Since moving up to 25NL I haven't experienced the same success as I had at the limits before. I don't feel it's harder, but I've just played worse and ran bad.

Started yesterday in my first 500 hands losing 3 buy-ins, spending all day trying to grind it back. I did, went over it and then lost my winnings again. Ending up with a 0.09 BB/100 session after 15 hours of play.

This morning, same thing happened, but even worse. Lost AA vs KK, AA vs AQ, small pots and an awful tilt bluff. Back down to -4 buy ins.

I know, I shouldn't whine too much, in the little over a month I have been playing again I haven't experienced any real downswings yet, but progression stagnating is a bit demoting.

Been testing out some PLO lately, on micro, to try and learn some more of that shit lol.

Worst downswings so far was one day i dropped almost 8bi, then next session a few days later 10bi. 18bi, but didn't feel so sick, since it was plo, and ppl kept saying "lololol STD haha"

Just trying to cheer you up, 3bi is like pfffth. xD

yeah 10BI swings is like completely standard for most sessions. I go from -5 to +5 or whatever all the time. Especially when you play for so long.

Nice volume though 15 hours is pretty sick

Thanks for the encouragement guys!

Yeah I read about people swinging 5-10bi, but I've never experienced it myself. My way up has been relatively smooth.

Also, I think it's because the swings comparatively are huge at 25NL compared to 10NL. Relatively the same, but hurts more when I see the numbers at the cashier.

15 hours is a lot for me too. Before college starts again in September I want to get as many hands in as possible, improving as much as I can. I'm aiming for at least 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. I've cancelled most of my plans. I want to see how far I can get.

Results for today

I'm pretty happy with it. Got my 12 hours in and ended up decently well. Not the bb/100 I'm aiming for tho, definitely could improve.

Also, my winnings in the second session of the day was mainly due to one my last hands. Villain was someone who multiple times 3bet my blind steals (with me trying to steal it again on the flop or turn). This one went a bit out of hand.
