Finally my Samsung 305t is crapping out. The thing just flickers dark shadows whenever I turn it on now so I just disconnected it and am playing only on my 24" LG. The resolution is not very good and I can't really fit more than 4-6 tables on there comfortably.

I need to get a new setup. I looked at the 30" monitors available and they all seem to be >$900. I don't think it's worth it to spend that much money just to get an extra 3 inches when the 27's are significantly cheaper. I've never played on a 27 before though. Do you guys have any experience doing so? If you have, which monitors would you recommend? I'm thinking about getting 2 27s.

Your not paying for 3 extra inches, your paying for extra resolution.

I do agree 30'' monitors are pretty expensive but they are a lot better than the 27'' ones for sure.

the dell series is really good IMO, I got a 27 inch dell myself. when I was looking for a new monitor it was between the 30 or the 27 inch one, I figured it wasnt realy worth the money for the 30 inch since you can almost buy 27 inch ones for that money, which is much better resolution wise I think.

Got a 27 inch DELL and it's great I think. Never played on a 30 inch though.

got 30" 3007wfp dell and it's pretty damn good, you can eaisly watch movies/tv shows on it,
but I bought it before you could resize on any site (maybe it was possible on stars, but I played somewere else then),
these days you could easily go with 27''.

also if you could attach second monitor just for lobbies (I had 20" 204b samsung for it), on the main monitor you can 9 table almost without any resizing.

^^ +1 on the dell

your gonna crap your pants when you see the resolution, it puts 1080p to shame. I can't even use regular monitors anymore, they all feel pixelated

If that doesn't matter to you + if you plan on spending many hours in front of your computer (as we all do) you can look into something that goes above the conventional 60HZ apparently the higher the refresh rate the easier it is on your eyes

Whatever you do, don't get a 27inch, it makes everything ugly.

Seeing you guys dissing 27 inch monitors, and realizing that I have 17inch one feels pretty weird.

My favourite line is Bet/Fold. I bet, you fold.

17 inch will actually look decent because the resolution is good for its size, but when you stretch out that same resolution on a 27inch it will look pixilated (similar to stretching am image in paint)

just looked at 27 and 30 inch monitors. the 30 inch monitors are like $900 more than the 27 inch ones. Insane.

I did it all. I settled on 1 30. Personal preference. 1 20 for all the clients + hu waiting + 1 30 for the owning was alright but at times for me I just wanted all my consciousness on 1 screen. I would recommend any professional to trial at least 1 30.
