Read marshall's blog (well more like tl;dr and scrolled down to be honest ), and then clicked the tyson link below. After the video there was some other links with random interviews and stuff.
This one was pretty bizarre.
Mike Tyson is like a legit enigma or something. Can Rainkhan or some sports genius explain to me what's with Mike Tyson. Sometimes he seems borderline eloquent and insightful...
and then he says stuff like I'll fuck you till you love me faggot.
I hereby vote Mike Tyson #1 interesting celebrity of the last century.
and a good one.

I would love to see him write an autobiography. Probably an impossible task but I definitely share your appetite for insight. Truly a fascinating individual.

“[On his childhood] One morning I woke up and found my favorite pigeon, Julius, had died I was devastated and was gonna use his crate as my stickball bat to honor him. I left the crate on my stoop and went in to get something and I returned to see the sanitation man put the crate into the crusher. I rushed him and caught him flush on the temple with a titanic right hand he was out cold, convulsing on the floor like an infantile retard.”
My favorite tyson quote ever

The most basic ankle pick would crush anyone sporting a standard boxing stance
We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.

In one of his interviews, he mentioned a bully that grabbed his pigeon and broke its neck, he said he kicked the kids ass. Apparently he was small and was picked on, plus he was black and grew up in a poor part of New York.

He is definitely one of the greatest boxers of all time along there with Ali, leaving others behind. He is just a beast of a man. If you aren't intimidated getting in a ring with him you are very fucking stupid. The guy has an eye for weakness and packs a lethal punch. He has so much KO power. I'd imagine he would just charge at his opponent and inflict pain. His defence in boxing was brilliant and he could definitely take quite a few punches. If he had any motivation left in him to train (that's where champions are made) he would make for a spectacular event and be a hell of an opponent to anyone. His demeanor, manners and intentions have evil written all over. I've seen every single professional fight he has had and seen the documentary aswell. When he is hitting you he is imagining his fist going through the back of your skull.
Here are some quotes for those who cba to watch the documentary. IMDB quotes

IMPORTANT EDIT.
The first link was broken and noone told me :/
If you watch the first interview (long but good), it's interesting to see the sort of dr jekyl mr.tyson thing. I dunno, even beyond sports the guy clearly has some kind of desire to at least try and present himself more intellectually than say a Floyd Mayweather. Crazy guy no doubt.

watching the first interview is funny to think just a couple years later the same guy bit off a dude's ear
(let alone all of the other crazy shit he's done/said that you can contrast his behavior in that interview with)

Taken out of context they are awful, yes. The interviewers are assholes aswell. There are too many videos to post where they just provoke, ask retarded questions to get a story. Maybe you've seen the Chael Sonnen one.

he was a boxing talent, no doubt, probably one of, if not the, best heavyweight boxers of all time. however his poor and severely broken childhood kinda fucked him up. he was the youngest ever to become world champion i think (20 years) and after a couple of years of being nearly unbeatable he started partying more and training less so it just kinda went downhill from there. his distinctive (to say the least) persona made him a very huge media person. i would really recommend that you watch the movie made about him named Tyson (2008) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1032821 . it's a bit biased obv, making him out to be a totally awesome guy. he might have been, but it's best watched with a grain of salt, nom sayin.
