I hate Big Slick
  100Large, Feb 19 2008

Im usually cool with folding KK, but i thought i had him. I think i should have raised the flop rather then checking and followed up with an over the top bet on the turn.

This is where it all starts.
  100Large, Feb 19 2008

So i've decided i want to fool around with poker and see how far i can take it, and if i can take it far enough to use it as a source of income worldwide, no matter where i am. I've always thought of my self as an above average player and i love to gamble.

I was introduced to poker in the summer of 2005 by my friends much older room mate, he was also the first person to bring me to a "poker house" for a $60 dollar 2 table SNG (this was all new for me, i felt very intimidated everyone was at least 27+ , i was only 18) i was short stack in the final table, went All in with Ace-rag,lost.

Every since then i've been playing friendly home games with friends, some of them played online and introduced me to that. I deposited 50 and lost it all in two days playing .25/.50 way out of my range game wise and bankroll. After that i final tabled a 2500 man Free roll for 9th place ($100) but i lost it all again in .25/.50, i thought it was rigged and quit lol decided to continue with the home games.

Recently i met a long time friend of mine from Starcraft Brood War in real life, turns out he plays online for a living and is making roughly 100k a year. (WOW!)I was also aware a lot of ex-starcraft players had turned to poker and where killing it. Elky, Nazgul, Rekrul. Could there be some sort of similarity between Starcraft and Poker? (i heard about this site from teamliquid.net)

So my Starcraft friend [CF]Canibus , backed me for 50 bucks for the start of my poker career. Went up to 70 after some solid play, but foolishly decided to play drunk coming home from the club (learned i should only play poker sober now, no weed or alcohol) now i'm sitting on 63.

Last night i final tabled a 360 man $2 dollar tourney (what is this telling me ? I've only played about 4 tourney's in my poker career and final tabled two of them, this is making me want to pursue MTT play over Ring)I have to thank Scott Fischman and his book "ONLINE ACE" which I has given me a general strategy of how to play in each of the stages of MTT's and SNG's.

Heres how i lost at the final table.
