Managed to survive my first week back training, barely. Damn, I had no idea how out of shape I let myself get over the prior 6months. These breaks are fucking killing me. I currently wouldn't last 1rd with myself from 6 months ago, not even just a cardio thing but tiny mistakes(some large ones too) and brain farts walking myself into bad position that I would never do before. Good news is in the last week I've lost 8lbs and can now go a 4-5hour day without vomiting so that's always a plus. Sore as hell and black and blue from head to toe. Thankgiving getting in my way tho and the gym is closed for the next 3 days since everyone is traveling for the holiday so time to put those 8lbs back on and carb load for the next month or two.

fuck that I'm going swimming in a large ass bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy, I'll just run 10-15miles in the morning to make up for it...yes I have issues.

mma training is hard as fuck I imagine

I've been back in the (normal kind of) gym for a couple of months now and 50% of my workouts still make me feel like shit and I'm weak.

Luckily I'm in there just to get healthy, fit, and don't have to worry about defending myself while getting my exercise LOL.. Though that might make it more interesting.

Since you're in USA, you'll probably start eating a lot more bread, if you haven't already. Americans love grain.

Cut out as much bread and rice from your diet as possible, and stick to portion size as best as possible.
You probably know that you can lose a bunch of weight by eating the same food, but just smaller portions each time, and keep eating throughout the day.

The fat fucks in America love to eat and get full. I could start a whole new rant on how stupid this idea is, but I'm sure you can find out why you shouldn't eat to feel full.

I've had a lot of issues in the past with dieting really hindering my training. Growing up I had a step mother that would kick my ass if I didn't eat everything on the plate and if I ate too much and puked she would kick my ass even harder, to the point where some nights I thought she would end up killing me, broken ribs and shit that I had to play off as sports injuries, so I literally ended up training myself as a child to be able to keep eating long after I was full and it later got to the point where I mentally felt like I had to eat after I was full even to the point of finishing off left overs on the stove or my wife's plate, I've manage to kick the habit now but the urge is still there, and when I do give in my brain still rewards me with a nice chemical happiness.

Oh shit, she'd literally kill me. I'm the kind of guy who leans his head forward at a plate, then oink my nose a little while I go through what's on the plate. And I start picking off, removing thingys I don't want lol.

Yeah I've told this to a couple of people, but its rare that anyone takes it to heart. In NotSorry's case, there is probably an argument for the huge carbs and shit though. It might be different for others, but its ridiculously hard for me to put on any weight without huge carb intake (..so I haven't put on weight ). Athletes just seem to need the carbs to burn.. Or else we'd hear about how few carbs and shit the Olympic athletes or basketball players eat.

That's shitty. Glad you kicked the habit and even gained a useful skill for staying in heavyweight lol
