Anime Recommendations?

DBZ/dragon ball, naruto or bleach are awesome.

Code Geass is one of those just like Death Note. Very mental-psychological thriller.

Cowboy Bebop.

And yeah Code Geass if you want something Death Note-esque (I thought it was better than DN)

Serial Experiments: Lain. Saw this recently, was pretty cool. More of an abstract/deep thinking anime, can be tough to get into but it is a short series. Definitely gotta watch it again to get all the meaning.

I loved death note as well and don't know if i've found an anime I like as much, but these I liked and they weren't childish.

My favourites last year has easily been the "new" version of Hunter x Hunter and Sword Art Online.

At times, hunter x hunter is a lot more "intelligent" than even Death note. So yay. Only downside is that the first 2 episodes can turn ppl off and seem bad. But it keeps growing every episode, so yay.

Definetly check out Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop, Kaiji (only 1st season) is great, Trigun and Berserk the animation is not great but otherwise are awesome shows. I wouldnt bother with Code Geass if you thought FMA was too childish.

Death note is quite childish too.
I liked it tho.
I loved Monster , I'm looking for some mature anime too

I personally like Berserk and YuYu Hakusho.

Ninja Scroll might be good as well, but I only saw a few episodes.

Whaaaat. FMA is a comedy slapstick humor anime.

Code Geass is a cliff-hanger psychological rush.

Code Geass for sure. Full Metal Alchemist. Yuyu Hakusho is like my fucking favorite anime ever. Hellsing. Hope that helps.

since everyone advised i downloaded and watched code geass first ep. its childish as fuck, couldnt watch ep 2
teenagers, robots, alien superpower, idiotic looks and retarded dialogues

i need an anime where there are adult main characters without retarded hair and clothes and with thinking, violence and sex

^l also got to only about 5-6 eps of Geass so to be fair I dont know if maybe it gets good later on but I was annoyed with it, I dont care if it was cheesy on purpose and couldnt be bothered to continue. FMA I really liked fwiw.
dnagardi check out those 5 titles I gave in my post, thats the hall of fame of anime as far as Im concerned. Other good ones are Hajime no Ippo (really long tho, longer than GTO), Basilisk (Romeo and Juliet with ninjas), Seirei no Moribito is one of my favorites but may not be to everyones liking, Claymore is pretty good, Detroit Metal City is funny.

Code Geass got very cliche, and made cliffhangers just for the sake of having cliff hangers and contrived plot twists. First season was pretty good, but you could tell near the end of season 1 that season 2 was going to be more fan-service and less plot developments.

If you want the mature genre, definitely Monster.

Black Lagoon was pretty good as well
