So my name is R3m3mb3rM3, a name you should remember.
(Im so famous everytime I log in I have to confirm I am RememberMe via checkbox)

Joke aside, as many of you I enjoy starcraft and strategy games in general, and when I heard someone got poker champion 2 years back to back I started doubting poker is just about luck.

I was always pretty good in games without much practice, which didn't keep me from practicing anyway. So now, smelling some money, I want to give poker a shot.

My plan: start with 10$ play till nothing is left or earn 1000$.
The last 5 days I started to read a lot, watch a lot and play a lot of/about poker. My first tables went horrible so I started sit & go's with a lot success. I was down to 1,50$ (close one ^^), now I'm back to 25$ and I feel a lot more confident and strategic.

As motivated I am at the moment, I doubt I will pay for Tracking software, even if it would be useful, I don't want to commit too much until I convinced myself I can make money.

So I hope you will hear from me soon and I hope you'll

Well first of all I learned to not call all-ins in positions I don't really need to, even though I have a good hand.
Following happened a lot: Last 3, top 2 get paid. I have most chips, second guy goes all in preflop. Ok well got A9 KQ etc... looks good to call. Well nope he might have better cards or just wins with worse and now I am as good as out even though the third guy was almost done for. And I quit unpaid cause of terrible patience.

Also I used to rage a lot throwing cards away which would've turned into gold after flop.

all the time.... made me want to play every shithand. But nope not gonna do that.

I know this is propably very basic knowledge, maybe thats even wrong but it works for me.
Last but not least I kind of learn to figure people out but can't explain exactly how. The way they bet when they have something or just wanna steal blinds is very obvious sometimes.

just play tight, you never have to put a cent in the pot in cashgames, and in tournaments keep over 10 blinds, if u dip to 8 or so just ship 89+ and get chips back in good spots

take your time and use your head, think hard before committing a turn or river bet as they are the sizable bets.

good luck kiddo,

goin to play some sc2 right now =)

Just remember you need to be god damn sure about their tendencies. -Artanis11 http://www.pocketfives.com/profiles/neillyaa/

Hey, HEM 2 is free 30 day trial, just check save hand history in stars, and everything starts automatic when you launch it, don't need to set up anything in there or customize your hud, the default one is pretty good.
