So after losing 35$ to "bad beats". Well not really bad beats. But at the time calling I had 50%+ in every Sit & Go. I started going hardcore tilt and played Omaha for the first time. After 3 hands I won back 60$ so I left quite happily with the outcome.

Can someone tell me what style of poker is considered the most solid? Omaha, holdem, nl/pl, Sit & Go's, tournaments or standard tables? My goal is not the quick money. But I want to be rewarded for being a good player some day.

I know a lot of you should be quite experienced in the choice of pokerstyle and their pro's and con's.

For my 10$ - 1000$ challenge I'm still at 50$

I'm not really sure but here's my view.

NLHE cash games - steady win rates can be achieved but the game is very far evolved especially 6max is hard and full ring you need a lot of patience.

PLO a lot of bad players game is still evolving but you need very big volume and can be soul crushing.

Sit and go's ring game - probably the 'easiest' route for micro players and most solvable imo.

Nlhe hu - amazing winrates can be achieved with bumhunting and specializing but it's dying.

Mtts very frustrating and you need huge volume and bankroll management but definitely profitable because fish will always love them.

What you need to figure out is what most suits your personality and what you think is the most exciting.
People think PLO is harder than NLHE but in my opinion nlhe is harder.
The pure bluffing aspects to the game, I end up leveling myself / becoming a station and I get very impatient but it depends on your personality.

SNG --> slow mtt transition, stay on that forever.

I have some friends that have decent success at SNG/MTT's, but they all struggle so hard when they try out cashgames... Its like if they get dealt a good preflop hand they are already in "all-in modus" from their sitngoe experience.

So maybe start out with cashgames or be prepared for the transition to be extremly hard.

:D
