lol? Excellent point? Please elaborate on his point that we are the "biggest slaves on the planet". I want to hear how of all the nations on this planet, citizens of the USA have the least amount of freedoms.
bye now

hrmm how to slice this...
I think seeing how it is atm 3 Americans and a 'foreigner' outlook, I believe perhaps starting with definitions of English words used would prob be best
slave [sleyv] noun, verb, slaved, slav·ing.
noun
1. a person who is the property of and wholly subject to another; a bond servant.
2. a person entirely under the domination of some influence or person: a slave to a drug.
While there are theories (that I've personally not dived into completely yet) about the first definition being true even today (social security numbers etc), it's the second definition of slave that's actually becoming quite apparent and valid to more and more people in America daily. I was gonna restate "just go against the the flow of US national security interests" and show examples this time but hell let's just use another definition of a word used in this thread to prove points...
cit·i·zen [sit-uh-zuhn, -suhn]
noun
1. a native or naturalized member of a state or nation who owes allegiance to its government and is entitled to its protection ( distinguished from alien).
This definition of citizen that a "free" American man used is quite contrary to my definition of being free and really much closer in principle toward slave's 2nd definition than anything else. I wonder if the mockingly independent person realized exactly what he stated but regardless lets see about that last word that seems to be harped on...
biggest
[big] Origin
big big·ger, big·gest, adverb, noun, adjective
1. large, as in size, height, width, or amount: a big house; a big quantity.
2. of major concern, importance, gravity, or the like: a big problem.
3. outstanding for a specified quality: a big liar; a big success.
4. important, as in influence, standing, or wealth: a big man in his field.
if we could at least agree for the moment that all people in the nation states of the "free" world were slaves, then based on these definitions, the foreigner speaks much better english than the Americans do as he is quite correct
Yes the last one is a weaksauce technicality but I should state in closing that the principle of what carlos said is actually sound enough to hold. this is currently all just a bunch of semantics. I dislike arguing nothing but semantics so I guess I gotta ramble a bit..
The point of what I said in 'excellent point' comment was assumed because I was not detailed enough; so for the record, my excellent point comment was stating agreement much more towards how hilariously sad it is that Americans think they are distinguished by their freedom when we are not and then next was towards for our own good how I too hope Ron Paul gets elected.
I realized carlosdiaz not being American when he stated Americans being the biggest slaves in the world, obviously.
in his defense, when anyone actually goes astray from what they are being told by ppl or sources they have never met yet for some reason trust blindly, and instead take a real actual look at the growing opposing view of our occupations, they might realize just how much we as a nation turn a blind eye towards our foreign policy and allow our countries aggression... which means in the endgame, I'm sure they will definitely tend to start to agree with carlosdiaz's comment more times than not as sheep don't question.
But the mess here as I see it is that the only attempts of counter argument that are being made are closed-minded in ridicule and only take or accept what was said by carlos in an extreme sense while ignoring the gist of it. if such people were more lenient or open minded for dialogue or reciprocation, they might at least grasp the principle in what he said was sound and much closer to the mark of reality than they initially thought...
If you actually look towards the goal of the highest levels of administrations in each nation-state, they are striving towards a "free world".
this is of course all word play and a joke on both you and me (and the ones we oppress) but if you really think you are free and that the U.S. is striving in your best interest and for your benefit as our nation-state constantly moves closer towards that dominating "free world" then you are exactly what's laughed at

This is the only relevant statement in your entire diatribe. The reason why most American's pride themselves for their "presumed" freedom is because for most people there's nothing they cant do that they dont want to do. Even if we only have "convenient freedoms", idiotic statements like "America is the least free nation in the world" deserve a slap to the nuts. I'm sure if given the opportunity, carlosdiaz would choose to live in North Korea rather than the USA. Cuz ya'know, he could use his god given right to steal movies over p2p.
