Really liked it as well, showed it to a mate who has been a marinejeger for 8 years. He kept nodding agreeing, then said it was too soft lol.
They got stripped naked, they had to sign contracts in case of injury. They got their bums checked. 80% of the guys in here wouldn't be able just to keep up since they don't have the minimum physical ability needed, you NEED 12 pull ups, or you're excluded, not because you "No I won't give up", but because you "can't".
And it was a much longer trial period, not 14 weeks, then easier stuff, relaxtion. That time is also a lot longer.
Not hating on it, I couldn't last any of these lol, but just wanted to make a point that it's not softer these days than before. MAybe in ways like, we don't hit or spit, or kill people if they don't obey. But the physical strength needed, the endurance and the "mind" terror thingys, they take a lot further than this.
In Norway after the first month with hell, 85% has usually quit by now. And then they take LARGE tasks like, survive in the forest for 2 weeks, and they get dropped middle of nowhere, with very little with them, and they have some tracking thingy, and can call it quits, and a Helicopter would come pick them up.
Don't watch a lot of shows, entertainment, or stuff, I usually turn off pretty quick. But these kept me interested through all 4 parts, so thanks. Watched 3, but going to watch the last one now xD |
