I don't get why anyone would care, but that's probably because I barely know a single person who even takes religion seriously. |

I'm not sure if cheerleader's banners qualify as an institution of state. |

It's supposed to be implied nolan, but in reality, it's quite the opposite.
Numerous laws are in place directly due to christian/religious influence.
It's a big fucking joke, really.
If the founding fathers saw what a circus the political atmosphere has become (and as such, the constituents), they'd probably be rolling in their graves. |

The reason why they can do this is because it's the cheerleaders themselves doing it. The school doesn't sponsor or pay or help out in any way. Had they, then the school would've been in some shit.
It's also funny, because they are saying "I can win through God" when the other team is exactly the same as them. God doesn't favor a high school football team, LOL. God won't be changing a pass to be an interception, that's only the players abilities at work there.
Also, I'd love to see a Muslim football team to have Koran quotes while a Christian football team has Bible quotes. That would be interesting. |

The school gives them room on their field during a school(state)-sponsored event. Its like saying they can have a preacher come onto the field and lecture for 10 minutes before the football game because the preacher asked to, isn't being paid, and is doing it on his own volition |

I dunno man. Its real here. It isn't even like 10% or something, but many companies absolutely won't hire non-christians. Our totally non-religion affiliated pop music stations have DJs that praise the lord and remind you to too, etc. |

In the same vein I don't get how people miss the point of the first amendment that grants citizens freedom of speech and religion. |

That's where I'm at. It's a public event on publicly paid for property sporting giant banners with bible quotes.
This should be offensive to the idea of America.
I really wish that this high school team rivals would have some of the more absurd Quran quotes being displayed at their home games to step up the beef. |
