I think it'll be HUGE for Soccer in the states here.
Also the fact that Beckham wants to purchase a team.
Living in MN it's also very interesting since the new Vikings Football stadium is being built and the owner of the vikings has exclusive rights to an MLS expansion team. (which I hope they buy MN United FC and not start a brand new team)
Anyways I think this is HUGEEEEEEE and also very awesome. What're your thoughts?

I am a huge fan of the game. I also live in Vancouver and I went to one MLS game vs NY or LA ( I don't even remmeber the team, that's how fucking bad it was). The quality of the game is soooooooo bad. I have refused free tickets from friends multiple times after that. A league that doesn't have relegation and promotion is a disgrace. Also this "play-off" bullshit is something i can not understand.
I rather wake up at 5am to watch Juventus vs Catania via a crappy Russian stream online than go to a free MLS game. That's how bad the quality of the game is in MLS. |

In US everyone is happy as long as all the prices are rising. Unless its crude oil - Marc Faber | |

I'd say give the system time to grow and sit back and watch how north america will close the skill gap with European teams. MLS already has more attendance than Basketball, and is now a more popular sport than baseball among youth growing up.
And whether you dislike the skill level at the moment, the teams that the MSL, USL, and the NASL have are really impacting the game positively, especially those with youth programs. It's pretty exciting to watch imo, to have a hometown team - even it's not top tier. |
