Pokerstars Unban Me
  Gadget, Oct 26 2009

I'm hoping someone on this site will know the answer to this.

Like 3 years ago I was banned from pokerstars because I would send money to this kid at my school who would pay me like once a week however much he wanted. He allegedly multi-accounted and got banned and they suspected me of being one of his multi's. It is easy to see why they would feel this way, same city and everything.

Now I've been playing on fulltilt for around 2 years and I only play mtt's and sng's, so it is somewhat vital that I get unbanned or be able to play somehow on pokerstars.

If you guys dont feel that getting unbanned is a posibilty I'm open for suggestions be it legal or otherwise. Cashing out would not be a big problem because i could just transfer it to ftp with people. Someone please help!!!

Options I can think of at this point:
1. Try to get unbanned through emails and such.
2. Make a new account using different info. (I have a girlfriend whos name i could use, but will they be alerted by my ip and stuff?)
3. Use one of my friends accounts that doesnt play poker anymore.(basically like 5 years ago they all played on pokerstars for play money. Possibly same IP problem)
4. Great ideas from liquidpoker members.

I've probably payed around 10k in rake this year at FTP, Idk if that would make a difference to pstars or not, just thought I'd throw it in incase.

Anyone interested in staking
  Gadget, Oct 05 2009

So basically what I'm looking for is a recurring weekend stake for FTP tournaments. I know this isn't the best place to look but I have the best reputation on this site(or atleast the most posts). These are the tournaments I am interested in being staked in.

Friday Night Fight: $500 + $35
75K Guaranteed: $150 + $13
Sunday Brawl: $240 + $16
750K/1Million Guaranteed: $200 + $16
Sunday Mulligan: $200 + $16

This would make a total of $1386 weekly. Add a bit more when the 750K is 1Million.

Here's my OPR: http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/...7F18C0434BC8BA5CE56B945FE811.html?t=2

You can pm me or reply to this and we can discuss the details of the deal.

Early Exit FT - 100K Dreams
  Gadget, Jul 04 2009

I made 2 FT's today, one for a 90 player $26 sit n go and one in the 21k KO tourny. I won the sit n go and I was 8/9 going into the FT with about 16BB and a few hand in i picked up AJs in mid position. I went all in and was called by some guy who had half the chips in play with AK. Wish I coulda doubled up and made something happen. Yesterday went pretty well, two winning days in a row which is pretty tough for tourny players.

When I started playing 8 months ago my goal was to make 10K by the end of the year. I have already passed that mark, although I have dropped down a bit since my peak. I have decided that if I can make 100K by the time I graduate college, which is about 2 1/2 years away, I will take a shot at being a professional poker player. This would mean taking a year off after college and playing poker full time. I know it will be tough to achieve but I think it is very possible.

Yesterday Recap:

21K GTD KO ---------- 9/1313 ---------- +$396
50K GTD ---------- 274/376 ---------- (-$163)
20K GTD ---------- 283/511 ---------- (-$55)
$24 KO SNG ---------- 1/90 ---------- +$590
22.5K GTD ---------- 125/371 ---------- (-$75)
12.5K GTD KO ---------- 121/865 ---------- (-$26)
30K GTD ---------- 45/374 ---------- (-$109)

Total: +$558

Starting BR: $7199
Finishing BR: $7757

New and Improved
  Gadget, Jul 03 2009

From now on I'm going to try and update my blog everyday that i play. Since I play mtt's i only play about 5 days a week since it can be pretty draining to go deep in a tourny and get coolered or sucked out on near the end of it.

So heres my first update:

34K GTD----------------925/1406--------------$26
Satellite to 750k------35/36-----------------$15
19.5K GTD Rebuy--------259/366---------------$62
50K GTD----------------287/380---------------$163
21K GTD KO-------------1209/1288-------------$26
40K GTD----------------234/612---------------$75
12.5K GTD Rebuy--------7/282----------------+$334
35K GTD----------------28/1433--------------+$72
Daily Double A---------336/1158--------------$12
Daily Double B---------216/981---------------$12
The Fifty Fifty--------148/1109-------------+$23

Total +$38

Starting BR: $7191
Finishing BR: $7229

Looking for feedback on this blog format so tell me what you think.

Playing a small session as we speak because I'm probably gonna be playing Dota tonight. Ill update again tomorrow probably. Also looking for advice from good mtt players.

Stake/Site Transfer
  Gadget, Jun 19 2009

I was wondering if there would be any interest in people staking me for the Sunday Brawl and the 750k on FTP in the future. Not this coming weekend but pretty much every weekend after that i would like to sell 50% of myself for these 2 tournaments. Today they shut down opr.com for full tilt users but my roi was 140% in mtts with 8k profit and 13k in total prizes. You can check my sharkscope but for some reason its not quite as flattering. Im not sure why there is such a difference but on sharkscope I have 60% roi with 8k in profit. If there is any interest please pm me or reply.

Also, if anyone has any funds on a US pokersite other than pstars i am willing to trade FTP for it. Somewhere around 2k transfer.

Big Win / Favor
  Gadget, Jun 17 2009

My biggest cash to date. When starting this blog my original goal was to reach 10k from 0 in 1 calendar year by playing cash games and moving up the cash game pyramid. When I hit a rocky stretch I figured "there has to be a better way." So I switched to tournaments and have become a tourny regular. I wouldnt recommend the switch to everyone but it is definitely a better fit for me. Now I'm at the 10k mark in around 6 months of play. I'm going to adjust my goal to try and make it to 25k by years end.

Now for the favor. I've been playing exclusively on FTP for 6 months and I know that I need to get money on PS to really start taking advantage of the guaranteed tournies. On FTP there is usually only 3 worthwile tournies every 2 hours. So I was wondering if a trusted member of this site, probably a microstakes players would want to earn $20 to help me out for 20 minutes. I made a new account on PS and I want to see if they shutdown my account the second a real money transfer is made to the account.

I was banned because one of my irl friends multi-accounted and we sent money back and forth all the time so they shut mine down too. They needed me to send in ID and I was only 16 at the time so I didnt have any options. So if someone could help me out, I would want a $50 transfer on PS and I'll send $70 on FTP. Thanks.

Change of Pace
  Gadget, Apr 22 2009

So as stated in previous blog entries my goal was to reach a bankroll of 10k by the end of the year. I have had my ups and downs throughout this process with my main focus being on moving up the cash game ladder. I did this pretty rapidly and I would consider myself a nl50 reg and ive also put in about 20k hands at nl100. I started running bad at nl100 and my BR which was once at 3k is now at about 1.5k. I have decided to try to make the switch to becoming a tournament regular for a few reasons, tell me how many of you agree with them and think it wise or not.

reasons:
1. Cash games at nl100+ are very competitive and I feel my edge is small.
2. I feel that my buy in for a $10 tournament is worth about $50 and I do not feel that my nl100 could be sustained at anything over 1ptbb/100 at my current skill level.
3. In tournaments I am confident that I am the best player at the table and in cash games i dont always feel that way.
4. I believe there is more free money to be had in tournaments than there are in cash games at the moment.

I am not claiming any of these statements to be facts, please tell me which of these 4 reasons you guys disagree with and I will try to reevaluate them. I've been watching MTT videos for a while now and the style of play is just a lot more appealing to me than nl cash. I've been playing around 8 tournies a night, usually risking about $100 in total. Last night I had a small cash in one of the daily doubles, won 2 Fifty Fifty seats(played in the Fifty Fifty), and Final Tabled the $10 rebuy. This is my biggest tournament cash so far, I know its nothing much to most of you but it felt pretty good and confirmed a lot of my thoughts about making the switch. So i will probably update this blog more often with tourny results.

The first of many

I will also try getting some money on to Pokerstars in the near future to give me a larger selection of low-mid stakes tournies.

Prolonged Update
  Gadget, Apr 14 2009

A little recap before we begin. I started on February 15th with $0 on pokerstars and only 1000 play chips. I've moved up through the cash game levels pretty quickly with the help of a few final tables in MTT's and I am currently a nl50 regular with a BR of $1,500 on Full Tilt. I might be interested in moving some of this to pokerstars but that is going to be a problem.

Problem 1:
My account was banned on Pokerstars for having 2 accounts. I wasn't playing on both of them at the same time or anything. So I'm thinking I can just create a new account with a fake name and trade my money back to FTP when I want to cash out. Does this sound like a good idea or not? and how does Pokerstars check to see if someone is multi accounting. Do I need to make the account from a different computer? and will they notice if I play a lot from the IP address that my accounts were banned on.

My goal is still to reach $10,000 by the end of this year. I'm a lot better than pretty much any other player at nl50 on Full Tilt and I will be moving up when I reach $2,500.

Problem 2:
I want to buy HEM but I don't have a paypal account or anything. I was wondering if anyone would want to split it with me and I could send them money on FTP since the license works for 2 computers. PM me or reply if you are interested.

I watched a few more movies recently that I will give my opinions on.

If you liked Snatch you will like this movie. Colin Ferrell has a really good performance. He is hilarious and very believable in the role he plays, which is a pretty hard role to believe. Not too familiar with the other actor other than that he was in Gangs of New York. He had a decent performance as well. Without giving anything away, the movie is about 2 hitmen who travel to Bruges to flee from a job they completed prior to the start of the movie. They wait at a hotel from instructions from their boss. When the instructions arrive the movie really takes a twist and is wrapped up perfectly at the end.
8.5/10

When this movie beat out the Dark Knight(I know it wasnt nominated) for best picture I was kind of upset. Then I watched the movie and I understood why. From start to finish this movie was pretty much perfect. The music throughout the movie also added to the experience. The movie is about a poor Indian kid(I'd say he's about 20 years old), who gets on the show who wants to be a millionare. At the time the show is the most popular show in all of India. Its his chance to escape from the slums he grew up in and reunite with a girl he has loved since he was 5 years old.
10/10

Hope you like the reviews and opinions and if anyone wants to reply with their MSN or AIM sn we can talk about hands and try to improve each other.
