Finally pulled the trigger.
Now I just have to deal with my crippling addiction to chess...

I've done that many times lol. Recently I removed SC2, WoW and D3 from my computer. Sick rush for the rest of the day after doing it xD.
I think we just really want to play since we're bored. When we're home, and it starts to creep in, feels natural to just log on something. Think we just need to fill it with something equally awesome xD

I don't think an addiction to chess is a bad thing. I have been grinding the chess.com tactics trainer on my iphone for a while now. Very fun and I think it is good for the brain! |

not going to install D3. Never ever.
Yeah, that's right, It does creep in, then consumes all free time. Good to get rid of it! It's only good if its a social game.

I don't understand why you would want to stop playing SC and chess. Do you have that much ambition in life as to get rid of games that are healthy to play? They're not mind-numbing like a lot of games.
What is better to do with your free time? |

fuck I should just sell some of my Pokemon cards, if no one stakes that is what I will have to do - lostaccount | |

I think the way I am using them has become mind numbing. 3 minutes to get a match, then 5 minutes of building up drones for 30 seconds of challenge where I slip my macro and lose over the next 5minutes. It frustrating and I'm not really improving at all.
This is absolutely the most exciting time to be alive, so whatever you do, don't be bored.
some things like programming an android app, or seeking out a japanese penpal for learning language, or making a time lapse video of the cityscape, would be better uses of my time, and I'd be more involved, making full use of the power available to me.
Been meaning to have a look round steam too, there must be some good strategy games out. Oh, and I want to get MOO2 working on Dosbox so i can play a friend over virtual lan.
I think I should play more socially if I do continue, find some people and coach each other. And put alot more effort into improving eg, 2 hours of macro trainging maps, and one hour of laddering.
welp, I'm open to ideas |
