If only...
RAHZero, Feb 09 2007
I didn't run ridiculously cold, I'd be crushing these games. Lost a full stack with 44 on a Q43r flop against AQ which hit runner runner boat, and lost a 300+ BB pot with KQ on a JT9r flop against T9 and JT, 3 way all-in on the flop, obv 9 on the turn. Also lost a buy-in at the beginning of the session with KK vs. AA, and half a stack with AQ on a QQx flop against QT which rivered a ten after we were all-in. Finished up $59.90 in 1731 hands, should have been way more. $200 more to go before I move back to NL 100.
Another good day (despite UB)
RAHZero, Feb 07 2007
Just finished another solid day of grinding. That said, it could have potentially been a monster day, if I hadn't lost two big pots preflop: the first with JJ against a tilter's AKo (this guy was on mad tilt) when he hit an ace, the second with KK against TT that hit his T. Big pots I won were two with sets: 44 against AJs on a J74 flop, 77 vs. AKo on an A73 flop. Took down a HUGE pot with QQ against J6o and 65s on a JJxxQ board. Played that one really well, only put in one bet when behind, almost everything went in on the river (65s rivered a flush). Overall, I think I'm playing very well over the last few days, maybe even better than my WR over them (which is a not-too-shabby 7.5 PTBB/100). After today, I'm $260 away from my goal for moving back to NL 100. I also should easily surpass 2,000 UB points for the week, which means a $150 bonus.
Results: +$114.95 in 1540 hands.

Things are looking up...
RAHZero, Feb 06 2007
Well, today was the first really good day in a while. Overall, I'm really satisfied with my play today. The stats weren't tremendous (+$107.35 in 1393 hands), but given some of the coolers, etc. that I was dealt, I think I played about as well as I could have today. I made a nice 3-bet and steal with KQ from the SB facing a button raise (pretty sure he folded JJ or so on the flop to me given his chat), and played much more aggressively than I have in the past. My stats have been getting nittish lately, but today they were a very healthy 19/14/3.
The ugly:
AKs vs. 88 on an AK8 flop. We know how that ends, put me in the hole early. Luckily he was short-stacked, so I didn't lose a full buy-in.
KK vs. 77 on a Q72 flop. Guy played it way weirdly, check-calling the flop and turn with the flush draw out there and then donking into me on the river. Really thought he had a busted draw there, good thing I flat called instead of raising.
Trying to double barrel a shortstack with QTs that completely missed. Bad idea in retrospect, but didn't cost me too much.
K2 vs. T2 on a 5422T board in a blind vs. blind battle. Luckily I didn't lose too much here, the flop was checked thorugh, I bet the pot ($1) on the turn and then called a smallish river checkraise.
The good:
KK vs. Qh3h on a Th7h2xQx board. I had gone on a monster rush at this table, and kept raising and three betting the huge fish on my right. Finally busted him with this hand.
33 vs. AQ on a A837Q board, against the afformentioned donk. I raised PF and bet all three streets for value. I'll be damned if I know how I didn't stack him here, he was putting way too much money into the pot with marginal hands and then check-called the river here with top two pair with no straight or flush possible.
66 vs. a shorty's 77 on a multiway 96x flop.
Lots of other medium sized pots. I built my way back from -$75ish to the green without winning any huge pots, and the KK hand was my only full stackage of the night. Overall a good night, and hopefully a session then can help me rebound from the rough downswing I've been on lately. According to the plan, $375 left to go before I try and move back up to NL 100.
Dear UB...

Dear UB,
Please turn off the doom switch. Seriously.
Sincerely,
RAHZero
God, every time things start to look up I get raped by the riggedaments at UB. Won a huge pot with JJ vs. AK and 33 on a KJ3 flop to get back near even for the session, and not 2 minutes later I get KK vs. AA. Earlier I was up and then lost KK AIPF against AJo. Somehow I managed to still finish up $20 for the session. Graph below:
Oh yeah, and I missed two huge combo draws again. 9c8c on a Jx6c5c flop and Ad4d on a 7x5d2d flop. Will try making a video tonight, didn't work last night (got no audio).
Moving back down...
RAHZero, Feb 05 2007
Last night was another horrible session at NL 100, my worst so far. Started off great when some guy called my $5 raise PF with 32o (I had AQ), then donked into me on a Q62 flop. He proceeded to call my raise to $45 (three-way pot, he led for $15, I raised to $45), and spiked a 3 on the turn. Down 1-buy-in early. It just went downhill from there. I didn't stack anyone all session, and spewed quite a bit towards the end and finished down 6 buy-ins.
After this terrible start to February, I'm moving back down to NL 50 for a little. I'm going to try to make a video tonight and see if some others can help me find leaks in my game. The plan is to play NL 50 until I've made 10 buy-ins ($500), then move back up. If I fail at NL 100 again, then I'll probably switch over to limit or tourneys for a bit. I really think that I'm capable of beating the NL 100 games I've been playing lately, but I can't seem to catch a break. Hopefully moving down will allow me to build back up some confidence in my game.
Meh, at least NL 50 is easy.
RAHZero, Feb 03 2007
Played about 850 hands at NL 50 this afternoon and finished up about $45 despite some guy cold-calling a raise and my 3-bet with 77 and flopping quads. Probably going to try and get in a session of NL 100 later on tonight.
GREAT start to February...
RAHZero, Feb 03 2007
Man, February is off to an awesome start!
Great hands so far:
KK raises from the button, gets three-bet, gets all-in against T9s on a Q86r flop! Sweet! Oh wait, the turn's a 7.
88 flops a set on an 842 flop AND gets raised. Awesome! Oh wait, he turns a flush.
50/10/5 shoves a QJ9 flop when I'm holding AA. Nice! Oh wait, this time he actually has a hand (QQ).
JTs flops a combo draw with middle pair + FD + gutshot. Oh wait, I forgot, I don't ever hit combo draws.
QQ 3-bets PF and get's called by KTo, which of course flops a king.
Some guy bluffs at me on the turn and I decide to call down with ace-high. Oh wait, he rivers a pair of sixes with 86o.
Down 4 buy-ins on the day yesterday, another on Thursday = 5 buy-in downswing to start the month.
Hello February!
RAHZero, Feb 01 2007
The end of January kind of sucked, I dropped about $230 on Tuesday night at NL 100 thanks to ridiculous suckouts like AA < 42s (which raised PF and called a reraise) all-in on a K86 flop, where he flopped a flush draw and hit runner runner straight. The same guy also hit a 3 outer on the river against me earlier, when AQ < AK on an AQ92 board, K on the river. Total stats for January were pretty meh, $464.00 profit over 19,807 hands. Also made $332.50 in tourneys though and another $350ish and bonuses and rakeback. I definitely feel like I'm a solid winner at NL 100 though after playing there a decent bit, so my Feb. goal is 30k hands there. I want to move over to Full Tilt or maybe even Stars for a little bit, but it looks like getting cash out of UB is going to take forever at the moment.
Nice day, but I still hate you UB
RAHZero, Jan 29 2007
Decided to mix it up and play a little NL 50 today to shoot a video. Well that didn't go well, because I got flush over flushed twice (one was flopped flush over flopped flush in a blind battle, WTF thanks UB), and ended up yelling profanities. Took a break, watched 24 (another sick episode, next week is going to be insane), then came back to play NL 100.
Well that went much better than NL 50. I flopped a set with 55 on a K95 board, all clubs, and led into the PF raiser, who flat called. The turn was the ten of clubs, I checked, he checked behind. River was the beautiful ten of diamonds, I bet the pot, he pushed, I called, AcKx no good, up half a stack early. I won a couple small pots, raised QQ in a blind battle, got raised on the ten high flop, called, shoved over his turn bet and took it down for +$50ish, then won about $70 with QQ on a J22 flop vs. KJ. I proceeded to take a donk to value-town with QQ, he called my reraise with 99 and proceeded to call me down on the 6-high flop with 99, won a full stack there. The last huge hand was with AA. A tight-passive limped to me in the BB, I raised to $5. Flop came KQQ, I led for $8, he called. Turn was a sweet Ace, I checked, he bet $15, I called. River was an 8, I checked, he bet $25, I raised all-in, he called. 88 no good, LOL!
Totals for the day:
NL 50: 628 hands, -$107.85
NL 100: 699 hands, +$271.15
Profit: $163.30
FU UB...
RAHZero, Jan 28 2007
Saturday night I didn't play any poker (or get drunk, but that's another long, frustrating story).
Tonight should have been another huge day at NL 100, except UB is frigging rigged against me. KK < AKs all-in preflop, and not more than 5 minutes later, AA < KK at the same table. Final totals were -$70 over slightly more than 1000 hands. Overall, a very frustrating night, especially since I should have been way up.
