Hello, some of you may know me not by David (my real name) but as naranjito, an ex brood war player from Peru.

My motivation in creating this blog is to keep track of my success/failure and to know if I'm really cut off to be a professional poker player (that's my main motivation, although very improbable, but I'm gonna try).

My goal is to sustain myself with something that I really like to do, and not what I must do (boring works, etc). Although my ultimate goal in life is to make a movie (or several) and for that I need the monies. Monies that I will earn from poker (a game I'm really enjoying as of late) hopefully.

The Start

So, long story short, my bw mate iG.Fenris talked to me about pokerstrategy, and how I got 50$ absolutely free to play poker at party. I didn't believe this at first but everyone in the bw community was talking a lot about poker, so I really wanted to try it, and got my first 50$ in January, about 4 months ago. I have a lot to thank to Fenris even if he just casually talked to me about poekrstrategy. He isn't much known here I guess but he makes a lot of money from poker, high stakes.

From there I learned everything I could from the pokerstrategy articles, and since I thought the shortstack strategy which they promoted was really gay, I decided to play with a full stack since the beggining.

I realize now that I got mass lucky, because I earned up to 150$ in my first wekk, by playing a lot and basically going all with in NL10$ just with Top pair, top kicker on the flop. Crazy ignorant days.

I thought poker was sooo easy, that I cashed out the 100$ that I earned and was ready to try again, little did I know that I was going to lose my last 50$ in a couple of days.

From there I decided to really put effort into learning the game properly and bumped into this great place Liquidpoker.net, I've learned a lot from this and pokerstrategy. I gotta come clean and say that I'm still a breakeven player at NL25$(but huge winner in NL5$ and NL10$), a winner in MTT's and a small winner in SNG's.

Bankroll

I have a 650$ bankroll at partypoker. I have cashed out all my tourney wins to not lose them like I lost 400$ in cash games NL200$ from a tourney I won. I'm not gonna make the same mistake. I have a "potential bankroll" at my bank account of about 1200$ from my tournament winnings, but I'm not gonna deposit that again until I'm a big winner at NL50$, and I'm ready to go to another website to take advantage of rakeback and promotions.

The Present

I think I'm getting better at this game, but my main weakness is that I still get bluffed a lot and fold better holdings. I play a little too scared sometimes, and sometimes (although much less than before) I tilt and can lose 50$ in a blink. I'm following what Nazgul said at some interview, and just playing really good hands at micro limits, just slowly grinding until I adquire more experience.

Last sunday

On a side note just recently I won a 3$ subqualifier to a 26$ qualifier to the 300K$ Sunday Partypoker tournament. Actually I won 3 of those subqualifiers, but I just won once the 26$ qualifier so I played the sunday tourney last sunday. Sadly I lost after the 2nd break and got 500th position, just got 1 AA and from there my best holding was AQ. Not my best tourney but I will try to qualify again through the same method.

The Future

I don't really see myself doing anything else than playing poker to earn money. Luckily my dad earns enough to give me comforts so that I don't have to work while I'm studying at the university, and that gives me plenty of time to poker everyday.

I'm gonna be a winning high stakes player. And from there I will be a professional poker player. I know I can do it, but I also know it will be hard.

Good luck to all, see you next week dear blog.

PS: next entry will be much more entertaining and fun. Actually I dont expect anyone to fully read this until I'm fairly known and have the monnies, then hopefully new players will read the beginnings.
