Losing KK to AA isn't a mistake! This is an example of a cooler. An unavoidable situation. A mistake in this hand would be to fold KK at micros scared of AA. You'll win more than you lose with KK. Swings and roundabouts.

Welcome!
You remind me a lot of myself last year.. I started 24 tabling "kiwikaki style" asap and apm-wise this was no problem but the thing is... you don't really realize how bad you are when you start out. The TL-beginner guide is a great start but it's veeeery basic and you definitely need to study a ton more before you can beat NL10. Some pointers:
1. Win any decent $$$ at poker is 100x harder than 700pts on NA
2. Don't play more than 4 tables, and think through your decisions, playing many tables will really hurt your growth the first months
3. Get holdem manager
4. Study theory etc daily, you will learn plenty of new stuff every day, watch one pokervideo every day imo, deucescracked.com has a free trial with unlimited downloads for 1 week, really awesome.
Good luck! |

This is all good advice.
When I started playing I played 2-3 tables then up to 4-6 when I got confident and more later on if necessary..
The amount of people (young) I have ran into in cardrooms who do not understand how to play poker yet 16++ table as if playing more hands is going to make them more money.. None of them succeed. More think less hands as you start! ( I know you're not playing more than 4 but don't be in a rush to increase your tables, improve your play first). |

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets | |

@PoorUser Yeah that makes sense, Its probably helps in distancing yourself emotionally
@hording @hording, Thanks for all those great resources, Rekrul said on a blog on TL he really regrets not learning from other people early on so I'll try not to repeat his mistakes. But I do have to correct you for my ego... I didn't have 700 points, I was ranked 700th on the server. Which is still not very good, but my E-Penis wouldn't let it pass :D |
