Multiple display sound help??? |

ok so I have a multiple display setup a 24" hannspree monitor and a 42" toshiba tv, running on a Radeon HD6450 graphics card but i cannot get sound out of either of the monitors I am using a HDMI cord with sound capabilities running to the 42" and DVI to HDMI running to the 24"
any suggestions or am i gonna have to run and get a audio cord I have played witht he audio settings on the tv to change the audio output to PC but it doesnt work when both monitors are connected

What OS are you using? I havent had a computer with an addon sound card in awhile (probably how HDMI works today) but in the past you would have to basically set one of the sound output devices as the primary device. Your computer is still trying to output on the normal 3.5mm jack right now. It might even be an option in the ATI Catalyst control panel. Make sure you have that installed and see if you see anything in there to control that. |
