F*CK YEAH WIN
GoTuNk, Jun 16 2010

I'm so happy Chile won its first game.. could have been more goals, some misplays but w/e we won and got 3 points against a turtling team. Not winning would have been really bad, specially with Switzerland beating Spain.
My brother wasn't at his apartment so we put a friend's TV there and did drinks + barbaque at 7:00 AM lol. Happily everything went good. Repeating this monday, adding night celebration aswell hopefully.
Game Analysis:

It was inevitable that Chile dominated the ball trough the whole game, as it happened. Worst case scenario was Chile failing to score, and maybe losing to a counter atack (Spain lolz) while best case scenario was 4-0 ez game. Chile did win, however 1-0.
I think playmaking and strategy was awsome. Going foward, good passes, not random balls to the front. It made me proud to see Chile play like that in such a nit WC.
They did seem really nervous, specially at begining. During the game it seemed to fade away BUT it seems in the last 25 meters they did fuck up a lot of scoring situation due to panic.
In the defense, they did well considering they defended with few players, but Honduras strikers sucked. They pressured really hard, forbiddin Honduras to do elaborated plays; they were always forced to throw ball foward to strikers. They did rush a bit too much sometimes, more calm might have been better at certain situations. Vidal was really good with timings on getting the ball back at midfield.
On the offence it seems if they get their shit together they are gonna do really good stuff. Sanchez showed good he is, even though he miss goal a lot. He can still do a lot better.
Group Situation:
Switzerland's victory over Spain puts Chile in a tough spot. In 2nd round Spain is gonna beat Honduras and Switzerland can aim to tie against Chile, and later secure qualification against Honduras on 3rd round; losing to spain would have forced them to try to win vs Chile. Chile is forced to win vs Switzerland now, cause Spain on 3rd round will have only 3 points and go all in vs Chile; playing them with 3-4 points would be really risky. Even winning vs Switzerland, if Chile loses to Spain and Switzerland beats Honduras it would come to goal difference. With 6 points we put pressure on Switzerland to beat Honduras, and also to go for "score difference" advantage. On the brighter side, if Spain fails to beat Honduras they are fucked up no matter what unless Chile loses. Also, with Spain's today defeat, chilean chances to advance as first in group increases. TBH, I love the team and think they are awsome but dodging Brazil would be great. I trust Chile can take any other team heads up.
Post ur comments on today Chile's game =). Wanna see what foreigners think about our team.
Also props to Uruguay, they didn't choke like mexico to an obvious inferior team and secured a solid win (plus I bet money on both to win vs SA, so this puts me slightly on the positive)
DO NOT POST COMMENTS ABOUT URUGUAY OR MEXICO =) (unless u talk first and more about chile
)

WORLD CUP YES
GoTuNk, Jun 07 2010
This is the time every 4 years where everyone except from you hand-egg lovers rejoices in expectation of the football FIFA WORLD CUP.
For first time in 12 years Chile is back, and with a team that's actually capable of achieving something. I BELIEVE. Just watch the fking vid from Qualifications.
HERE IS CHILE.

Finishing 2nd with 33 points, just 1 point behind brazil and above Argentina and Uruguay in South American Qualifications to World Cup, there's only one word to describe Chile's football national team: BALLERS
Lead by Marcelo Bielsa, a team built from scratch, the shortest and youngest national team at this World Cup. With a line up of 3-3-1-3 nothing but complete domination of the field and the opponent is acceptable.
This group of young talents, with both heart and technique, suits itself with complete ball posession and scoring trough short deep passes, vicious attack from the wings and elaborated plays.
Without yet proven S-Class players, in this well conected team it just doesn't matter. Discipline, teamwork and hard pressure on opponent makes up for it.
By yet proven I mean Alexis "El niño maravilla" Sanchez will show the world how fast, skillfull and vicious he is. Udinese refused to sell him before WC, and with good reason.
I also want to mention Carlos Carmona, the most underrated defensive midfielder of the world. I'll pick him over Mascherano all day, but i'm obviously biased .
From a country with few World Cup Apereances, who nostalgicly remembers the 3rd place on 62 World Cup held in Chile, a breed of young new talents, steps ahead. No history, only future. No turtling, always going foward, no matter the opponent.
Spain, fire will be fought with fire. Be ready for it.

D is for Datamining
GoTuNk, Apr 28 2010
Hello Francisco,
Thank you for contacting PokerStars.
PokerTableRatings (also known as TableRatings) is a service that is based
upon datamining, and consequently, we prohibit it at all times.
This is discussed in passing on our page on prohibited services and
software, which you can read at:
http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/prohibited/
The relevant part says:
Q. In general, what kinds of tools and services are prohibited?
A. The following types of tools and services are prohibited:
... 2. Any program that works off of a central database of player results or
hands played is prohibited. ...
Datamining is not allowed because it does not approximate how face to face
poker works.
Poker is by nature and definition a game of incomplete information. A
significant part of the game is in acquiring information through the normal
course of gameplay, including information about player tendencies,
aggression, loose/tight style, how often they bluff and so forth.
Just as you could not "datamine" every table for hours on end at the
Bellagio due to physical limitations, we have a rule in place that
datamining is not permitted here even though a computer can easily do so.
PokerStars is aware that there are people who try to break our rules on
datamining, and consequently, I'm pleased to advise that we are in the
process of improving our software to stop this activity.
While, from an outsider's point of view, it may appear to be a simple
software tweak, there are a variety of internal systems that are intertwined
that need to be adjusted. Our hand histories are obviously a core component
of our services, and we need to be very careful that any changes that we
make do not have unintended consequences that hurt other players.
Despite the challenges, we are making very real progress on this project,
and I envisage that you will be pleased with the improvements in the near
future.
If you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us back
at any time.
Regards,
David C

I encourage u guys to do the same, PM support complaining about pokertable ratings =D
Btw nl25 seems really easy now, but watching some nl50 regs I met before makes me feel i'm with the losers =(. Anyways, gonna be overrolled for nl50 again when I hit 50k fpps and gonna be back to pwn some asses; i've worked on my game and it seems just some simple preflop adjustments gonna avoid me some gross spot on laters streets at nl50.

Cause u bothered sitting there reading this, u earned to watch her sitting:

Today I won the biggest pot in my life, which is obv good. I'm so happy i'm reposting this:

I also studied properly for my calculus test, and I think I did well; decided to put as much commitment into studies as I do in poker. I actually enjoyed math which I haven't in a while, hope to keep going.
I've slipped in my eating plan, I just haven't been able to restrain from bread/chocolate. Gonna not eat em for next week, this time i'll do it (lol); I usually slip when i'm not at home (i.e friends house, nightouts). However my snatch is getting better, I just love this lift.
Today I reviewed my game with my friend and he found a strong leak; my c/r from utg is 0. We discussed some stuff and there's certain spots which I should be c/r or c/c rather than bet/guessing which is really gross, specially vs fishes on coordinated boards; i'm also reading/watching the bunch of material zulu sent me; having him on aim is definetly EV+
I noticed that i'm enjoying poker more than ever; I used to push myself into grinding at nl25, but now I just love it. I always want to grind for at least an hour every day, which is kinda cool.
Finally congrats to F4Zi (even though I don't really know him) for sick first place on Sunday Warm Up, love watching fellow lpers do good =d
