We did a 3-Way Chop. The two players were probably about as good as me so I decided to take the guaranteed 4.75k score. So that achieves two of my goals for the month which was to FT this tournament, and to make 5k this month.
No graph because for some reason that PG software never works for me anymore. I've been pretty busy the past for months basically making minimal money and cashing out while playing on average 10k hands per month. I decided this month that I was sick of such a pithy effort and wanted to go back to focusing on really working hard at my game the way I did in the summer.
I had a nice score for $866 or so winning a $50PLO freeze-out and considering I have something like an 80-100% average ROI in all the PLO tourneys available on stars I'm going to start making sure I play them whenever I get the chance. Other than that I've established new consistency at 50PLO and after the tourney win have made the jump up to 100PLO. The limit doesn't seem much different other than that I'm finally encountering a majority of thinking but simpleton players. They are fairly easy to exploit and I am currently just working hard at developing a steady game-plan that exploits this specific level. Hopefully I'll be moving up again to 200PLO before I know it if I can manage a good score in the PLO215 weekly which I'll be playing on FPP's pretty much every week.
Just the nightly fifty. Usually there is about 90-100 fighting it out but only 63 of us tonight. Heads-Up battle was Ez guy was letting me take his BB every single time with the min-raise and folding 50% of his buttons to me for free <3. That's all /endhappy.
This is a funny video I found. You've probably all seen this video or something like it before. I don't really know how long the Obama roll has been around.

You finished the tournament in 3rd place.
A $240.57 award has been credited to your Real Money account.
You earned 132.49 tournament leader points in this tournament.
Took so long and for so little money. The players on the FT were all terrible and basically limp-calling/hitting the deck in their face all night. The guy who busted me gave me back to back bad-beats but meh decent score I suppose.
Well I haven't played a PLO tourney in a long time - about 2 months - so I decided what the heck and loaded into a $55 freeze-out. I have been playing really poorly on cash games for the month just straight up not playing my A-game. Running terrible as all hell as well but when playing properly I avoid the high-variance spots I've been losing in. Either way nice score tonight. We made a deal at the final two with me getting 150 and him getting 215 so I got 900 and he got the rest. I had 86k chips and he had 166k so I felt it was the right thing to do. Picture below.
Just thought I'd add this LoL. It was in the links of that laughter-chain video from the thread the other day.
Well August turned out to be alright. I managed to adjust my 25PLO FR style quite quickly to a 50PLO 6-max style. Started my first 50PLO shot at 1050 and just never looked back. Here is the graph for the month. Made a few adjustments/didn't play well right at the start and lost focus at times but overall a very strong start to 50PLO. I'm running at a stable 8pt/bb over about 25k 50PLO hands and will be moving up to 100PLO soon. I think overall that around 12-15pt/bb is probably managable at this stake if you play perfectly but its hard to stay focused all the time so I make a lot of micro-spews here and there. Anyways here is the graph for the month. Oh and I finally achieved Platinum Star again! Only 44k away from Supernova which I will for sure be tracking down before years end.
So my shot at 50PLO has been going well over the past few weeks. I've played only 14k hands but I am running at a stable 8pt/bb and I see no reason why I should ever be less than a 7-10pt/bb winner on this stake unless I'm playing poorly or making mistakes. I figured I would post up a summer graph. This is the first time for me that I've really begun to take poker seriously and try to actually figure out how to become a winning player rather than just grind hands and win inconsistently. I took my game down to scratch several times and then eventually I just got it. See if you can guess the point of the graph where I finally "got it" lol.
Well the shot at 50PLO is going alright so far. I haven't played nearly as well as I would have liked but I'm still humming along at a semi-decent 5.5pt/bb. I'm not really satisfied with this at all and I'm hoping I can bump it up to 8-10pt/bb by the end of the month. I also happen to think that 12pt/bb+ is probably achievable at this limit in 6-max. I had a few small struggles adapting my FR game to a 6-max one but once I settled down on some fundamentals I started to do well. Had a lot of major adjustments to go through over the first few thousand hands but I think at this point I've established my comfort-zone and will continue to progress from here. Graph time .
Well it was a very swing-like and long 2.2k hands for day one of 50PLO. I quickly ground out $50 at my printing monies limit which I beat at a steady 10pt/bb (25PLO FR). Then I decided to start my shot at 50PLO 6-Max. I've got my 5k in the bank for school now so everything I do from now on with poker will be about moving up and getting better. It felt really good to be able to take the steady fundamentals and game that I figured out at 25PLO FR and transfer it over to 6-Max. I figured it was going to be tougher than it actually was so it's a pleasant surprise that after a hectic and swing filled session I actually feel very good about myself and my game. I got started on the wrong foot for the first 1200 hands or so over-playing the limit so I pretty much went back to the drawing board after that point. Made some major adjustments to how I was playing and it worked out very well for me. I think that I should be able to be a consistent 10pt/bb winner at this limit by the end of the month and that is my current goal. The biggest thing for me is just to feel like I'm growing through the effort I put into the game every day and that I'm not just mindlessly logging hands. Graph of the day for lulz.
