Is it allowed to think in terms of luck? Cause I had a lot of bad luck today alright...
Even though I quit playing Hyper speed Sit & Go's which helps a lot with that preflop allin shit (thanks for the tip guys, I thought everyone grinds Hyper before I read otherwise in the comments ^^ ), theres still plenty around. And even though I know I have the better hand, I have this feeling I shouldn't call. Because every time I do I get punished hard. Losing KK to Q 7 feels tough man.. specially When you go out as third unpaid. (a lot of "I"'s up there, sorry not a native English speaker)
Oh well I have the feeling I make the right choices and overtime it will pay. As for my 10$ - 1000$ challenge I'm doing it step by step and after 4 sweaty hand days of poker I broker 50$ today. I just lost one to 46$ but the mark has been broken anyway.
Hoping I continue making progress. The first 3 days Ive felt I learn more and more by hand. This day was kinda playing my game and luck will decide the rest. Hopefully Ill learn more tomorrow.
PS: K9 suited is my favorite hand and never lets me down.

I think you will have a better time in the long run if you learn to care more about your skill level and the decisions you make rather than the amount of money that you can win.
Instead of having a money goal and having pressure on yourself partly from factors that you have no control over (variance), try to focus on what you can actually control - the decisions you make with each street.
If you do not work towards the point of being able to be happy or at least not affected when you make the right play but lose due to variance, you're gonna experience a lot more anguish than you need to. Practically speaking, I imagine this would affect your play via tilt and you then go into a downward spiral of more bad play and even more tilt.
Having a favourite hand because of results you have got with it also shows your unhelpful attitudes towards the game. |

That sounds like a very helpful advice! thanks for that. Yea till now I always had the money as my goal. The favorite hand was some sort of joke. I recently saw an interview of pro players which everyone had a "weak" favorite hand. Not like I play King 9 every time ^^. Anyway thanks for your words of wisdom! |
