only played about 30k hands so i might have got the wrong impression.

so my question is at which limit does it start to be profitable to apply these concepts?

also in lots of hand evaluation threads, the OP often posts the vpip of the villain. where does one get that information?

i guess that was all, id appreciate any reply
