Shoot me.

Or her.

I dont care.

I think this is the first time in a long, long time I made a comment like 'Soooooooo bad' after a hand. She actually apoligized later, and turns out she usually plays 2cent/5cent ; [

I think, mostly, I played much better today than several other days where I won money, I just kept on losing 80/20 situations again and again Oh well.

Day 10 - Funny hand
  TianYuan, Dec 10 2007

25,074 VPPs collected this month
18,777 VPPs to go

I took a pause this session to eat (well, I'm not sure you can call sitting out for 5 minutes while you bring dinner a pause) and I really have to make sure I do this everytime I play, cause I just tilt way too easily if I don't.

Nothing special overall but had a funny hand come up..

I play pretty good
OOKOKOK I KNOW IS UC

Ez HOTW IMO.
Even though I played like a monkey 8D If I thought there was any chance of him bluffing I should probably shove turn, although I guess he generally gives up bluffs on rivers after betting that amount on the turn.. Hm.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/333448 - Is this the LP-Adam? I wanted to just call flop here because the guy behind me was a big station/bluffmonkey, so I thought an overcall or a raise was possible.

Day 9 - Played verrrrrrrry bad
  TianYuan, Dec 09 2007

22,351 VPPs collected
21,500 VPPs to go

I really felt like I played horribly today. I'd be up a little bit if I hadn't wasted a couple of buyins at the end.

Well, I mean, it wasn't completely stupid, it was just kinda uneccessary. QQ vs KK AI pf after I 4bet cold (monkey raises, reg 3bets), and KK vs a flushdraw that minraised me on the flop and got there on the turn, where I c/r AI with the king of the suite - which makes no sense cause I thought he had either a flushdraw or some kind of 2p/set, which of course means I can't continue on the turn. Oh well.

Not really a crushing blow but hopefully I won't play as badly tomorrow.

Day 8 - lukewarm
  TianYuan, Dec 08 2007

19,538 VPPs collected
24,313 VPPs to go

Had no idea I was up that much early on, but had another of those AA vs KK vs KK hands so I guess that explains it. Very very carddead for the middle stages, and started getting a headache/felt hungry/a little tilty towards the end.

Should probably bring some kind of snack/fruit/energydrink (lol) with me before sessioning

Didn't feel like I played great so I guess I'm happy to still be up almost 3 buyins. Need to fold BB less, need to steal BB more.

Annoying hand:
3rd hand at table, he does the classic 'timebank..... SHOVE'. I soooo wanted to fold. Given that he's 12/8 I'm not sure betting this flop is the best move, probably check behind and go for value turn river.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/331867

I'm gonna get berated for this hand but...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/331735
I actually tanked the river ;P A million to one with a set but thought he had JT
Oh well, I'm glad I ended up calling!

Day 7 - biggest day ever & weekly graph
  TianYuan, Dec 07 2007

4,997 hands
16,929 VPPs collected this month, 26,922 to go
Ok, so ever since I started this challenge I decided to never check my cashier or PT while playing, just so I could play without focusing on wether I'm up or down. I've managed to do this for 7 days now, and was completely in shock when I opened my cashier after todays session - I was up like 3k! I thought I'd be up around 1k~ perhaps, this was better than expected

And a weekly graph:

Maybe some hands later, I ran pretty well about halfway through todays session (ORLY?), after starting out not flopping anything for 2.5k hands, I was suddenly flopping boats left and right.

One poor guy ended up losing with AJ to quads (he 3bet me 3 handed, I flop set on a super dry flop and call in position, check check ten turn cause I think he has nothing, or at least the ten is a little scary, he instasnapshoves A on the river), top 2 in BvB vs my bottom set (he raised me on the flop with top pair and then turned his 2 pair), as well as KK vs AA for a bit over a buyin.

Spotted a table with a complete ATM and fortunately got a seat before he left.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/331068
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/331078
Pretty funny table, 5 regs and him

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/330986 - AA vs AK vs KK for a pretty decent sized pot (I'm obviously a total luckbox).

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/330943 - I was considering just mucking this flop, but meh I stupidly raised after thinking for a bit. The guy behind me snapshoves, which the only other time I've seen him do, he had a straight (almost the exact same board too). He's a fish but I was 99% certain he never has anything but the nuts here (meaning I'm drawing to a running boat or maybe if I'm lucky, to a queen).

Now I'm gonna watch the new CTS vid.

EDIT: Checked my pokerev and I'm definitely running a little hot, not a super big difference but a few buyins.

Then again, I didn't really need pokerev to tell me that I ran well today haha

Day 6 - good day
  TianYuan, Dec 06 2007

14,213 VPPs collected this month
29,638 VPPs to go.

There's about 500 hands missing but the amount won/lost is pretty darn close to correct. One of my biggest days actually (I've never played more than 4 tables of 1/2 before, and I usually never played long sessions 4 tabling, so I think my previous biggest win was like 1200 or maybe 1300).

I played extremely tight honestly, I don't mean I was a complete nit, but well below what I usually play. I think I fixed some things i did incorrectly yesterday, and while I probably played a little less than the optimal amount of hands, the results were quite good.

It also helps that I ran pretty good in QQ vs AK situations

Day 5 - just one of those days
  TianYuan, Dec 05 2007

11,685 vpps collected this month
32,166 to go

I honestly didn't play well, but I ran like complete garbage -_-
Got way too passive and had a shitty image pretty much everywhere. 2 barrels never worked, everyone folded when I had something, if I had jacks, he had queens, if I had 2pair, the board would pair and counterfeit it etccccccccccccccccc.

Bleh.

I think top set cost me about 3 or 4 buyins today.

It's 2 am but I'm gonna go for a run -.-

EDIT: I had a hilarious W$WSF of 34.7% and an AF of 2.7.. It's kinda hard to win pots when you miss every single board and get called every single time tho.

EDIT2:
I guess the won without showdown number isn't that great, but at least I can say I'm running bad in all-in situations

One thing I've been having trouble with is playing hands like 88-99, or KJ/KQ whatever, since people don't give up nearly as often as they do at .5/1 It's harder to play those hands when 9 tabling 1/2 than .5/1 for sure.

Like I have 99 on a 776 flop, I don't know if I want to raise his cbet, but I also don't know if I want to check call check call etc, meh. Probably just good to c/r them a bunch, protect likely best hand and make my check/raises less 'nuts, air or draw'.

There was also a hand I really really misplayed, JJ UTG, 3 callers, including two GIGANTIC donks (like '3rd worst pair in a 3bet pot to a raise on the flop, I probably should call down').. One of the donks (the biggest donk) leads a 789 flop super weak (he does this with any pair) so I call cause eh, raising with 3 others in the pot is kinda bad.

Second donk calls as well, turn is rag. He makes another retard bet. River is a ten and I obv have essentially the nuts, anyway, he bets bigger and I figure he probably has nothing so I just call trying to get an overcall.. Which in hindsight, I realize was completely retarded. I managed to forget there was a lower end straight too, lost soooooooo sick much value, since he'd probably have called a raise at least. Dunno if he'd stacked off (150bb deep).

I shouldn't complain tho, this is my total month so far, I ran pretty good at NL100, a couple of buyins above expectation there. Still would hav been more fun to run good at 1/2

I'm sure I'm losing way more than I should in non-showdown hands tho, need to work on that..

Day 4 - NL200
  TianYuan, Dec 04 2007

5k hands of 1/2
35k VPPs to go before supernova (8.8k cleared so far this month in 20k hands).

Some NL200. Biggest difference seems to be more aggressive regs, and way less super soft tables. I don't mean that the tables are super hard or anything (millions of idiots), but it takes quite a bit more searching to find tables that look good (ie lots of guys with 70~80bb, since most regs tend to top-off pretty fast if they drop below 100bb).

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328732 - Valuebetting (lol)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328599 - Didn't want to 3bet cause the initial opener is pretty loose so I'll get into a weird spot and he'd probably pay off fairly well if I flopped well. ZekGB is pretty fond of squeezing too so this worked out nicely, nice to win a flip with all that dead money

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328594 - Gross turn but what can you do -_-?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328549 - Bleh, on the flop I was sure he had a really bad hand. Probably standard turn check/behind tho.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328593 - Aghagbafsfs
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328559 - URghsag - betsizing could have been better tho.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328550 - Fgjgghfggggggggggggggggggggggg, I guess this is why my note on him said 'retard'.
Or maybe I made that note after this hand, I don't really remember.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328800 - Boooooooooh. Snapshove to rep AK and 2+2 guy calls after tanking for a while (I assume he's 2p2 since he has the 2+2 deity, Omgclayaiken/Jman, as his avatar). Flop was =[

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328803 - luckbox obviously.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328804 - Yeah, I'm sure your hand is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaal big.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328805 - Uh, wasn't expecting that.

Day 3
  TianYuan, Dec 03 2007

5071 hands played
A bit over 2k VPPs cleared
37.6k VPPs to go

Ran a bit worse today than the previous days (lol run bad at 4.7ptbb/100.. right), but also felt like I played a bit worse. Although this could of course be explained by the tables being a little less good (they were ridiculously donktastic this weekend), and just playing some people who weren't too fond of folding.

My W$WSF was ridiculously low tho so I probably did something wrong. Maybe didn't 2 barrel enough or steal checked pots enough.

Not a lot of interesting hands.. But I did have to fold KK pre-flop once (that makes it about 2 or 3 folds in like 7~800 000 hands).
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/328037

Up just over 2k for the month, still undecided if I'll do 1/2 or just .5/1 until I'm supernova and then jump into the crypto 2/5 games.

EDIT: Wee, 2.8~k finally arrived in neteller. Now there's only 4k left on rednines, which I have to wait until I hear back from support before I can move.

Quest for Supernova - 43~k vpps in 1 month
  TianYuan, Dec 02 2007

So, I've decided: I need to get supernova before the month is over. That means playing about 5k hands a day (ok so technically I don't have to, I can get away with a bit less, but there'll probably be days - ie christmas - when I don't feel like playing, so 5k sounds good), which when 9 tabling translates to about 6 hours of poker a day.

Cleared 4k FPPs.

Playing NL100 until I get all my money from rednines onto stars (although I'm kinda rolled for 1/2 again on stars, despite cashing out 2k ).

How different is 1/2 on stars from .5/1 btw? I kinda need to 9 table at least to do this, and 9 tabling .5/1 on stars is pretty easy (it feels so relaxing compared to getting 3bet every hand when playing 1/2 on prima).
