goal is to lose a lot of poker fat ive accumulated over 3 years mainly in the gut area. its become this gelatinous blob and im getting lines below my chest. motorized treadmills have become relatively cheap these days so I plan to watch stock tickers while walking ala tom cruise in vanilla sky lolol
movies heh just downloaded here comes the boom, stand up guys. have watched a shitton of movies before though and here are some of which I recommend:

Ok tom cruise makes better movies in general
just bought this awesome win 8 tablet! no regrets except for occasional hiccups with wifi,keyboard but its fine

just doing walking stuff byrne. I cant really do running/jogging optimally past the 10minute mark and I think just walking as long as it's for longer peroids of time is better for me (not sure but it's the only thing im capable of anyway)

if you have gut fat, then the only way to burn it off is DIET + treadmill. You are going to need to go calorie negative daily to see any results before you end up quitting from lack of results. You should find something like 1500 calories of high quality foods

Walking is indeed a lot better than running.
Btw, losing weight is 90% changing your diet. Don't undercut calories, change how you eat, gl.

yeah im not really a big eater, but lack of exercise plus yeah cutting down of fatty food is probably what I need

it's a hell of a lot better than nothing? personally, i'd rather get a stationary bike though, go a solid 40 mins on that a day and i'll be damned if you don't see results.
walking.. yeah, that can take many months before you see any change at all.

Its not about "walking" or "running", its about getting your hearth rate to a good fat burning zone (around 140 bpm). It doesn't matter HOW you reach it.
For me to reach that, i need to at least do jogging, i cant reach it by just walking, so its not good for me, but someone fat and very out of shape can reach it by just walking.
However walking is always better than just sitting on your ass obviously =)

If you walk past thirty minutes due to it not being a massive cardio activity requiring tons of energy your body breaks down fat cells instead only past the thirty minute mark though, so theoretically solid diet plus walking if you have time is actually better if trying to burn fat only.

im not going to have a hard time with the eating part since I can easily control it especially when im in my "exercise" phase (I hate wasting all the exercise on a piece of cake or whatever). its just something about me that goes into this spiral - when I sit on my ass all day I eat more because I have nothing else to do, when im on my toes getting things done I have no time thoughts about burgers and pork chops.
btw my kids and wife are also using it, so far its not been a useless thing after all.
