I thought the USA was supposed to have crappy internet, but whenever I have skyped with friends in other countries, or have lived overseas, or hear/read about from forums about Internet...there is always some relatively low cap usage and seemingly expensive rates, and more often than not, slow speeds.

I pay about $30 a month for unlimited , 30 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload. I haven't Googled fastest speeds for country or anything - this is way too random and I am feeling way too lazy. Just curious what it is like everywhere else, because I think I get pretty good speed for price, usage, etc.

that's 70$ + a month here, same specs, with 160gb cap ;/

no kidding.. im paying like $40-50 for crap speed and 60gb limit. the fuck. I gotta find something better

US has options. Canadians have little options unless you are in a big city. Pretty sure most nations that have billing by usage have other options, or just don't have that at all. There aren't that many developed nations that has this jew shit.

not sure what the speed is, i think the fastest you can get in NZ is 24mbps..

NZ has one of the worst internet in the developed nations, yeah. Canada is probably second.

i pay $37 for 15-20mpbs connection, while other people have to pay more for 10mpbs and forced plans of basic tv cable and or telephone. (they dont give you the internet service unless you contract tv/phone, thats like 50 channels, where like 10 are from std antenna, 10 of commercials, and the rest just more BS)

my only other option is DSL which is slower for same price. Cable companies basically get exclusivity in certain areas, at least in competition amongst each other, and only compete with directv and dish (satellite).

for example, there won't be time warner and comcast in the same neighborhood, at least in my experience.

i pay 20 bucks for a 1gb connection but can burst up to 15bg when downloading. eat it.

EU has like way better infrastructure for Internet than NA too. I remember living in Toronto, connecting to some NY server, my shit would be routed through fuckin' Chicago for some reason.

$15 for 12Mbps download, no cap.
