10bi, 1000 hands
thundza, Mar 11 2009
Running sick good at 100NLHU. Had a short session last night, +5bi. Just ended a short session, +5bi. In all, +10bi ~ 1000 hands. I've ran pretty good, but my minraise style works very well vs a variety of opponents. Plus lots of ppl suck at HU.

More HU!
thundza, Mar 09 2009
Been a long time since I posted. Unfortunately, last break I fucked up HU and lost a good amount. Now I'm back at it, and crushing. It seems that whenever I start playing HU after being gone for a while, I crush.
Had some good sessions this last week. I like to pick on people that have 200BB+ stacks on regular tables. It's fun taking all of their moniez :D.
Will be going to Vegas for spring break next week. I'll meet up w/ myth and frinkx for some fun times. will probably play some nitring at the wynn... although I probably suck balls at it after exclusively playing HU. we'll see.
some interesting hands from this last session:

anybody know if there are HU live tables? maybe electronic?
HU Challenge
thundza, Dec 08 2008
It's always tough for me to put in lots of hands during the school year. That is why Christmas break has always been special. It's the time of the year when I'm at home, ignoring my family, staying up to 5am, sleeping until 4pm, and playing poker all other times. Ahh, what a wonderful time of the year.
Last xmas I was able to boost my PS BR from 1k to 10k+ playing exclusively NL HU [50NL - 200NL]. This year, I will attempt to do the impossible: 10x my FTP BR. (FTP is rigged so this will be extra tough.)
I have gotten an early start with one week of classes and one week of finals left. Here's to hoping the fish are plentiful during the holiday season.

omaha sucks
thundza, Jul 19 2008
Yeah, so I just got done with my worst session of omaha ever. I played my good A game, didn't make any huge mistakes... -10bi @ 50PLO 6m. I don't understand how I can lose 10/10 (or more) all ins where I'm 66% favorite. I mean, I know the game is swingy... I just don't understand how it can be ALL downwards. :/
One guy always played for stacks preflop:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/488265 ...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/488256 ...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/488267 ... (my mistake on flop? :/)
here's an illustration of just how horrible this guy is: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/488273 .
But he always seemed to beat me. fml
It's fucking annoying, and I don't think my bankroll can take it anymore. 25PLO here I come.
[50PLO HU] Adventure
thundza, Mar 31 2008
Played a bit of 50PLO HU and really like it. Obv my game is really weak right now, but enough to beat the fish . Will work on improving my game if i can find time in between school work. My Hands. Let me know if you have some beginners PLO HU advice, or could recommend some good resources like articles and vids.
Camel Racing FTW
thundza, Jan 17 2008
While at a 1/2 HU cashgame vs helmetsky:
drsthundza: whoa, looks like you've won some tournies?
drsthundza: big ones?
helmetsky: yeah some big ones
drsthundza: why @ 1/2?
helmetsky: lost everything betting on camel races
helmetsky: :-(
He lost hundreds of thousands of dollars on camel races!? I didn't even know that they existed...
[200NLHU] Recovery
thundza, Jan 14 2008
After my last 400 hands went so shitty, losing flips and stuff, I decided to take a break for the night. Went downstairs, ate some food, watched the new Family Guy episode. Eating gave me some time to cool off, and I decided I wanted to play some more.
All of the following happened in a span of 48 hands:
Best hand wins!
Thin calldown FTW!
Pair + nut flush draw
Good turn / river (was probably ahead anyways)
Value push is goot
Decent recovery . Now I can go to bed happy .
[200NLHU] Expert at Losing Flips
thundza, Jan 14 2008
Well, today wasn't as great as yesterday...
To sum it up:
Top Pair, nut flush draw
JJ all in pre
Overcards, flush draw
I suck at flips :/
[200NL] vs AGGROSTATION
thundza, Jan 13 2008
Had my largest HU upswing today @ 200NL vs SFisch4. I've never seen the guy around the HU tables, so I figured I'd stack him and then he'd leave, like most of the other unknowns do. Luckily for me, he was an uberfish that NEVER believed me. Every time I would stack him, he would say "nh" and reload. After I stacked him, he became uber aggressive whenever checked to, and never believed my c/r. He was 3betting me 70% of the time (with him oop), so I sat around a while for good hands to 4bet with. He called about 50% of my 4bets .
Highlights:
Draw hits, was good anyways
He becomes aggro
Doesnt believe c/r
TP is goot
He calls to split... or LOSE!
Flush hits, horrible river
Settttttt
AA vs tilt push
He finally left after that last hand. I wish everyday were like this...
