I would love to write a blog and talk about how I am pwning it up and crushing the noobs but sadly I cannot write that. I have been getting beat around left and right, fucked in the ass, the mouth, and back in the ass again. Then fucked some more and then a few more times. All in all has been a joyous 28 days of my prop bet. Haven't really thought about giving up on it until this point, I wake up and have 0 desire to play and 100 percent desire to wallow in misery and debate how life would be as a waiter at Applebees for the rest of my life. Then I decide that would probably be terrible and go to my computer to load up a session, run 2-10BI under in a few hours, then repeat the process again. After 2-4 times of doing this a day, I go to sleep, then wake up the next day and start it over. My only joy of the day comes when I play this game on my ipad called crime city and I collect fake money from fake buildings and rob peoples fake money. I knew it would be hell to do this from my other prop bets but I didn't expect this level of it. I just remind myself that its only 2 more months and if I work harder then I have worked before these 2 months then next year I will be able to relax that much more and go back to doing nothing. Oh ya, and I think I love someone, so that makes it a bit easier to go on through each day.
I started linking some of my blogs on my facebook and i'm pretty sure the non-poker players have no idea what these graphs mean and are confused how I still have money to play with since all my graphs I post lately are me losing. Basically the more hands I play, the more points I get back from the pokersites which in turn can be used to spend on cash. In the last month I am down around 11kish but I have made about 15k in that same time span from those points (FPP's). Also when I talk about running bad/getting fucked in ass/etc. that basically means, according to the program I use, I should only be down a certain amount of money, but due to "bad luck" I am actually down much more then that. The theory is in the long run of hands this luck evens out
Here is graph of last 28 days or 288k hands of plo. I am pretty sure this is the most hands ever played of plo in that time span as well
Yea looks fun, first 160k hands was shortstacking and last hands since then are full stacking. My original upswing in the graph is when I first switched over and started playing around 16-18 tables rather then 24. I was excited for a change and did well and ran about normal. Then moved up to plo100, got slaughtered for 20BI really quick while I should have been up 2BI, moved back down and resumed the bloodbath. I am running about 120 Buy-ins below expected, and its starting to hurt my soul pretty bad right about now. Every time I get all in with 70 percent equity, I assume I'm going to lose somehow. As most of you know this is a terrible mentality to have but I can't really get over it because at the end of each session, I look at my hands and I end up winning a few hands where I wasn't a favorite, and lose a ton where I was a favorite. Whatever, I could write about that shit in every blog but not good to always focus on it. Goal is to get to 500k vpp in the next few days and then make a glorious attempt to move up and get to 700k vpp by end of the month in order to set up with a 300k vpp december.
My Online Dating History/Online Dating Tips +Day3!

Poker
I am going to get the poker update for day 2/3 of my SNE grind out of the way and then get to the good shit.
Day 2 was similar to day 1, up a few dollars at the table after 13 hours/18.8k hands. Also made about 600 dollars of FPP value during this time. Felt good, game felt good, attitude was good.
Today I woke up a bit later and have been pretty tired most of the day. Have been getting it in with lower equities then first few days and results have not been good. Have played about 9 hours so far and need to put 3 more in today but decided to write up a blog post about something a lot of my friends on fb/random poker people ask me about which is HOW DO I PICK UP CHICKS ONLINE DATING?? GIVE ME SOME TIPS! I've done some crazy shit and always wanted to write about it so I might as well start now, stories in the future to include the time I met someone halfway (hour drive) and ended up leaving her at beach in chicago, 5 hour roadtrip to southern indiana with friend where I shared hotel room with him and the girl I was meeting, black girls gone wild just to name four.
My Online Dating History: PART 1
Let me preface this by saying that I still talk to a few girls I met through online dating and I might mention some of them in here, will only say good things
There are 4 parts to my history which goes from being 19, busto/broke, living at moms then living downtown in Chicago in my own place and obsessed with poker. Onto living back in my hometown on my own with unlimited monies to spend and sick car. Then San Diego where shitgotreal.jpg
Why should you or anyone listen to me about ways to be more successful in online dating. Well For those people who don't know too much about me besides the ridiculous amout of hours/hands I've played I do have a little bit of a life outside poker. I once did an online dating challenge where I tried to go on 30 dates in 30 days and posted it on 2+2 forums with pics/vids and trip reports of what happened. It was incredibly popular and was really fun on my end to do but unfortunately someone messaged all my Facebook friends (women) telling them I was some man on a mission and writing about who I was having sex with, posting their pics, etc.. At this time I was living back home so I was like "OMG what will people think" if this happened now though I probably wouldn't care to much. I asked the moderators to take the thread down and now it is gone into oblivion.
That experience for me was actually my 3rd venture into online dating and will get more into that later. I first learned about the world of online meetups/dating when I was 19. This was Pre-Sexting/Texting/Naked pics which have become the norm for people . I had just lost my license and my best friend at the time Matt was always on this website called thedilly.com which was basically where you setup a profile and just kinda talked to people/did ratings and stuff like that. I had nothing else to do at the time so I made a profile as well, little did I know this was a life changing experience lol. Before this time I was always the skinny funny guy who was really into cars and always saw all these hot girls but never seemed to have a chance with them. After I lost my license I started walking to the fitness center down the street from me, discovered weightlifting, found out what a tanning salon was and what the hell Abercrombie and Fitch was (never knew). During this transitional time of my life I was doing my thing on thedilly pretty much everyday. Matt would always tell me about all these women he was going to see and end up having sex with and I was like WHOA AWESOME, NO WAY! Eventually I started talking with more girls on the site and finally was like fuck it, lets ask them to hang out and see what happens. Most of the girls I talked to where ages 16-19 but who really knows. To my surprise many said yes! I could not drive to meet up with any of these girls so Matt would drive me to hang out with them lol. I quickly realized that this wasn't online dating but more like online fucking because any girl you ended up meeting with you would inevitably have sex with. This was pretty eye opening for me, an OMGOMGOMG moment that we all sometimes have. Some girls would even come drive over to see me, one really pretty blonde girl, tall/tan/tongue ring, would drive 2 hours a few times a week to see me. It blew my mind that things like this could happen. I noticed as I started to get in better shape and post more shirtless pics of me on the site, I started to get interest from more girls and start hanging out with more of them. Me and Matt would go on double dates where he would bring me along when he met a new girl and she would bring a friend and things turned out the same as every other date would. Once he drove me to meet a girl about 45 mins away, he only had a 2 seater so we picked her up on my lap and drove to a random movie theatre. Matt called up a girl he knew from that area and she picked him up and left me in the front seat lol a true friend imo. One time a girl drove an hour from the city, we went to the "VIP Room" aka downstairs bedroom at my moms (thanks mom) and when I went upstairs to change and came back down she was in her coat ready to "help a friend in need".
There are two moments from this time period that stand out the most though. One was the time I randomly started talking to a girl from Jasper, IN which was about a 5 hour drive from where I lived at the time. She was pretty, little crazy and was all about me so I was obviously all about her. The big problem was that she lived 5 fucking hours away, the second problem was I didn't have a license. I talked to Matt and a road trip ensued. The plan was for her to bring a friend and the four of us would get a hotel room together. The friend she brought was a solid 2/10 and weight about 250lbs so needless to say Matt wasn't too interested and instead it was Me/Angel in one bed and Matt in the other. This whole story is probably worthy of its own blog post in the future though.
The second experience that is the most memorable for me was when I met the blonde cheerleader from the western suburbs, about an hour from where I lived. She was super nice, incredibly sweet, very pretty, and a virgin. I can't remember the exact details of our first few dates but things went well and I really liked her. Amazingly enough Matt was "dating" a girl who lived about 5 mins from her lol, true friend. We started all hanging out together and this progressed from there. On valentines day she ended up driving over to my house to hang out with me. On the way home though she was in a kinda bad car accident. At this point in my life I was all about the lets go workout/lets go find more girls so I probably didn't show enough caring for her after this and we pretty much stopped talking, though Matt did keep in touch with her . After a few months we did start talking randomly and hung out a few times but nothing like it was originally. I drove down to college to visit her and still talk to her now occasionally while she lives in Chicago.
Its amazing the people you can meet from online dating and the experiences you can end up having with them.
There was a bunch more dates that I went on during this 9 monthish time period and not all I remember these days. Most of the girls I hung out with were 8/8.5s with a rare 9/9.5 and the occasional mix of 7.5s. The myth that only ugly fat girls meet guys online is 100 percent false! At this time getting women was still a new concept to me and I was taking full advantage of my new found ability to do so. I guess you could call this my 15 year old girl phase of my life aka HUGE SLUT phase. Did I learn anything during this time or through these dates? Besides the fact that you always need a good wingman to help you out I don't think I ended up learning to much. I discovered how open and sexual alot of girls out there were, no matter if they were really gorgeous or semi-meh looking. You couldn't just a book by its cover.
The ending to this chapter of my life came when I started working at TGI Fridays and started meeting an unlimited supply of hostess and servers along with random customers (stories for another day) that there wasn't any time for online dating. Couple that with the fact that me and Matt started hanging out less and this chapter was closed. Matt still crushed it for years after though and probably still does to this day, kid was a true man of his time.
That is Part 1 to my story and I will write the following 3 Parts in the upcoming days when I am on break from my 13 hour grind sessions. I will give a few tips and secrets that noobs out there can use in their quest to meet the perfect woman online.
Online Dating Tips: Part 1
Alot of my poker friends from around the world ask me for tips all the time and say it is impossible to meet a cute girl from online dating. Well my friends you are very wrong and that is probably a bad attitude to go into things with. Although the strategies I have used might not work for everyone they might be able to help and make you start thinking about things differently, similar to when you first started learning more about poker. If your trying to actually find someone to date or just trying to have sex with random girls then these are the tips for you.
The first thing most people encounter when they begin is setting up their profile and choosing pictures. I myself went with the route of writing about a ton of information on a wide variety of things I enjoyed doing, interested in, or want to do one day. By doing this it allows a wider variety of women to either message you (yes women do message guys) and when you message someone and they click on you to find out more, they might find one or two things they have in common and reply back to you. "He likes laser tag? I do to!" "Wow he loves to travel, my kind of guy" "Taylor Swift concerts? Interesting". I have a few random tidbits similar to those that work super well for me. I come across as a charming, funny, hard working guy that has alot of interests and probably has something to say. Some women actually want some conversation, but not all.
The next thing to do is choose pictures. I didn't want to hide who I am in these photos. I am a shirt off kinda guy who enjoys working out and showing the results from said workouts. To some having a picture like this is an immediate turn off and you are quickly x'ed out of my the person. I wasn't trying to meet those type of judgemental people so fuck them. My Chicago proifle was a picture where I was happy with my mom, a random beach picture, and a few other glamour type shots. Do not put the getting drunk pictures on their. 99 percent of women you will meet say they don't want a drunk/party/bar/club type of guy and are sick of meeting them, etc. etc. Once you actually hang out with them the first time and get along, if you are that type of person or you aren't it really wont matter at all. Now that I am a bit older I have had to change up my picture selection a bit but I am always sure to show off the more favorable aspects of me (body, tan, car). Some people will look and say "look at this fucking dbag with the picture of his car". JUDGE JUDGE JUDGE! Luckily for me their are many, many other interested people out there who might enjoy cars and be interested in me because I do as well. During most of my first dates with women I will ask if they actually read my profile or just looked at pictures and a large majority say they intially started talking to me because of my pictures and thought I was good looking, so choose wisely. Glamour shots, in action sport shots, your best qualities you have to offer, go for those.
I really need to get to work now so in my next post I will go onto what messages to send and things to say to actually get a date with the better quality of girls out there on the sites.
Day 1 in the books, played about 12 hours today today (my definition of a day is slightly off). Broke it up into 4 different sessions, one break for breakfeast, one for gym, one for snack and then one because I got a little tired. Still getting used to putting in so many hours and sometimes my mind just trails off and starts to spin way to fast from seeing so many damn 4 card combinations and thinking to much. Also my effective stacks at the tables get pretty big so I need to take either an hour break to let some new tables get started or take a 2 hour break so I can join tables without old stacks. Still trying to find an optimal day schedule but I am thinking something like 17 hours awake/7 sleeping everyday with 12-15 hours dedicated to playing and the other for gym/breaks should work out well. I also have a self motivating prop bet where I have to put on 10lbs of muscle this month so have been working out pretty hard and upped my supplement intake. Next summer Joe will be very very happy that this winter Joe played so many damn hours/made money and worked out hard in the gym hopefully.
I actually had the mindset today for a bit that I should try to win some money but it honestly requires so much mental power that I get burnt out after maybe 1.5 hours of doing this and simply need to drop tables or sit out for a few minutes and walk around. I think my overall abililty to play more hours/hands per day with a fresher mind outweighs the thinking more and trying to squeeze out a few extra 50 cent BBs. When I start moving up though the impact becomes greater on my bottom line so I will have to rethink this strategy. I honestly think I could just play PLO50 and win this prob bet but it would be a legit 15-16 hour/day grind when I will need to average 250k vpps the last 2 months. Im hovering around 550-700 VPPs/hr depending on time of the day, when I get back up to playing 1/2 and 2/4 that number is increased by more then double if I stay with 24 tables so most likely I will aim for 1k/1.2k VPP/Day and adjust number of tables accordingly
Been grinding out Dexter Season 5 last few days too, almost caught up to where it is now and then will have to move on to some other shows. Watching tv shows/movies is helping me pass the time, I never really used to do that while playing but most of the time I was actually trying (and failing sometimes) to play well and semi-focus on the games.
Need to sleep and wake up to do it all over again now
Just ended my life for the rest of the year and booked a SNE prop bet with my roomate BallCup. I got 3-1 odds and its my $15,000 to his $45,000 and the amount in bonuses I will accumulate along the way is around $90,000.
I am currently at 347k VPP's and need to get to 1 Million by the end of the year. For those people on my FaceBook who have no idea what SNE is, its basically a system on PokerStars where the more hands/hours you play per day, the more rakeback/points you get back for playing. To win this bet I will need to play 12-16 hours a day for the rest of the year and end up playing more hands of PLO in a month then anyone 400-600k hands per month.
Only stipulation is if I get kicked out of Canada for whatever reason then the bet is off. If i lose more then $90,000 playing at the tables I have to quit poker and move back home and get a real job. No webcam as we live together so he will be able to see its me playing.
Some people are going to ask me why in the fuck I would want to do this. Well I like a good endurance/volume challenge and this sure is a helluva one. Also the guaranteed money from SNE and the prop bet is way more then I would make game selecting/playing less tables the next few months so it makes sense to give this a shot.
My basic plan for now is to 24 table PLO50 since some of my hands need to be played there. The last few days I have been playing and seem to go on massive tilt at some point during the session and haven't had winning sessions. To be able to have a clear head and think about all decisions for hours and hours a day while 24 tabling doesn't seem like it will be possible for me to do without losing a ton of money so I have been trying to think of ways to minimize my losses while playing. I've been buying in for 30bbs and playing a super tight game right now and running up stacks and leaving when table is all regs/nitty. Has seemed to work well for minimizing swings so far and will probably stick with it for now. My vpp rate has been lower doing this since I am not playing many hands so I have been trying to overlimp in position in some spots with hands that I would normally fold in hopes to help with VPP and win money at the tables. I'm still trying to figure out a good 3bet range IP and OOP, I think I have been showing a profit 3betting all AAxx hands IP and OOP so far and shoving most of flops in heads up or BB vs SB/BTN situations but when its 3 callers and I am on BTN or BB with weak aces those have been bad spots to 3bet and have not been showing a profit. Also defending lower rundowns OOP or even IP have not been doing well so far for me with stack size and implied odds and FE lower so I am thinking it may be optimal to stick to high card hands as far as flatting pre-flop raises goes and let go of the 3456 and 5689 type of hands.
I am looking forward to getting started playing now and will be updating the blog so hopefully all goes well.
Whats going on guys, taking a break here in the middle of the day and decided to update the blog. Currently on Day 10 of my 240 Hour Challenge and at 77.04 hours, need to average about 8/day so I'm pretty much right on pace. At the tables its been win a bunch, lose, win, lose, win, lose. Can't really get anything going it seems like. WCGRider has been staying at our place up here fresh off his multiaccount accusations. I debated playing some HU on his account and pwning people up but didn't want to add anything to the rumors so decided not to lol. I'm on pace to play about 300k hands over the month but that might end up closer to 200k or 400k depending on a bunch of things. I'm actually up a little over 100 at the tables over the time span so I guess it could be worse.
We still have a few spots in our fantasy football league, its on Espn, 12 team, 300usd Buyin, standard scoring/rosters and draft is Sept 7th 6pst. Have a few pros of poker in the league right now, me, ballcup, wcg, aejones, craigthedeac. Luckily this is a fantasy football league and not a poker challenge so I might have a chance to win it, we still have a few spots left too so if your interested let me know. I'm going to escrow on Stars but will be able to do payouts either online or through wire/check if whoever wins is back in USA.
Think I might be finished up here of Day 3 of my 240 Hour Challenge for the next month but might play another session. Yesterday sure was interesting. Day 1 I decided to play fewer tables and ship the monies but when I woke up yesterday the idea of doing all that again sounded pretty boring and didn't appeal to me so naturally I loaded up alot of tables at once. First session was a 2 hour one that didn't go well. The 2nd session ended about 14 hours later and I played 21086 hands, graph at the end of blog. I really feel like I needed to play a super long grind session because I was starting to doubt that I had the ability to do something like that still. I did not win any buyins at the table but after the 5x Fpp multiplier for Supernova Elite I ended up almost breakeven for the session and closer to a back to back SNE goal. My sleep schedule is back on a non normal one which is the way I like it, my bedroom doesn't have black out anything though which sucks for sleeping during the day but I am learning to go with it. I haven't actually slept with light coming into my room for the last year and a half in San Diego so its an adjustment.
Goal for rest of the month is to end up around 250k VPP and juice up my online roll a bit before I can get started on the super grind these last 4 months here. Me and Ballcup friends just moved up here and ended up finding a place in the same building as us. Luckily they won't be staying at our place anymore which can only be a good thing for the grind, was pretty distracting. I'm also trying not to meet any women so I can get my head back in the grind mind, we all know how finding a cute girl can throw things off and not always in a good way, I came up to Canada to make a bunch of money and not mess around with random Canooks lol
Did 2 more mini video updates and wish I did something like this when I was getting SNE last year because I can only imagine how beat up I looked and probably worn down/burnt out with my super long hair and facial hair goin on. Day 2 is towards the tail end of my super long session and you can see the energy is gone. After 3 days I am at about 34.5 hours right now so making good pace and hopefully can complete this challenge easily
Some people in the comments last blog asked what my go to PLO book was, the one that has helped me alot and still does help me was fellow LP'er SlowHabits PLO book, would recommend it for sure!

Thanks for reading the blog and appreciate the comments always!
Since I arrived in Vancouver about 2 weeks ago I've been pretty lazy (30hrs/week) so I decided to post something on my Facebook that if I dont play 240 hours over the next month 8/24-9/22 then I would ship 10 people who commented $150. Everytime I have done something like this in the past it has helped out alot. Since I do not want to ship out $1500 I will probably have to play the hours. If all the days go like today then it will be pretty easy to hit the hours. If i want to try to get SNE again this year I will need to put these hours in anyway.
I played my first session at NL Full Ring playing the 40bb stack. These types of players have been annoying me during my fr sessions lately so I want to play a bit of it myself and see what works/what doesn't work. Plus its pretty easy to grind mindlessly playing 12/11 with a lowish 3bet percent to get in hands/hours. Not really sure how profitable this can be, I think there are a few slight winners that 40bb stack but I'm sure a majority are down at the tables. I even loaded up some 6m Cap tables and played that but wanted to pull out my hair after 30 mins of it so quit a 6m cap game winner. My next few sessions were at NL100 6m where I probably played about 4-10 tables during the session, not going over 10 for more then a few minutes. Not much of a surprise to anyone that this is an easier way to be profitable at the tables while taking a hit in the vpp/fpp department.
I was going to call it a night but decided to play a PLO session after rereading my main go to book for PLO when I feel like I'm playing like an idiot. I'm sure my biggest problem is that I play way to many fucking tables so like my NL sessions I decided to limit it to 8 tables max so I ended up playing 4-8 tables for about an hour and a half. Tried to focus on NOT reraising marginal AAxx hands OOP and in general not get all the money in on the flop in "coin flip" spots. Usually when I play I'm always trying to shovel as much money in as possible with any piece and typically end up getting my money in with 20-30% equity, losing a bunch of those, then wondering why I am under EV. Manages to get it all in 8 times out of 785 hands and was better then 56% on 6 of those hands. Not surprising that I ended up 8.5 buyins playing a little more controlled style.
I'm sure tomorrow I will play like a fucking moron and lose 20BI but today I will go to sleep happy, should be a fun next month. Got in 8.58 hours for Day 1
Biggest pot of the day

One of the best days of my life occurred a few days ago....Pokerstars accepted my stuff and let me back online!!
It sure has been an interesting past couple of months of traveling, live poker grind, meeting women on the live poker grind, living in Vegas, moving out of San Diego, getting across the border to Canada and then getting set up.
Lets start with April 15th 2011. I'm not a big day drinker, probably haven't even drank during the day the past few years. In honor of the glorious day, I went down to the bars on the beach in San Diego with another online guy and we decided to drink the sadness away starting at noon. I was passed out in bed (not alone) by 7 that night. Probably should have been doing things like this a little more often while I lived there I thought. The next day I decided I probably needed a plan to survive and still have money. Played some live poker at Oceans 11 and Palomar and decided that meh this sucks but I'll give it a shot.
Me and Ballcup decided to go down to Miami for the WPT event and play some cash games. We stayed in South Beach for the time we were out there and was an interesting place. Didn't really hear much english being spoke while down there but did happen to run into 6 random older black girls while walking the main strip in south beach.
Lets give a mini trip report! That picture was from the start of the night, after that they asked us if we wanted to go to King of Diamonds which is an all black strip club in Miami, one of the biggest. For some reason we decided this would be a good idea and we walked to there car and all got in. I was in the 2nd back seat in between 2 of the girls, there asses were fucking huge and this was not a very comfy ride. After a detour to the hospital to visit there friend who left dinner with some sickness lol we were off to the strip club. During the drive the girls were passing weed around and all pretty drunk at this point. We get to the strip club and walk up to the door, the security guys start laughing and ask me why the fuck I am wearing orange swim trunks and a blank tank top, everyone else was dressed in dresses/dress shirts there. The girls explain that we are from out of town and they kidnapped us to go there with them. Security walks me and Brad over to talk to 3 guys outside talking by some cars, I get to know them a bit better and find out one is the owner of the place and he gives me the go ahead and tells me to enjoy myself. We get in and realize the only 2 white people there is us 2 and were in swimsuits lol. We decide to get a table there and a few bottles and proceed to drink alot and get lap dances from some of the thickest black girls I have ever seen. At one point I went up to the stage and made it rain while the DJ stopped the music and made some DJ like comments you would expect him to make seeing something like this. Then I had a dance off in the parking lot with about 10 black girls (there is video of this but not sure if should post lol). After this we drove home, everyone drunker this time and somehow they dropped us off at our hotel at about 7 AM and we were alive!
After this night we decided to nit it up a bit life wise and stick to grinding some live poker at the Hard Rock. Games were good and I was still learning the adjustment to the beautiful game that is live poker. I went back to San Diego for a few days and decided the action in Florida was way better and booked another trip out there with my friend Tom and this time I ended up staying at the Hard Rock there for about a month. During the time I went to a few Heat playoff games, played a ton of live poker and met a girl/woman while playing 2/5. We ended up hanging out/playing a bunch of poker together while I was there. I think I was in love for a solid 3 days with her actually, like an OMG my dream girl type of love. She turned out to be a loose cannon though for a few reasons and by the time I left I felt a little different. I got back from Florida in early June and then it was time to go out to Vegas for WSOP!
I ended up getting a house out there with some stars full ring guys. Me, Ballcup, rivrmeadream, tomrh3 and an ftp guy DukeMuscle. The house was pretty shitty but it did have a pool at least. Was located about 2 miles west of the stratosphere off Sahara, didn't hear great things about the neighborhood but it wasn't bad while we were there and I never noticed anything or felt unsafe being there. While on the drive out there I noticed the Air Condition in my M3 wasn't working and then soon after something flew off a car and I ran over it damaging my driver side front end a bit, a good start to Vegas. I got there the night before my birthday and we ended up going to Cut (my fave place to eat in Vegas) and then for some reason we went out to Lavo after. Wasn't terrible but probably would never go there again if I had the choice. This is me at Cut for my bday dinner, wasn't in that good of a mood and was sportin the facial hair/long hair live poker combo
Really Vegas wasn't that fun or exciting this year as compared to last. Most of the time I spent thinking about getting out of the USA to play online poker again and complaining to friends about how terrible it was to grind live poker everyday. There really wasn't much else for me to do while I was out there so I pretty much ended up playing a ton of live everyday at either Aria, Venetian or Rio. I was going pretty busto while I was out there too so my mood wasn't that good and didn't really want to ever go out. I did hang out with a girl/woman I met playing 2/5 a bunch and it was fun, actually ended up hanging out with her alot back home in San Diego before I moved too, sadly I have never met any women 24 tabling online so I guess that is one advantage live poker has. I would give some sort of rant about the pros and cons of live poker but I am pretty sure everyone has had a take/opinion on this since black friday and everything has pretty much been said about the subject. Some like it, some love it, most online guys hate it.
I got back to San Diego in the middle of July and decided to get really serious about finding a place in Vancouver. Most of the places downtown here that were 2 bedrooms didnt have a ton of space so we decided we would have to up our price range a bit to get someplace that was super nice, furnished, good location, and had enough room for 2 grind areas. I found a nice place on craigslist and instead of doing the email process I had tried for a few places before, I would actually make a phone call and use the gift of speaking which I possess to see if I could have better results. By the end of the phone call the places was ours We sent in our first months rent for the place and then I proceeded to sell most of my stuff and pack up my car to embark on the journey up to Canada. I stopped in San Fran to meet BallCup and we were underway. We kept reading all these things on 2p2 about issues crossing the border and what to say and all that stuff but in reality it was alot of worrying for nothing. We crossed at about 3am and were the only 2 people in the border office. They asked questions about poker, how long we were there, and pretty standard questions. Made us sweat for about 30 mins and then we were in and driving up to our place. We stopped over at my friend Hodge05's place here while we waited for morning and to meet our landlord. While we were waiting outside of our new place for the landlord to show up I actually met a girl/woman (i say girl/woman because there a little older and not really a girl). I was awake for over 24 hrs at this point and delirious, I said something about is she the babysitter or the mother of the 2 kids she was walking and a week later we have hung out everyday pretty much.
We live in a sick location downtown as far as getting something to eat/going out goes. There is every type of food place 5-10 min walk away and if your like me and love the fast food, there is a mcds, burger king, and subway open 24 hours within a 7 min walk. The women here are pretty good looking too after being here for a few days, at first I wasn't too into them but it turns out downtown here is pretty much like a downtown in any big city as far as the feel/people go. We went to a 2p2 dinner meetup last weekend that was pretty cool. I knew 2 of the guys, Ricky and The Main previously and met up with some other guys that are living out here now/have lived here. I got some very nice expediated service from Pokerstars and was back up in about 1 business day after I sent in all my documents. Opening a bank account here was super easy as well and took about 10-15 mins.
Here are the pics of our place we are living in, its on the 32nd floor. Brad got the master bedroom which has the attached nicer bathroom and more closet space while I got the 2nd bedroom with the views/office attatched but separate bathroom. I would say both rooms have the good things about them

Thanks for reading the blog, I am back on the SNE pursuit here!
I've been trying this April to avoid having losing sessions! (good plan right) So far it has gone pretty well as you can see from the screenshot below, but when I do decide to have a losing session, I need to make sure it isn't all my monthly profits
Played about 4k hands each of 2/4 and 1/2 PLO so far this month winning at both. I'm really going to start trying to climb out of my 100plo and 200plo hole on PTR that I am currently in. Have been doing well at 100plo so far this month so hopefully I can accomplish that by the end of this month. I'm down about 100 buyins at 200plo though so that one will be more challenging. I really want to start a new diet this month that I will post in the next few days and try to get some feedback from all you diet/workout pros on liquid for ways to make it best. I'm aiming for 200k hands or 20k profits from the table this month so hopefully can combine that with a new diet for a good all around month.
Heres my biggest losing hand so far this month at 1/2. I think I like leading the flop with pair+gutter+bfd, I don't really think I can ever fold on this flop

So after some very smart bankroll decisions the past few months I realized that I am near busto online. Smart bankroll decisions=losing 20BI in a session randomly, shot taking at a higher then my "regular" stakes and playing like a fucking idiot and losing more then I said I would, etc... Basic problems that have plagued me for most of my online poker career but never really had a near busto effect on me because I could always machine it up and grind it back up. This month it actually got to a point where I was a little worried if I still had it in me to be able to go through the moving down process and grinding it out there.
I was 4-6 tabling for a week or two and super game selecting at nl100 and made about 35BI in 6k hands which is pretty amazing results but wasn't being disciplined enough to stick with it and would throw some random PLO sessions in there and win a few BIs most sessions and then go off the deep end for a -25BI session. I have not been running to well but at the same time I certainly wasn't playing well either. A few days ago I was looking at the fact that I basically NEEDED to make a certain amount of money for the rest of the month or I would either need to re-evaluate my current living situation or get a stake.
I have compiled a pretty sick ptr buddy list of small stakes nl100 fish and plo25-400 fish and decided to hunt then when they are playing and not play PLO like a fucking idiot and fold more hands OOP (which was my BIGGEST leak by far x10000).
There is also a WSOP circuit event in town at Harrahs Rincon and another SNE grinder Hodge05 was in town so we decided to go up there and meet some other guys he is talking to about getting a place together out here. There was a few cash tables running and I decided to play some 1/3 for a little while. Was talking to an asian girl at my table for awhile about SNE that turned out to be Kristy Arnett who does all the poker news reporting stuff. Only took me a few hours to figure this out lol. There is one seat open to my right and new player walks into the room, only 4 tables running right now, and gets the seat
Obviously its the CHAMP himself Jerry Yang coming to get light 3bet by me lol. Played for a few hours with him and following my rule of "if i'm ever playing with a wsop main event champ I must make him laugh" I proceeded to talk to him a bunch and threaten his stack by telling him I can't wait to stack the champ! He was a really really nice guy though, super friendly. Played pretty well too and did really well. Iso'd him a few hands and obv lost all of them but only played one pretty big hand towards end of night.
2/5 1k effective I raise 89dd UTG and Sharon (60s woman I had been flirting with the whole night who got hot and bothered when I took off my hoody and told me if I wanted her I could have her lol) flats on BTN and Champ flats BB. Flop 10 6 2 with a backdoor flush draw for me so I cbet 40 into 60 and Champ c/c. Turn 7 (bink) and I talk a little to the champ who is in fatdan mode and bet 100 and he calls pretty quick. River is Q and he checks and I laugh hysterically because I am very excited and bet 300. Champ tanks forever and I keep talking to him and he keeps laughing. I say the champ doesn't want anyone to bluff him ever, and if he calls I will be able to afford to marry his daughter (he told me earlier in the night that if I wanted to ever marry his daughter, in his culture I would have to pay him lol wtf). Eventually he called and I was
Fun live session, I saw the older woman a little closer when I was about to leave and if she was about fiddy pounds less things might have gotten serious. Ended up 1200usd on the session, rounding out a good past few days. I'm not really sure what my poker plan is going forward but going to just keep putting in the hours/hands and hopefully keep winning.
NAPT LA BOUNTY SHOOTOUT
I posted in a previous blog about how I was playing the formerly NAPT bounty shootout in LA. ESPN recoreded it, 10,3k Buy-in 2k for each bounty and 40k for winning the table. 81 people played it total and I sold about 85 percent of my action for it. I got to the casino pretty early and chatted with some of the company that produces/records it and got my picture taken for the bounty chip that you give out to people. SNE grinder George Lind was to my right, John Hennigan was to my left and Dennis Phillips was a few to my right, I ended up chatting with him for most time I was alive and he was a pretty awesome and super nice guy. I was actually playing really well to start but in typical Joe Ingram fucking idiot fashion I donked off a bunch of chips to Hennigan with 22 preflop vs his QQ.
I flatted the opening raise hoping someone would sqz and i could jam. Once the guy who was super short went all in and then the sb foreign doctor thought for few seconds and went all in I figured there was a good chance he wanted to go for the bounty and could have had a hand like 99-jj ajss-ak and then george thought for awhile and finally sighed and called with aqo. At this point I guess I could fold QQ and still have 30-40bbs left but I was kinda on tilt from losing half my stack/wanted the bounty/had a pair.
I will get my 10-30 seconds on ESPN and At least I took this pic with Dennis before I busted out lol
REST OF 2011
The rest of 2011 has gone pretty up and down for me so far. After went on 70k downer in December, I just laid in bed for the start of the year pretty angry at myself for losing that much fucking money. Eventually I got out of bed and started to play some poker but was playing to high of stakes for how I was feeling at that time and didn't pretty meh. I've been in a pretty psychotic relationship for most of this year which I finally ended a few weeks ago and was keeping me super stressed out for most of the year. My poker results at the table have been about breakeven so far because I have just not been playing my A game very often or putting in enough volume. I'm hoping now that I am getting refreshed mentally from all of that, my poker results will continue to be good.
To leave you my blog readers, here is my graph from December when I finally achieved SNE
They added me to the featured blog lists on here too so hopefully this will encourage me to actually blog more. I should probably write up some Trip Reports of recent dates I have been on as well. Has been interesting to say the least lol
