Note to LPers at Pokerstars
  TianYuan, Oct 11 2007

TianYuan on PS is 90% of the time not me. I play almost all my poker on prima nowadays.

Just thought I'd mention this since the few times I do logon to play (donk around at microstakes limit or no limit mostly) I tend to get messages from LP members.. So in case I'm not answering it's cause it's my mother playing =]

Also, I've been sick lazy this month, meant to play a lot but got about 0 motivation. Played like 9k hands, and half of those were in one long 13 hour 4 tabling session.

Bleh, maybe I need a break to get motivated again

MARATHON
  TianYuan, Oct 06 2007

13 hours of 4 tabling

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHIP IT, 17$!!!!!!!

If I haven't fallen asleep I'll post some hands I guess. Now lunch.

Or breakfast.

Or something.

Oh and note to self: DONT PLAY TURBO TABLES. Timed out sooooo many times trying to figure out what to do. Timed out with set once in 4 (or 3) way 3bet pot with action.. Sick life.

Although if I hadn't timed out, I'd been potentially stacked by the guy who hit his straight on the turn, for 1.5 buyins

Bleh, toooooooooo lazy!! Sucky ending to the month, but still decent given that I played very sporadically (mostly 4 tabling tho, so there's a few marathon sessions in there). Dunno what I've made in rakeback but over 1k I'm pretty sure (cashed last months in a little early, and played thousands of hands last days of august so got a bit left over from there too).

Goals for next month.. Hm, 90k hands would be nice, but 4 tabling that might be a little high. So, eh, 60k? I'd like to make enough to play 2/4 on prima, and ideally enough to split my roll in half and put half on party (cause you can keep your bankroll in euro instead of the weak dollar).

I heard you can get rakeback for party, anyone know how/where?

Think I should re-install/upgrade my computer cause it's been a while and I'm good at cluttering things up.. Been acting a bit slow lately, and if I'm gonna get back to playing more tables - especially with prima's heavy software - I think for the sake of me not tilting, it's best if it doesn't lag

Checking behind vs overaggro monkeys = <3

Well if he insists on giving me odds I guess I just have to call huh?

Once again, checking behind vs overaggro monkeys = $$$

Your donation is appreciated, sir -

I was playing laggier than usual in the first session so it's disappointing that I lost so much, but I honestly couldn't win a pot bigger than 1/3 of a buyin (in 1200 hands..). And that was a 3 street bluff.. 2nd biggest pot was like 1/3 of a buyin with AK or something.

I seem to fold my BB to steals too easily, should probably 3bet more or maybe even call.

I'll probably stick to 1/2 for a while now, the 1.5/3 games are usually pretty fucking soft but I'm too marginally rolled (well, definitely now, but I could cash in my rakeback and I'd be back at 25 buyins) so I think I'll just wait til 9k/I see a really, really big fish on one of the tables.

I'm a little bummed cause sitting with 1000$ stacks feels good, and it happens a lot more at 1.5/3

Been thinking a little about learning limit, but not sure what level to start out at (I have extremely limited experience with limit played some super low stakes, watched a few limit vids and read a little about it).

Fuck variance
  TianYuan, Sep 29 2007

BIGGEST POT WON:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/283635

Amount of times stacked: TWICE (flush vs boat, QQ vs AK allin preflop)

So that leaves a cool 900$ lost in 100$ chunks
Fun times.

Monster session
  TianYuan, Sep 23 2007

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

This is a pretty huge session given that I 4 table. A few hands were probably from yesterday night however.

I was on some sick tilt (although it never REALLY had time to show up in my play, as I fortunately won a few gigantic pots often enough to keep my mood up) due to this fish sitting at 3 of my tables and never evereverever folding to my cbets, always folding to my double value barrels and always calling my bluffs.

Then pokertracker crashed while I was trying to review his hands when he took some fishy strong line and I ended up timing out with QQ only to have him show 52suited for no pair gutshot draw - sick life. Was a hard spot since last time he took a similiar line he showed up with trips, only this time he was in position.

Fortunately he left, so my bankroll didn't die. He truly was destroying me so ego aside it was a good thing he left. Maybe he just ran lucky, maybe he just had me read perfectly, but I honestly didn't have a single read on him after several hours of play

Took some horrendous beats but there's just so many bad players here at NL300 that in the end I finished up pretty big. Some guy decided it was a good idea to stack off with JJ in a 4 bet pot on a king high board.

Allin on turn, K543 flop, the river brought a 2 which was mildly womit inducing until he turned over his JJ :D

Anyway, I'll post hands later maybe, played for like 8 or 9 hours with only short breaks.

Oh, had my biggest ever stack at 1600 :D Would have been insanely close to 2000 as I was allin with QQ vs 99 and JTo (lol), with the 99 being more or less fullstacked and JTo guy having 30bb.

Flop came AKXQX and JT ships it

First day at NL300
  TianYuan, Sep 22 2007

Ok so I decided to take a shot at 1.5/3 and played a quick session 2 tabling NL300 with 2 x 200NL tables as well (since there's not a lot of 300NL tables).

Made about 1.5 buyins. Took a break for a few hours and started another session.. Bleh, a loot of coolers (AA vs turned QQQ, AA vs rivered KKK, JJJ vs Q8 flopped set vs flopped straight in 3bet pot - lol, and so on).

I think I'm gonna make a thread for some of the hands tho..
EDIT: Fuck it, it's all REALLY standard stuff with just me getting raped by variance, aside from 1 bad fold and maybe a bad call.
Anyway: graph

Will either give it another 2 more buyins or just rebuild until I get to 7000$ again (just 2 buyins at 1/2 really).

I think I should betcall turn here, the guy is 15.7/10.8 with pretty low AF numbers, calls 3bets pretty lightly from what I've seen (ie with 46dd OOP when 100bb deep, played a strong combo draw fast by check minraising). With As maybe c/r (essentially a check call due to potsize), although probably still a betcall.

Here's a pretty ridiculous beat vs a pretty crazy player -
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/278170

Nice hand buddy, nice hand..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/278171

Hmmmmm, standard I think? But not completely sure.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/278173

Never been called this quickly, EVER >< I raise his bet on the flop like 99% of the time but I felt like the stack sizes would be awkard (meh) and I'd try to use my position. Man, I really think I'd play KQ or maybe even AQ like this a lot of the time.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/278174

Ok what the fuck?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/278175

Thought he had some kind of pair that couldn't stand much heat, unfortunately he's a retard.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/278176

Seems standard
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/278177

And a godawful fold that caused me to quit my session

Ship!
  TianYuan, Sep 21 2007

All the droolers left now so I'm gonna take a break and then come back later :D

Ran like 25/18 which felt really nice, since usually I go into too much auto-pilot and the numbers start to drop, guess short sessions are easier to keep it up in.

Was running 40/30 at two tables for a while without even noticing, but small sample so it means more or less nada.

If I can find some really good tables I'll give 300NL a spin later on today but most likely I'll just continue with 200NL for now.

I swing goot
  TianYuan, Sep 19 2007

Sitting to the right of a madman for like 4 hours and not getting any hands can be very.. verrrrrrrrrrry frustrating.

Fortunately, I got him a couple of times in the end.
Unfortunately I ran into KK vs AA vs a reg and donated back almost a buyin (it was less than a buyin cause we were 200bb deep and he played it pretty weakly, as did I).

Fortunately, I ran into KK vs AA AI PF again and the board came all diamonds, so we split the pot. Unfortunately, the flop was King high.

Madman then proceeded to go on tilt but managed to donate almost nothing to me

Longest session I've played this month I'm pretty sure (well, split in 2), at least by far the most hands as I 8 tabled for the first time in a month for about half of it.

I've noticed that I really need to find a way to remove the fold button from my software (even though I had an unusually, for me, high went to SD of 24.4 for todays session, it's pretty low given my 19/16 stats I think..). 3bet instead of call when button opens and I have something like TJs or KQ, I bleed too much money here cause I don't want to '3bet too much' (is there such a thing!?).

Also, I need to learn when and where to bluff raise cbets as I basically never do it (at least not when I go into auto-pilot) and I'm always annoyed by those who do.

So, float more, bluff raise cbets more (but make less hopeless river bluffs..), call less. Oh and cbet less, 6.9 flop AF is overkill.

Phew..
  TianYuan, Sep 17 2007

Started off HORRIBLY with KK vs some 60/20 maniac (he 5bet AJ preflop..) who limp called Q9 and flopped 2 pair.

Then I managed to somehow get it in with A high vs a 70/50 crazy person in a 3 bet pot with a gutshot vs his KT flopped nut straight (worst played hand ever by me, I must have been steaming).

I managed to calm down and spent 3 hours playing pretty well until I quit cause I was getting tired and the fish I was staying up for left after winning a semi-big pot.
