So here are the results from my first week of poker.
4 tabling zoom is pretty much fun. Played like an hour each day and it seems I can't concentrate for much longer. Any hints on how to focus better? My attention is definately going down after 30 minutes. Is a winrate of 18BB/100 realistic over the long run at NL5? I usually don't think so, but maybe something like 8-10BB/100...
Really appreciate to have the possibility to talk about Poker here, thanks guys

to stay focused, try to note players who consistently show up at your table and see if you can spot their tendencies (the hands they play, how they play them, etc)
get a larger hand sample size before worrying about winrate and see how it goes.
also, if you find it hard to maintain focus for much more than an hour, dont play much longer, just play a couple of 1 hr sessions with a break.
5 minute showers are my 8 minute abs. - Neilly

a "good" winrate is like 5 ptbb. anything over that is borderline impossible over a big sample
shoving here as a bluff at 50NL is like explaning calcalus to a 6 month old cat wtf are you thinking - TalentedTom

err quite a bit more is possible at 5nl

Looking good. Stay focused and crush.
Don't be afraid to take a break if you go on a bad run, even if it's for a couple days. People find themselves playing much better after taking a break for 2-3 days.

Dont worry about winrate, just play each hand the best you know how dont make errors and exploit opponents. Winrate will reveal itself over time.
In terms of endurance goose has good ideas it also takes time to build up the mental stamina. I drink green teas and otherwise keep my antioxidants and blood oxygen high. Gotta feed the brain.
Take breaks when you feel tired or you are not playing well anymore. I take break almost every hour at least to get a drink/snack and use the restroom doesnt have to be long just 10 min to get up and stretch and you will be amazed how much more alert you will become.

Hey, several people have over the last week asked me about concentration, focus questions. And I have helped them all. My sister also has exams coming up, and this is what I sent her earlier today. One of my older notes.
Folk lær litt forskjellig, men folk som resonner veldig til lyd gjør d bra med lav lyd i bakgrunn. F.eks slikt med headphones kan virkelig hjelp å zone inn på det man studer.
(Veit ikke, men har hørt at folk som ser ting mest i bilda å resonner meir til d isje får like stort utbytte). Men e gjort en del ny research på at d hær funk.
Også ting som e bra e å studer, fortsett når man føl man har progress. Med en gang man føl man bi frustret å førvirra, sett fast. Da e d veldig dumt og fortsett. Man vil da ha alpha waves, å d kjem fra høyre hjernehalvdel (litt oppfør øre lol). Så da e d lurt å gjør ting ho lik, gå tur, varm dusj, hør musikk, se en venn, relax. Å så fortsett etterpå.
Mat e også viktig, orsk ikke gå før mye inn på det. Men Bær, ginseng, fisk, mørk sjokolade, caffein (ikke før mye caffein, tøm levra, mye stress på glandsa om man tar d før mye, men 2 koppa e greit. KAffe gjør ikke at man gjør ting bedre, men man kan holdtpå lenger me ting man allerede kan).
Skjit i godterier, brus etc, alt før mye side effects. + d e double edged sword, ting som har aspartam i seg sjøl ødelegg hjernens egenskap til å reproduser celle og hold på minnan, så d e placebo effekt når man studer me brus lol.
Søvn e viktig, man møst konsentrasjon sick lett om man søv før lite. De fleste treng rundt 8 tima, e få som klar seg på 4-5, d e genetisk, + om man tren treng man automatisk 1-2 tima meir før å bygg opp, ellers våkn man me inertia å fær bare vals rundt lol.
Ofte e d ting rundt som ødelegg konsentrasjon. Om man står opp, å så surf i 30 min, ser ett show. Text mye på tlf, har man allerede masse instant gratification og ting i hjernen. Best å ha "d klart" å så gjør morgen rituale, dyp post. Litt vann me salt i, så litt meir vann, og en god frokost, å så sett igang me en gang.
Om ho har 5 min me konsentrasjon, så vil ho slit uannsett. Men de hær tipsan hjelp uannsett, men e no som må bygges opp.
Ok, d får håll. Du kan sei til ho at vanlige folk, når de får tips, hjelp, idea, så zone de ut me en gang man får over 3 tips, man bi fort overwhelmed, bryr seg ikke. Så e kanskje isje rett at eg skriv så mye, men e lik ikke sånn pesudo, pop-self improvement shit. E lik å gå litt i d xD
