You really should not be scared or shaken up or anything. You have done nothing. They cannot harm you. Don't be rude by any means, but don't let them walk all over you. Take their names and their badge #. If you have a camera, should whip it out and start recording in case something unlawful happens.

You guys are idiots, DO NOT PLAY tough guy with the cops. They do not really need a warant or put you under arrest. They have guns. I know freinds who were doing stupid shit like asking for warrant, and ... They can ALWAYS say they "thought" they had probable cause. They gonna take their loaded gun and aim it in your face then you will do whatever they say you would do. And what are you going to do? Sue them with no camera+witness over them ruining a few hours of your life?

In any case (if you haven't done anything) when a cop stops you understand that he has a gun and you don't. So you just tell him you are sorry officer and he is free to do whatever he wants. Do not make a situation out of a non-situation.

If you have weed in the car, or if you are getting hold up by them for no reason and looong period of time then you can ask if you are under arrest cause you really have to go back home and ...

Understand that while you are a nice guy, in a cops life his friends sometimes gets killed by people who are JUST as innocent looking as you. And Im sure if any of you had just lost a couple of guy to random innocent looking people in car they would be as much of an asshole as the cops. I respect the cops because I know when in the city bullets start flying around they are there and Im outta there. And I want to keep it that way.

considering 80% cops work on desks and/or write tickets for a living their job has hardcore anxiety true story .... truth s most ppl just cant handle even such minor legal power over others well

me and my friend were walking home the other night so a patrol pulls over and asks for IDs n shit we give em .. you know everything s routine ... they give us our ids back and one of them tells us "you know we usually call in the station that we just checked 2 random citizen but you guys dont look like criminals so thats pointless " so it got me thinking .. we obv dont look like we are under 18 and he just said we dont look like criminals so why would you even bother to check us? and wth does "you dont look like criminals " mean ? I could be dressed up nicely but your friend cop couldve just put up a signal for me like 2 hrs ago for something so by not even announcing our names or description or w/e at station you potentially let criminals loose. Meaning you just waste 2 mins of your life, you just wasted 2 mins of my life and you did absolutely nothing .. why the fuck would you do that ? And thats just about something routine rofl

^^cops are always exposed to the scummiest people and they rarely ever trust any "citizen". just be polite, respect authority and 99% of the time their ego gets scratched and send you on your way. if you wanna prove a point to them and risk some, don't complain about cops being assholes if they don't respect your rights if your little experiment goes wrong. there are douche cops as there are douchy teachers, doctors lawyers, the difference is they have a loaded gun and have good days and bad like every other asshole out there. your choice.
