Prop day 1 recap
  BJLTNYK, Jun 01 2008

Hands: 6319
Results: +$456.30

Feel like I played pretty well overall. I need to average $333.33 a day to complete the challenge so getting off to a good start definetly pleases me. I don't think I misplayed too many hands but I could probably focus a bit more in 3 bet pots. This was the most hands I've ever played in a day and I did it only 12 tabling tonight. I'll probably shift to 16 tabling after a few sessions. I probably wont include daily updates but just thought I'd post the initial results.

Obligatory graph:

Prop bet begins
  BJLTNYK, Jun 01 2008

Bet is with Mike(nutshot) that I can make $10,000 at 100NL FR this month. His $750 to my $500. All hands have to be at 100NL FR and if at any point I'm +$10,000 I win. Bet runs from now through June 30th. I would have opened action up to others but then I would have had to get a webcam and escrow funds and that would have just been a hassle. I'll try and keep semi-regular updates here with pretty straight upwards graphs hopefully. I'm probably going to have to put in like 200k hands this month which is like 130k more than I've ever done. But I need something to motivate me so I'm willing to give it a shot. At the very least I'll make a shitload of FPPs.

GL ya'll

Considering a prop bet
  BJLTNYK, May 23 2008

All,

I'm still having trouble getting motivation to put in hands but if I have a bet on the line I'm usually gonna put everything I have into something. Was talking with Mike(nutshot) about next month and what I could potentially do for a prop bet. I suggested that I think I can make $10k next month at 100NL FR. He thought that there was no way. With all the "in a month" prop bets at 2p2 I thought this might be decent. He's willing to bet against me. Would other people be interested in betting against me? I'm potentially going to be having a 9-5 job very soon but I still think I can do this. I'm not going to be putting in 16 hour sessions like those guys were.

Interested to hear what you think.

NICE WAKEUP ASSHOLE ASKFJAKL:FJL:AF
  BJLTNYK, May 02 2008

Finally played my 2 step 4 tickets last night...after 30 step 1s I was left with 1 step 6. I waited for the perfect lineup. Saw one that had jorj, stevie, and imnotsogood who play a ton but some really horrible randoms. Barry Greenstein sniped the final spot. Things going OK...keeping above water. Make it to 3 handed v. 2 complete subhuman retards. Then this fucking gem happens. /wrists

Ughhh
  BJLTNYK, Apr 14 2008

So last month was great for me. Put in the most hands I've ever put in and had the best results I've ever had. But it really burned me out. I couldn't find the mental energy to just sit down and grind cash. So did I stop playing and take a break? No. I thought I could do well in other forms. Played some HU...lost to some pretty horrendous coolers. Played some MTTs...not enough to create a sample. Played some $12 turbo 180s/45 mans...DID NOT GO WELL. So here I am...and I've got the urge to grind again. I'm $868 in the hole this month...-$418 in MTTs/SNGs and -$450 in HU. I hope I can battle out of this hole for the month and put up some positive numbers.

MAIN POINT
I know people get burned out all the time and people deal with it in different ways. I will suggest just stepping away from the game completely. Maybe enjoy it with a couple live games(this is what started my passion for grinding in the first place). Step back and reflect. This game is a beast...but with enough dedication it's very beatable. Don't play for the sake of playing. Play with a purpose. I have mine again...look out ya'll.

March results
  BJLTNYK, Mar 31 2008

Welp March was by far my best month ever. Put in alot of volume early in the month and tired at the end. I've barely played the past like 5 days. I started the month at 25NL FR and worked my way up to 100NL FR. The swongs at 100 were pretty heavy and it was a little difficult to get used to. I added some 50NL HU to break the monotony of the cash grind up in addition to playing some SNGs. I also played the Sunday Mill last week and cashed which was nice. Graphs are broken up into two parts because I started a new DB mid-month. I just cashed out 2.1k so that I'm comfy IRL so it's back to 50NL FR to regain some confidence. With that said off to the results!

Overall NL cash results:+$2581.05
Overall PLO cash results(chases a 50 NL fish):+$250 in 20 hands
Overall SNG/MTT results:+$151.70
Staking nutshot in Sunday Million:+$411.65
WSOP Steps(30 step 1s):-$213(still have 2 step 4s)

OVERALL MARCH RESULTS:+$3181.40

Good luck in April all! AIM is BJLTNYK21 once again for anyone interested.

Peace
Brian

Sick 50 NL session
  BJLTNYK, Mar 20 2008

2 straight like 1-2 BI loss sessions the last 2 times I played. Went nuts tonight...nailing sets, having randoms pay me off like crazy...was just awesome.

Almost time to move up to 100NL.

HU with gawdawaful
  BJLTNYK, Mar 15 2008

After getting raped in a 50 NL sesh this afternoon for 4 BIs I didn't feel like putting in another grind. Decided to fire up 2 tables of 50 NL HU. Was dominating some shortstack retards until gawdawaful sat down. We played two tables of HU just mindfucking with each other. He 3bet like every single hand and we had some ridiculous hands. Ended up playing 474 hands and he finished up $21 on me. He had like a $450 stack on one table and I had like a $375 stack on the other. Was definetly fun though. <3 LP craziness.

Graph from HU tonight:

I'm doing pretty damn well at 50 NL FR and really feel like I'm starting to "get" it. My BR is bigger than it's ever been mostly because I'm actually using BR management. I realized today that the only person I talk to about poker is nutshot so if anyone wants to discuss hands or life or whatever my AIM is BJLTNYK21.

good luck ya'll

Moved to 50 NL
  BJLTNYK, Mar 03 2008

Finally made the jump to 50 NL tonight. Man did I get raped in the ass hard at the beginning. Absurd beats left and right. I decided to keep playing because I felt that I was still on top of my game and not steaming. Proud of the results.

GL all.
