Poker is the same as any other job when you're not taking ridiculous gambles.

I think you should do a blog about life in Costa Rica. Pattern it after Joe Ingram's recent blog answering similar questions. What life is like there, what you like and dont like about it, how it compares to life in the USA, how long you see yourself living there, is it worth being there just for Pokerstars or would you rather grind live in the U.S. etc.

I appreciate the advice you've given me lately to clean up some of my leaks. Get some rest today and get back to winning tomorrow.

Thanks and Good luck.

newb, costa rica is great. thats all u need to know. its way better than the fucking states. states is govt controlled, fear based country. Costa Rica is a fun happenin place where u can do whatever the fuck u want whenever the fuck you want.

im not Joe, and I don't care to write a blog like him, since well, I am me, and he is him.

We're friends, and he does his thing, and I do mine.

rescom, ur welcome sir.

newb, i play like 35 hr sessions n stuff and im always so tired, i'll do my best to let you guys know what its like etc in future blogs tho, good idea, just not gonna write up 10 page blogs like joey heehe

costa rica in a nutshell is like this.

amazing beaches, great food, women are fcking insane hot and love gringos (us)

internet is unstable so u need a backup 100%

if u like to party, every thing is super super cheap, thats a big plus

the country is awesome in 50% of it and very dangerous and very scary in 50% of it.

stay out of san jose, stay out of jaco with large sums of $, never let ur guard down when your out. don't ever get to drunk out or u will get robbed.

ive been robbed twice since i got here. one time wallet and phone stolen, other time just a really awesome phone.

learned the lessons tho, i live in a really nice condo with gated community and like 50 security guards, which makes life super awesome.

its all green everywhere, mountains are so beautiful everywhere, theres tons of ppl that are assholes, then tons of good people. its not too smart to trust many costa ricans, but there are some insanely awesome ones, don't get me wrong.

its legal to smoke a j going down the street, but if u have more than 1 then u can get arrested etc.

the girls are just flat out awesome

right now theres fireworks going on outside

everyday at 3pm - 7pm it storms super super hard. people on the beach need generators for power, but my condo is in a newly renovated area (5 yrs ago was onion fields) - im 2 hrs from the beach, and havent ever had any problems with it

its the 2nd best place i've ever lived, taiwan being the first, and well, both are so close. its paradise if you let it be, and its hell if you allow it to be.

theres tons of great bars, tons of great women, tons of cool hidden hotspots to go chill, having an aircard is awesome, u can grind ne where in the country etc;

i just flat out love it here, but in the states i don't really like it since its so govt controlled, and the country is fear based. FOX NEWS BABY LoL

theres no miltary here, ppl are super chill. i live in a super super nice area. very very little crime here. theres many areas that are full of crime etc tho, and u really gotta be super super careful. if u go to those areas, taxi there, do what u gotta do, and right away taxi home, no eye contact w/ anyone.

but in my town, u can do whatever.

2 mins up street is a sweetttttttttttt bar.

2 mins down street is mad restaurants and shopping centers etc

cost of living is a little lower than in the usa.

average costa rican makes about $25 a day

you can hire a maid for $20 a day, i have her cum once a week.

ne thing else u wanna know just lmk

im gonna burn one n go to the bar n have some dinner n a beer - back soon cuz sunday grindz;

btw - i am very very very good friends w/ a real estate agent, daphne is her name, her husband is one of my best friends. i can get ne one set up here in the snap of a finger within anyones price range.

GL~
hope that helps;
Ryan

theres also tons of secluded beaches, plan on moving to one pretty soon , gonna need a backup power genny tho as well, if woodbrave comes, we're prolly gonna get a house together. im going to rent to own.

i never want to leave.

btw, u can get citizenship here if u have a baby here, even if u move here when ur girls 8.5 months pregnant, if ur baby is born here, you can get citizenship for 2k. otherwise, every 3 months, you must leave country 3 days. not a big deal, good to see family and south america;

Awesome update, exactly what I wanted to read. Should just copy/paste this into its own blog entry "Costa Rica thus far".

Last question - what made you decide on costa rica?
